P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?
purplesea replied to Host Sharon's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Morning everyone, Hope you're all well. I have been us since early so decided I'd go to Tesco before the traffic builds, It's only taken me about 1 1/2 hours to drive there, get my shopping and drive back compared to the time it took me earlier on in the week. Would have taken less if they didn't keep moving things around😡 As the rest of my day is now free.🙂 Have a good weekend. -
Possibly. We flew out from Manchester a few years back on a Virgin Atlantic plane, part of the plane was P&O cruise passengers the rest of the plane was not.

Lovely photos.

So sorry, what a nightmare! -
I'd struggle to find anything on that menu! I expect I would end up with steak and cheese for afters.

P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

We have another nice sunny day and warmer than yesterday. You can definately tell the holiday season is in full swing as the traffic is chaos out. What should have taken me about 20 minutes took nearly an hour! I'm now going to make the most of the weather by taking a coffee and book into the garden. -
P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

I know what ship I'm going on and where it is going before booking. I also do my research as to my cabin, e.g. position on the ship, balcony, etc.! -
Thanks for a great review. Pity you didn't get to see Neil Lockwood, his performance when we were onboard in May was great. I would definately go and see him again if I get the chance.

Looking out this morning there's a lot of debris, so must have had some pretty strong wind and rain during the night. Still breezy but seems to be clearing up, a bit. Nothing exciting planned for today, except to take a walk down to the shops, so hopefully won't get wet. -
Iona - standard balcony cabin location advice please
purplesea replied to CruisingSarah's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Having been on Iona, I personally would steer well clear of deck 8. It is the prom deck people will be walking around past your cabin, even if it is at the front. -
Arvia dining, does it have enough places
purplesea replied to Windsurfboy's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Yes, if you are happy to share you still need to use the app. Although when we were on Ariva we had a lot of problems with it and often ended up walking to the MDR as walk ups and ended got given a pager. -
Glad to hear that your toe is better and you enjoyed your trip. Lovely photos too, and no you are not boring me!

Britannia cabins for 3 adults with sofa bed
purplesea replied to joodee's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
We had a cabin with a sofa bed which my adult daughter used and she didn't complain - and she would! The only problem is that when it is folded out it reaches the dressing table so you have to climb over it to get to the balcony. -
Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you are feeling better this morning and it does stop your enjoyment of your trip. Take care.

Does my husband need a separate P&O account?
purplesea replied to bronzevernis's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
I am sure you will enjoy your cruise to the Fjords. We are going on Britannia in September. It will the fourth time I've taken a cruise to the Fjords. Just be warned cruising is addictive. -

We were forecast rain this afternoon but we haven't had any but it's gone eerily quiet here, not even the sea gulls are screeching! Calm before the storm? -

Our cruise on Britannia is in September and there is nothing with regard to booking the retreat. -
We were only 2 and had problems getting booked on Arvia although we were prepared to share!

And from the Entertainments page, under Q&A's: Can I pre-book entertainment on board for all ships? You’ll be able to view the bookable events if sailing on Arvia, Britannia or Iona via My P&O Cruises before your holiday, or you can book once you’re on board via My Holiday for these ships. Some events can be booked by turning up on the day and this will be managed on board. Please refer to your daily Horizon paper when you get on board for the booking details of each event. -

I was also on the same cruise a Megabear and Kittyonions and after all the problems have opted for club dining on Britannia in September and also on Azura in January. It's been a while since I have been on Britannia, last time was in the Caribbean 2019, so can't comment on the food choices, etc. but have had several good cruises on her.
