  1. Princess changed the default on Plus bookings with more than 2 people so that only the first 2 get Princess Plus automatically. If you want everyone in the cabin to have it then there is a code that needs added. It sounds like there may be a computer glitch and the code dropped off, or for some reason it isn’t showing on the Travel Summary. fortunately you have your original booking showing you all have it. Your CVP ( or the Princess Rep) can pull up the OnBoard Services for this booking and see if you all still have it and it somehow dropped from your travel summary but is still there ( hopefully) you can also go into Personalizer where you would add a drink package and scroll to bottom of the page and it will show who already has drink packages- that’s one way to check.
  2. So far internet has been fine for me. Sometimes the pages are a bit slow to load. I haven’t tried streaming anything so don’t know how that would be. Alaska cruise WiFi can be terrible. When we sailed the inside passage in May the internet was pretty much non-existent!
  3. Not a power strip per sey but we like this one for when we cruise: it has replaced our power strip. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XJQZ8LR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  4. When similar happened to me due to mechanical reasons I first contacted the airline and requested reimbursement for some of the hotel bill since they have a nightly per diem max they allow for hotels during such situations. The hotel completely gouged me for $450 for a basic no frills room- surge pricing I am sure once they saw many flights cancelled. The airline reimbursed a portion of the hotel ($200) and they gave me a goodwill flight voucher. I then filed a claim with AON with the details of the cancelled flight (screenshots from phone), copy of the hotel bill, and copy of the $200 check received from airline and I asked if AON would consider paying any portion of the remaining $250 of the hotel bill. The claim took a couple of months to work its way through the process but they accepted it and sent me a check for $250.
  5. @CrasheYes it’s worth talking to your dr about since you have to have a prescription. This unit has the same min and max pressure range as my full size Resemed Airsense 11 and came programmed to my Rx. You can get an adapter to plug it into a cigarette lighter in car or RV and as mentioned it works on portable battery. I bought the battery designed for the unit but there are other ones that work as well. I love how it fits perfectly on the Princess nightstands!
  6. There are some pictures, but I couldn’t figure out some of the things like which way made the water hotter vs colder etc. Here is a picture before translation.
  7. No you can’t do this. Princess has three fare types: Standard ( no perks), Plus, Premier. You can’t use OBC to pay for your fare, as your full fare has to be paid before you sail. If you want Plus, you can upgrade before sailing and charge to your credit card. If you have a lot of OBC to use, you can purchase drink packages, buy internet or pay daily gratuities out of your OBC once on the ship.
  8. I would sail on Diamond again in a heartbeat. The full promenade with the padded teak lounge chairs, large wheelhouse bar, covered pool, large balconies ( compared to Royal Class) all are selling points for me. Any ship can have an outbreak of Noro or Covid. Something that happened years ago with a completely different crew and different understanding of the Covid virus would not impact my decision to sail Diamond but everyone has to do what is best for them.
  9. Our itinerary wasn’t impacted by the short stop in Cabo. Here a screenshot of current itinerary.
  10. @Crashe here is a picture of mine inside the Powershell ( rechargeable battery pack). The unit itself without the battery is about the size of my hand.
  11. If you have a WiFi package she can use your logo in information in the Internet cafe ( or if she has one she uses that log in for the Internet cafe computers). Emails for work shouldn’t be a problem ( may be slow at times) but uploading or downloading large attachments can be problematic and things like Zoom calls on sea days would be iffy. iMessage and WhatsApp generally work well for messaging if she needs to be able to use chat feature for work.
  12. I wonder if the airline would have give any compensation or give you a goodwill flight credit? Might be worth asking.
  13. Here is are pictures of the translated controls just in case anyone has an interest: to get the whole thing translated I had to do it in two scans so there is a little duplication ( sorry).
  14. I am on Diamond now and we are enjoying the ship which is currently about 50% occupancy with about 1200 guests. I know this isn’t good for the Princess bottom line but it’s great as a passenger. No lines, you can easily get a deck chair by the pool anytime ( no chair hogs in sight), very fast bar service. One of the entertainers said he hoped we were all enjoying our private yacht experience lol. We are! So far everything has been going well for us and we are really enjoying our mini suite stateroom, the ship, and the great (some very new) crew. The stateroom bidet looked a bit intimidating but after I scanned the control panel ( which is in Japanese) into Google Translate it was easy to operate and I can see why people like having one in their homes. There have been reports of toilet issues on the aft section of the ship. The captain made an announcement yesterday reminding people not to flush things like wipes- only toilet paper and we all got a reminder in our stateroom last night. One couple we know has been dealing with a thermostat stuck on the highest AC level - hopefully they got that fixed yesterday. I also ran into a lady who was in the aft section that had no hot water in her shower- she was using the Spa to take a shower while she waited for maintenance to fix it. We have had no issues with our toilet or anything else in our mid aft section of the ship. I toured into IZUME on the first day and it looked wonderful but the person who gave the tour said they wouldn’t sell a single day pass or a 5 day pass. Only a full 20 day cruise pass of $599 per person. That was more than I wanted to spend to try it. I will likely check back in a couple of days to see if they have any day passes to sell now that everyone has had the chance to buy the full cruise pass. The onboard entertainment has been good, I feel bad for them when some are playing to a room full 6-8 people but they are still giving it their all and we clap twice as hard to show we appreciate them. We went to the Wheelhouse and listened to a mariachi band and then to Skywalkers for the DJ - there where about 20 people there- it was very fun, We have been eating in the International dining room at 8:00 pm and the food has been very good. Dining room is not crowded at all when we dine. Pre-cruise we ordered flowers through the TA booking software and they were delivered the first day as requested. Beautiful dozen rose bouquet with some baby’s breath and greenery $59. I think it was worth the money. Sadly our ship is headed to Cabo San Lucas this morning to disembark a person with a medical emergency. It’s always sad to hear that someone is so sick that they must be taken to the hospital. I am hoping others onboard will contribute to this thread. If you have any questions let me know and I will see if I can answer,
  15. Yes, you can do this at the port, it just adds some time to your check in. No problem at all.
  16. We have eaten there several times and enjoyed it!
  17. showing on MUTS on Diamond Princess
  18. If you book a cabin with the casino discount - yes. Casino comped cruises - no
  19. Mine was accepted about 3 1/2 weeks before our cruise.
  20. As others have stated, call Princess or your TA and add him ASAP. You can remove him later if he decides not to go.
  21. I use a travel CPAP (Breas Z2) that can run on a rechargeable battery and I use an HME filter for the humidity. It uses the same hoses and masks my home unit uses. No extension cords or distilled water needed and it fits perfectly on the nightstand. It’s perfect for cruising!
  22. When we arrived in D527 today there was forgotten clothing on the shelves beneath the safe. The items were turned in to our steward. Posting on the off chance that the owner might see this and be able to contact Princess to claim their forgotten items.
  23. @wrongwaywatson Here’s how you do it: Go to a slot machine and create an account - easy to do: touch medallion to medallion sensor on machine. You will be prompted to set up account and will Select preferred language, enter birthdate and four digit pin. Now you are ready to play. You will see an area where you can get credits by charging to your ship board account. Select that, enter amount, enter pin to confirm. The credits will then be loaded to machine. When you are ready to cash out, select that option and the credits will be loaded to your medallion. You will see the credit on the screen drop to zero and get a message saying credits have been successfully transferred back to your medallion. You then go to the cashier and ask to cash out.
  24. You will get them via email or regular US mail.
