  1. Thank you, I will look in to this but I think I recall that when I booked, it said it was refundable up to the time of cancellation. Would there have been a flag or notation on the flight that would have said otherwise? Also, we've already selected our seats. Would this trigger payment?
  2. On January 12th, I booked air travel for our late May Alaska cruise via FBC. Final payment for the cruise is March but the cost of the airfare has already hit my credit card. I thought I had until final payment to pay for the flight portion of the trip...I booked using a TA...does that make a difference? Anything I should do at this point?
  3. Happy birthday! Can’t think of a better way to celebrate than on the beautiful Ascent. I am looking forward to reading about your impressions of the ship and your overall experience. Have a wonderful cruise!
  4. We like Celebrity too and gave MSC a try back in 2022. We sailed YC and really enjoyed the experience. The ship itself is a lot of fun, very blingy, lively...lots to do...and then at the end of the day, we escaped back to the quiet of the YC. We enjoy both lines for different reasons but I wouldn't book with MSC in any category except YC.
  5. Well said...I completely agree! PS...You've really seen tupperware...oh my 🤦‍♀️.
  6. Since OP was asking about to-go orders from the YC restaurant, I assumed they weren't interested in dining in the YC areas. Glad you all clarified. ☺️
  7. For a change up, You can order a pizza and have it delivered to your stateroom and then take it wherever you like. I wouldn't ask the YC restaurant to make a to-go order...they aren't really set up for that.
  8. I don’t think there’s a grab bar in the toilet room. This might help.
  9. Unlimited specialty dining. ps. I thought the Zenith tier already included the classic drinks package. No?
  10. @Beth and Bailey you are such a good sport. I'm sure you anticipated some of the reactions to this question but you have taken it all in stride! ☺️
  11. I want to say that PB was from 9 AM to 3PM. It definitely didn't go into the dinner hour. There were other events up there as well, like football on the big screen and a party one of the nights. Plenty of room to spread out.
  12. Yes, there is a court and it is used non-stop. There is an attendant organizing each match and also keeping up with the order of players. Another thing I really liked was the amount of seating in and around the area allowing spectators the opportunity to watch from various vantage points. We don't play PB but were truly amazed at the skill of those who did...looked like a lot of fun! Here’s a photo taken from above.
  13. There is no hair dryer outlet in the bathroom but there is one by the desk. There is a provided hair dryer in the drawer of the desk but it’s on a spring cord and you have to hold the button in when you use it. 😵‍💫. Finding the bathroom is problematic but doable. The room is pitch black at night. DH has a terrible habit of leaving piles of land mines (clothes) on the floor so I brought a mini flashlight to use as a guide. Also, I moved the little table in front of the mirror pictured above to the foot of the bed. We used it as a place to set luggage or whatnots when we were getting ready. The chair is in the footpath to the bathroom and I moved that too. You may need to do some rearranging to find your groove but I’m sure you’ll love YC!
  14. Well on the positive side, you will have great a/c in such small quarters. I'm only aware of the accessible YIN room being bigger than the others...otherwise, I thought they were all the same size.
  15. @kwokpot I was wondering if the roof top garden grill is covered on the Edge? I agree, the outdoor spaces in this area are superb.
  16. We usually arrive within 30 minutes of our scheduled time. We always expect to wait but have never had to. Haven’t seen a backed up line for Celebrity in years but most of our experience is with Florida departures. Last year we arrived for our San Pedro embarkation several hours late. We were quite literally the last ones on the ship. There was no line that day either 😳.
  17. I think you’ll really enjoy the break from RCL with E class. Still a lively atmosphere but not over the top like some RCL ships. RCL and Celebrity have reciprocity in their loyalty program. Your Emerald status will transfer over to whatever is most equivalent with Celebrity’s Captain’s Club levels. I believe there is an on line form but it’s been a while since I did this so that may have changed.
  18. Yes, they are more enclosed. This was appealing to me because I prefer the shade, which this balcony had in spades. The side walls are steel with no dividers between cabins.
  19. Yes, this was our experience on Ascent. Door must be locked. Unlike on S class (and maybe M class) there is no handle to swing up into the locked position from the outside, thus keeping the a/c running.
  20. I only saw the window washing equipment because I leaned over. I definitely couldn't see it by sitting down. It was a great room but we don't spend a lot of time on the balcony so it suited us fine.
  21. We were in 8111 on Ascent. Great view from the porthole balcony and very quiet location. Here’s a few pics from all directions standing at the rail.
  22. Bummer. Was enjoying the pics and tips. Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise!
