  1. If you want to know if it’s a good deal I’d do a mock booking for a balcony and see how much it is.
  2. The Deluxe Queen rooms at Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf offer a full range of services to make your stay unforgettable. All of them have a queen-size bed (150x200 cm), satellite TV, a coffee machine, a mini-fridge and a safe. https://www.tripadvisor.com/FAQ_Answers-g60713-d81375-t8215415-Does_this_hotel_have_a_guest_laundry_Washing.html
  3. The hard copy is available at guest services and usually the coffee shop. I've seen it at the red frog rum bar on some ships. Or just inside the forward doors from lido deck on others. There is a digital copy that looks like the printed copy. You can get that by going to "access free sites", then "What's happening" on the ship's intranet.
  4. They don't deliver anymore. I know they had them at bar della rosa when I was there. That's where I got my coffee. I believe they also had them at guest services and java blue cafe.
  5. The ones they serve at brunch are better suited for skeet shooting.
  6. Alchemy bar. If you have cheers bring a shot of espresso from the coffee shop. Some alchemists will go get it. Some will want you to bring it.
  7. You'll have to tell me what's good there because I don't know what any of that stuff is other than the flatbread.
  8. You used to be able to eat there. At least on Vista you could. I assume Horizon was the same.
  9. I just found out and I’ve been on that ship twice and panorama twice.
  10. It could be. You typed 2018 so that’s what I was going off of.
  11. Yeah talking about the post that was posted in this thread. I read the requirement. Didn’t know it was different prior to this thread though. It’s good to know since I leave in three weeks.
  12. I can’t get past the testing part. It looks like this means the test that was good 3 days out on Glory has to be taken 2 days out on Splendor. if I have to test 2 days out I have to do it in Seattle so it’s a big deal. I also notice he’s using the terminology “72 hours before sailing” when he did that previously he clarified 3 days before the sailing date. 72 hours before sounds like if we leave at 4 I have to test after 4 three days prior.
  13. Oh gosh. Whataburger. Fast food and the big menu. Well. They cook as you order so it’s slower than most fast food places. But yeah so many great things there. Patty melt add grilled jalapeños is my favorite from the regular menu. All time favorites menu. Honey bbq chicken sandwich is great. I really miss the chop house cheddar burger. That used to be on it. Limited time items like the hatch green chile burger. For breakfast the honey butter chicken biscuit. I’m not talking about the thing Carnival calls a honey butter biscuit where it’s just a biscuit without honey butter. I’m talking a chicken biscuit dripping with honey butter. I heard they recently got rid of the jalapeño cheddar biscuits which is disappointing. Oh use your app and every 5th visit you get a reward. Hello! That’s a free honey butter chicken biscuit every 5th visit. Whataburger is one that I think is a better experience eating in. The fries are better fresh. They deliver the food to your table. Then they bring around the condiment tray where you can get all your ketchups and whatnot. The ketchup. All ketchup should be Whataburger spicy ketchup. Did I mention they’re open 24/7?
  14. I have experience with both of those. I like both of them. I think they’re very different though. In-n-out burger. Fast food. Limited Menu. Burger. Shake. Fries. But what they do they do well. Love the double double. A double double meal is around $8.50 after tax (in Texas at least). That’s the same as a Big Mac meal but the quality is way above McDonald’s. They don’t sell franchises. They don’t freeze anything. Everything they cook is fresh. That’s why they aren’t east of Dallas. Anything else would be too far from their distribution centers. One time I stopped at a Dallas area location at lunch time. When I pulled up an employee was standing outside to greet me and tell me the quality wasn’t up to their standards that day so they were closed. No big deal it was just a few miles to the next closest location but you don’t see that often. And I’m glad they did that instead of serving sub-par food. And they could’ve just turned the lights off and put a “sorry we’re closed” sign on the door but they didn’t..which brings me to their customer service. Their customer service is top notch. Up there with Chick-Fil-A in my opinion. They’re so polite and cheerful you want to smack them at times. They do the little things. Like putting your ketchup in little bags and handing them to you instead of throwing ketchup packets in the bag on top of your fries. Shake Shack I think is in a different category. I think of it more as a burger restaurant than fast food. As far as I know they don’t have any restaurants with a drive- thru. I’ve only been to three of them. The Houston Galleria, Irving, and Plano…if you can find a parking spot. That one is the worst! There is one in New Orleans but I haven’t been there. I’m a Company Burger guy in New Orleans. I think of shake shake more like five guys. More expensive. Lots of options. I personally like the smoke shack burger with applewood bacon and cherry peppers. More places should put cherry peppers on their burgers and sandwiches. Shake shack and Jimmy John’s do. At Jimmy John’s I recommend the Italian night club with extra hot peppers. Not personally a which wich fan.
  15. They are extending the old prices for 24 hours due to the website issue.
  16. Probably a little different getting a card when it's your kid's room. I still don't think Carnival wants you booking in one room and staying in another. I haven't seen the white cards...other than with stewards. Every time they've made me an unlock card it's been a blue card.
  17. The key for the other room would just open the door. It wouldn't be tied to the S&S account. The one "swapping rooms" would have to maintain two cards. One for opening the room door and the other for ordering drinks and getting off and on the ship. The wife would have to get the key by saying she locked hers in the room. Some will just issue a new S&S card which makes the room swapping more difficult. But most will give a card that just opens the door to retrieve the card that was locked inside. All of this is against the rules and probably contributes to Carnival having to raise the price of the drink package as they are tomorrow.
  18. You should be fine. You know there are all those people who book the 10am flight though.
  19. I'll have a live thread on here. I'm flying to Seattle three weeks from Sunday.
  20. I was wondering about it as well since this is my first time to Alaska. But once I found out Tracy Arm and Victoria are basically sea days, it became a no brainer to buy the package.
