  1. Hope your friends aren't @go.without.you and Janelle! They are getting bad luck with bad babies and slow service. Feel sorry for them!
  2. We've never had a problem with our eight MSC cruises.
  3. I am guessing that Janelle "luvs" the airline she works at! ☺️😉
  4. No direct experience, but this source quotes MSC age from US (21+) and Non-US (18+) ports: https://cheap.cruiselines.com/cruise_info/age_requirements.cfm
  5. Vigilant? Aware? Or did you mean something more along the lines of "argumentative" or "vociferous"?

    MAGNETS

We have used magnets with no problem on Seaside, at least on the walls. Never tried the door.
  7. My interpretation included the whole sentence that was written, which suggests supposition not fact (my emphasis added), and the reference was to the restaurant, not the pool: "You have got to think that on a sea day, pretty much every seat in the restaurant is taken for lunch, whereas on a port day, it is emptier and guests are welcome."
  8. Possible I may have been right, but if you ask my DW, that never happens!☺️ If they were planning lunch ashore, I would think no one gets past the guard at the bridge to the YC area! She scrutinizes everyone!
  9. It ended up being a sea day, but the lunch was planned for what was then a scheduled stop. The woman reported that she couldn't go in to the YC because it became a Sea Day after all. Again, my point is valid on the plan: she could not have had lunch in the YC on Ocean Cay day!
  10. I read the same post, but interpreted it differently. What I saw was, "Ray was going to meet one of her YC friends at the YC restaurant. Cheree and I decided to do sushi." Didn't see a reference to was 'supposed to be allowed," only had planned to visit. Perhaps the friend had arranged it, but I am thinking her friend thought it could be done. At any rate, she would not have had lunch in the YC dining room. It is not open on Ocean Cay days for lunch.
  11. I'm not sure if what you are hearing is correct. Some time ago, certain YC directors may have allowed (at their discretion or occupancy level) some limited level of visitation into the YC, most always for a fee. Since the restart after COVID, I have not heard of any sort of visitation, regardless of whether it is a Sea or Port Day.
  12. True, except when the port day is Ocean Cay, the YC dining room is closed. Only the buffet/grill on the sun deck is open for meal service.
  13. Actually, auto corrupt typically refers to errors with attachment, the poster may have been a victim of an auto correction error, but that seems highly unlikely in this case (unless the poster was using dictation for message creation.
  14. Did you mean MSC Armonia. or the MSC Armadillo?😉 This is the best MSC spelling error ever!
  15. To clarify Dogshooter's comment on #4, At you mid-point stop in Miami, you have options. You can get off and quickly get back on after the ship count zeroes out, or you can go to Miami and do some sightseeing. As long as you are back by the required check-in time (usually two hours before debarkation), you will be fine. Since you have your cards for the next week already, you can bypass lines for check in.
  16. That was true, but changed a few months ago. With the alcohol package, you pay the difference now. In the OP's case, with no alcohol package, he would pay the whole price.
  17. Meraviglia has typically been two main theater shows per night, and when the Carousel Theater has shows, they usually schedule two as well.
  18. You answered your own question in this sentence above. Or, are you just trying to find someone to assure you that violating the rule is okay?
  19. I've sailed quite a few times in YC on five different MSC ships, and I have never been provided any mistress, let alone a better mistress! YVMV.😉
  20. We did the week we were on Meraviglia with you! Hope all is well.
  21. I hope you didn't have to ask the guard to remove that person's towel if they were chair hogging!😉
  22. You can pre-pay, but have to do it over the phone, from our experience. If you hit YC while in the phone tree on the call, you will generally get through fairly quickly. As far as posting of the hotel services fee, they usually post on day three for the week (at least from US sailings). That gives them time to sort through the guest list and know who is in what room. The charge is for that week or the sailing itself. It may be posted sooner if the sailing is only a three-trip.
  23. I know that the YC restaurant staff will be more than able to handle GF dietary requirements, but just make sure to review your needs on embarkation with staff (the maitre 'd or assistant should be near the Top Sail Lounge when you board). There was a review of GF on MSC last year. This was not for YC, but will give you an idea. I'm sure YC will outdo the experience for you and your family. https://thepointsguy.com/guide/gluten-free-msc-cruises/
  24. Sorry! Late to the Party! I - O!
  25. Same here! I'm sure it will be. The top three teams in the Big Ten are amazing, even TTUN!
