  1. I subscribe to F1TV and stream it on my iPad - not the same as the big screen but it works in a pinch!
  2. No more boarding passes. If you don’t do any of the preparations prior to your cruise you can arrive at the cruise terminal with your passport, Covid vaccination card ( if applicable) and I would suggest printing out your Travel Summary as reference. If you aren’t vaccinated or if you are on one of the Enhanced Voyages you will need to bring proof of a negative Covid test as well. If you want to get ocean ready you can enter information into the Medallion Database and order your medallion on your computer or you can call Princess for assistance. Here is a link https://www.princess.com/plan/oceanready/
  3. We put them on before our flight just in case our bags don’t make it to our final destination. We also bring spares in case they get torn off during the flight. We get ours on Amazon. They are a little expensive but they have lasted through many cruises.
  4. Visit Guest Services once onboard to place the order. You can also order flowers for the cabin from there as well 😄. Or you can call your TA or Princess and they can still add the birthday package to your booking. Also if you go into the Medallion App and indicate it is her birthday and that will get periodic birthday wishes on the ships displays.
  5. Dinner reservations should show up when you go into Dine May Way and select the date you have reserved. excursions won’t show in the App, but you can see them on your Travel Summary which you can print on Princess.com ( visit Cruise Personalizer, select your booking and you will see Luggage Tags and Travel Summary link in upper right corner).
  6. Go into the cruise Personalizer, click on onboard services and it’s under food and beverage experience’s.
  7. Honestly it would have been more surprising if they had asked you. It’s standard practice for the upgrade to happen and the notification to come out after the fact.
  8. @mcrcruiser did they tell you what the $246 penalty was for? Did you ( or your TA) by chance pay for Princess Travel Insurance in advance instead of waiting until final payment? If you paid for the insurance early ( which some people elect to do) that could explain the charge. Either way your TA should be able to tell you what that penalty was for.
  9. The VP of Sales said in recent webinar that TA rate cruises and Casino rate cruises would not be excluded.
  10. @melk here is the link to Princess that discusses clothing in case it’s helpful: https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/what-to-pack-for-a-cruise/
  11. This notation is on a booking confirmation made for four passengers with Princess Plus in July: “effective May 25, 2022 for cruises sailing June 25, 2022 and later, this fare includes Princess Plus for pax 1 & 2 only.” Your sons booking confirmation might have a similar note on it unless they booked prior to May 25, 2022. To confirm whether all have Plus they could check their Travel Summary or ask Princess or TA to check special services to see if passenger 3 has amenities. As mentioned they could add Princess Plus for passenger 3, but for a 6 year old pay as you go seems like the least expensive option.
  12. you can rescind your bid, or change it, up until the time it is accepted.
  13. Yes, you can use a test that is supervised over the web, I have used Emed.com numerous times. Super fast and easy!
  14. We have eaten there twice and enjoyed it. Here are some pictures for you 😄
  15. I am not sure whether or not this will be helpful but you could try emailing askoceanmedallion@carnival.com they may be able to see activity/ orders related to your medallion for the cancelled cruise. If they respond that no orders were placed that could be helpful if you need to dispute your credit card charges or in dealing with Princess. When emailing it’s helpful to include the booking number, your name, DOB and the date of the voyage. You can also email customerrelations@princesscruises.com (they are pretty slow to respond to emails).
  16. We have used SpecialNeedsatsea and been satisfied.
  17. Princess has said that they could accept the bids right away or wait until closer to sailing. It will depend on various things including the strength of the bid, amount of bids, and the cabins they have available. it will be interesting to hear people real life experiences! Please let us know if your bid is accepted and how long it took to hear back.
  18. If your bid successful Princess will pick a cabin for you. This is just something to consider if location is important.
  19. Conditioning shampoo, body wash and lotion are provided. Bar soap or liquid soap by the sink is also provided ( Princess is moving away from bar soap so bring your own bar if you want to be sure to have one). I always pack my own shampoo and conditioner as I don’t care for the shampoo Princess provides ( it doesn’t work as a conditioner at all in my opinion).
  20. The program started 3 days ago, so not a lot of Princess experience with it yet. There is a lengthy thread about it titled How is the bidding system doing? Any comments? I don’t know how to insert the link to that topic but perhaps someone else can put it in a reply for you. Otherwise search the word bidding and you should find the topic. if you bid please report back and let us all know how it went!
  21. Your concern is valid since any changes to the booking can remove the casino protection (code) in the event you do get a winning bid after you make payment you or your TA can call the Casino desk or send them an email at casinoinquires@princesscruises.com to let them know you have bid on and completed the purchase of an upgrade and ask them to make sure the booking is protected from cancellation.
  22. Luggage tags tags and Travel Summary can still be printed in the Cruise Personalizer but the Boarding Passes have been replaced by Medallions.
  23. The answer is “ it depends”. If you have a cabin you love, in a location you want then “no upgrade” might be best. If you are open to being moved, but only to a higher cabin type ( inside to balcony for example) then “meta upgrade” would be best. If you don’t care where they move you, which often can be the same type of stateroom but in a different area, then “any upgrade” is the choice. With the new bidding process it’s likely that the number of complementary upgrades will be greatly reduced.
  24. Princess informed Travel Advisors that some FCC expiration dates are being extended. Here is the information:
  25. The emails I received yesterday from Princess come as a single email to the TA and the clients ( all on same email)- no forwarding needed.
