  1. "I'll take 4 of'em" "May you live to be a thousand years old, sir." Who will be first to name the movie? 😁
  2. Even worse, the 2 that actually are "PrivaSea" are not marked as "PrivaSea".🤪
  3. You're doing everything right especially knowing the correct numbers. I was pleasantly surprised when I called because the taxes/port fees dropped about $28pp x 4 so the final amount was lower than my calculation. I usually ask the rep to give me the amount before they send the email. Sometimes, the rep doesn't ask if I want the confirmation but I get a new one sent for every phone call. Just make sure that nothing other than the discount changes. Don't let them change your stateroom, your reservation number, your gender, ...(it's MSC).
  4. For the CAB-Cabin Fares line on your confirmation, is the dollar amount an even dollar amount or is it something and whatever cents? (You don't have to give specific dollar amounts) Recently, I had to call to get the 5%+5% added but it only took 5 minutes to get done and I had a new confirmation email. I also see VOYAGERS EXCLUSIVES for Pax Type but it doesn't show the percentages like it usually does. By calling, I ended up saving over $800 after the discount was added and the taxes and fees were lowered. I book directly but I can't tell if you are dealing with a travel agent or with MSC reps.
  5. I agree. I think that it comes down to how much the family member wants "Haven" vs. how much the family member wants privacy. One side will win since getting both is unlikely.
  6. The OP posted... ...which makes me believe that the OP currently only has 2 booked in a stateroom that holds 6. There could be other reasons besides space that the family member doesn't want to share a stateroom. Also, if the Haven is currently sold-out, there could be an issue with lifeboat capacity. If that is maxed-out, adding the family member won't happen even as guest #3.
  7. No. The system will eventually catch 1 person booked in 2 staterooms. Some people have done it in the past but things have gotten stricter. If the family member has someone that could share the club balcony, you could book that person in the club balcony and the family member in the Haven Suite. The family member could enjoy the Haven benefits then sleep in the other stateroom with that other person.
  8. For many men, it's a way to hide a receding hairline or bald spot. I still have a full head of hair and so does my dad. I can't even remember the last time that I wore a hat outdoors or indoors.
  9. Another vote for Getaway but I recommend (for a slight increase in price) an aft-facing balcony instead of the standard (tiny) side balcony. If you can get an angled balcony which is the same price as the standard balcony, that would also be better. Check prices on the Large Balcony category (B6) and the even larger balcony/view of the water Club Balcony (M6). They might be worth it.
  10. Yes, but you must be SURE that what "we" call pepperoni is what you get. You might get actual bell peppers, not meat circles. You can get what "we" call pepperoni, too. I don't recall but since it is freshly made, adjustments can be ordered. Either can be ordered. My kids have had both on 3 different MSC ships. I can't really answer. Yes, there is room service but experience choice will make a difference as to added cost (if any). Yes. Deciding which "experience" you will have makes a big difference. It's not just about stateroom type (interior, ocean view, balcony, etc.). Bella is basic, Yacht Club is highest. Usually, starboard side forward is best but the ship can dock facing either direction. 11. On some ships, NCL allows shorts in all MDRs. Check the dailies for ship specific requirements.
  12. Cagney's allows shorts....short pants, whatever they're called. 😁
  13. Some people might have missed the "long pants...short pants.... they're still pants and pants are required..." joke. 😉
  14. If you take a mirror image of this (19025)... ...you can see the extra space of 19028.
  15. It's near the spiral staircase within the complex. There is a gap. The RS balcony is actually 2 separate balconies with a total of 3 doors to access outside.
  16. Ask for as much as you want. Anything not finished will get ground up and given to the fish in the ocean.
  17. My most recent YC booking has guests 3 & 4 paying about $180 each plus $140 each for taxes/fees. In theory, guest #5 would get the taxes/fees refunded for a no-show.
  18. What if the fake guest #5 is a no-show? It would cost a few dollars more but not much would be lost.
  19. ^^ 13904 BA/GA For BA/GA as well as Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, deck 13 has the least deep aft-facing balcony. For BA/GA, the difference between the deepest (deck 9) and the least deep (deck 13) is more significant than the difference between the deepest (deck 9) and the least deep (deck 13) for Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore.
  20. I would try to book for 5 even if you have to make up a 5th person and cancel that 5th before final payment. Something like 18018/18019 would have a pullman bed from the ceiling.
  21. You can also look to the MSC Yacht Club for a "ship within a ship" experience that is most similar to NCL Haven.
  22. YC guests can make requests that aren't listed on the door knob menu. Our butlers have always told us to just write down what we want (within reason) and it will be delivered....and it was. See what I mean? 😁
