  1. We were on Freedom in late August and thought the food and service were great.
  2. It was available all the time on our last cruise.
  3. What date in November are you sailing? We will be on Indy November 26-30.
  4. Thank you for sharing. Glad you had a great trip. We were in 9338 last month and had the same cabin attendant. He was absolutely wonderful. We are booked on Independence for November. I am hoping it is as wonderful as Freedom!
  5. Really enjoying this thread so far. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on CCL. It has been many years since I have been on CCL, but my son has expressed some interest in the new ships. We shall see.
  6. Thank you both for the info. This helps tremendously as I just wasn't sure of the efficiency of the layout.
  7. Has anyone sailed from Terminal G lately? We haven't been out of this terminal since the comeback, so I was wondering about the experience. Also, is here a suite area available now? As I recall, there was previously a separate check-in area for suites, but the general line to get into the terminal was used by everyone. Thanks.
  8. Yes, JR is typically open for complimentary breakfast on all Oasis class ships. It has always been open for breakfast when I have been on Harmony.
  9. I have never bought a dining package, but I do purchase the drink package sometimes because I enjoy specialty coffees and access to the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.
  10. We have made nachos at El Loco Fresh that were pretty good. The chicken quesadilla was okay. Like you said, it's a nice afternoon snack.
  11. For some reason, I think Wipeout Cafe used to have them on Allure. That was a long time ago. I could be wrong though.
  12. We just got off Freedom last week. We enjoyed the ship and the staff was great. Food was wonderful too. Plus, I always enjoy a day at Coco Cay! I have never sailed on Navigator, but visiting new ports would be a plus.
  13. We were on Freedom last week and there were Heidi machines in the casino.
  14. I can see why! I am hoping Indy is just as wonderful!
  15. I am by no means a picky eater, but I had prepared myself for pizza and Johnny Rockets based on what I've been reading. Honestly, it really was some of the best food I've ever had on a cruise. I would sail on Freedom again in a minute. We have Indy booked for November and now I'm worried it won't live up to Freedom!
  16. I think you will love it! We were happy to be close to the elevators and had no issues with noise at all!
  17. That sounds like a fun trip!'d love to help if I can. Yes, there is ample room in in the JS for an inflatable bed (I must admit though, I don't know the rules about having them onboard). I would say it would best fit in the area near the balcony door where the couch and chair are. You may have to get two tables beside each other. There are several options where there is a set-up for 10-12 people near windows that could work for you. They were VERY close, so it would be like being at the same table. For example, our dinner table was set-up like this in a 4-2-4 configuration. I did see larger groups with tables though. I would suggest contacting rcldining@rccl.com a couple of months before you sail. I think they will do their best to accomodate you. I hope you have a great time! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions.
  18. We did not use an Uber to get back to the airport, however, I did see cabs off to the right as we exited the building. Perhaps Uber pick-ups are also in that area. I am so sorry I am not more helpful!
  19. Stateroom/Attendant: We were in JS 9338. It was the typical JS. Our cabin attendant, Suraj, was wonderful! Our cabin was always tidy and his sense of humor was wonderful. MDR: We ate dinner in the MDR every night since our friends had no interest in specialty dining for dinner. We chose MTD and had reservations for 7:45pm every night. After the first night, we requested the same wait staff. Our request was granted and we sat at the same table each night. There was never a wait to be seated. Aris and Hope in the MDR were great! They anticipated our requests and were always quick to respond. We discussed the days events and what we had planned for the next day with them. Aris also made an effort to speak to us every morning at breakfast even if we were not assigned to his table. I feel like this type of experience is what makes the MDR what it should be. They were second to none! The food was always the appropriate temperature and was overall tasty. I have always loved the french onion soup. Some other standouts were the calamari app, crab cake, apple cobbler, tiger shrimp, carrot cake, mushroom risotto, NY strip and the chocolate-hazelnut cake. Windjammer: The food was good for a buffet. It was very crowded on the first day at lunch, but was fine the rest of the trip. To me, the desserts were lacking a bit. We did have breakfast there one morning and it was good. Other Food: El Loco Fresh was fantastic, but the line was always crazy long. Playmakers wings and nachos were fantastic. Sorrentos pizza was just how I remember it...a nice pizza fix. Entertainment: We frequented to casino and had a good experience there. There casino hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the various shows, but I do wish there was a bigger headliner show (like Grease, etc.). Pools: The pool areas were always clean and never really felt so crowded that you couldn't find a seat. We enjoyed our time in the pool areas. Bar Service: Bar service was excellent. No complaints whatsoever in this department. Drinks were not "watered down" as we sometimes hear complaints of and were very tasty. Ports: Coco Cay was a nice beach day. We rented a beach bed on Breezy Bay and we felt it was worth $199 to us. It was nice to have a home base for the day and some shade. Most of the time, I stay on the ship in Nassau, but we ventured off the ship this time because our friends had not been there before. We did some shopping, had a nice lunch and headed back to the ship. Overall, we had a great experience and our friends really enjoyed their first cruise. I have never sailed Freedom before and was pleasantly surprised! I will say that I was very skeptical of the MDR going in based on other reviews, etc., but our experience was good. Was it the best food I have ever had? No, but it was good and certainly edible. The service made it special.
