  1. I’m conflicted, just looked on the roll call for this cruise and it looks like the last few posts were positive. Hopefully our august cruise will be positive. The observation lounge is something I’m looking forward to, but we have thermal spa passes and that’s my sanctuary. this itinerary has a lot of port time, so who knows what the experience will be like.
  2. Our friends are on todays sailing on prima and heard about skipping the port. Our sailing is august 17, so I’m really hoping we get to this port stop.
  3. I turn down the drink package every single time. There's obviously water, the house coffee, and I believe a juice machine that is available. I usually drink water, Starbucks in the morning, and maybe a Diet Coke. Nothing that would make any beverage package worthwhile. I would give it a shot to get rid of it and they may give you OBC.
  4. After some researching, definitely see a one day itinerary to hit a good bit of sights from London eye Big Ben up to London bridge, so probably taking a train to Waterloo makes most sense.. or do the bus services stop at Waterloo from Southampton? Any hotel recommendations?
  5. Funny you mentioned this. We just booked our transportation for this today for our August Prima cruise. https://www.cruise-express.be/en/ about $26 USD roundtrip.
  6. Our flight is at 9am the next morning. We haven’t made any plans for the day in London yet. It looks like we should focus on finding a hotel near Waterloo. or…. Should we just overnight in Southampton and take a train from Southampton to Heathrow? I’ve never been to London, but is Southampton worth sightseeing?
  7. So far, I have done a seamless job planning our cruise and excursions, but this last bit is giving me a headache. We end our cruise this August in Southampton and will be spending the night near Paddington station, so we can hop on the train the next day to get to Heathrow. Is this a good plan and what would be the best mode of transportation to get from Southampton to Paddington station? It seems like it's a taxi to the train station in Southampton..train to Waterloo, and then taxi to hotel? that's a lot.
  8. Good to know. This is one of the last pieces I need to book for our trip. May be best just to grab a taxi.
  9. We have no agenda either. The top of Mount Askla is a must. This port stop is too beautiful to not just explore on our own. We see in port for a good amount of hours and a Hop on Hop off may be the way to go.
  10. All the reviews feel so similar to when Celebrity Edge came out. Polarizing.
  11. I'm 82 days out and interested in this flight path. Our friend is taking the same cruise next month and is flying from Philadelphia to Minneapolis to Reykjavik. Praying that won't be our route, but we are arriving two days before the cruise leaves in anticipation of this.
  12. It sucks, but there are plenty of options to choose from. Life is too short to get so upset over a dining reservation.
  13. This is very helpful. Thank you for this. Looking to do this along with a bike trip to Damme, unless it is too hot in august, then just explore Bruges.
  14. Seriously, I stopped reading after the lost perks after settling for the fare dropped.
  15. We are 110 days out and just got the offer for our Prima trip. Currently booked at a spa balcony room and I don't want to lose the thermal spa pass. Is there really options for an upgrade?
  16. I have one or two excursions booked through them and found their cancellation policy to be pretty reasonable. Of course, I only booked it knowing 100% I will be going on the excursion.
  17. Definitely weigh out the cost differences. We booked our cruise this summer on the Prima when it was more advantageous for us to book a spa balcony room. If you book a regular balcony room, you will have the option to purchase a spa pass before your cruise, which is what we have done.
  18. On our last cruise to Alaska, we went the first night just to see. We only ended up going that first night, but most of us kept in contact throughout the cruise and did our stop to Victoria together at the end of the cruise. Most I am still friends with through social media.
  19. I think we may be on the same itinerary (Prima). This excursion was almost a must do, but seeing how beautiful Alesund looks and several all day excursions booked, we opted not to do this. I hope we aren't making a mistake by missing this. It does look gorgeous.
  20. I really wish they would get rid of Donna Summer musical and add it to the Prima.
  21. Good question... we are doing the Reykjavik to London in August with 2 days extended at each end. I will definitely be taking advantage of the fill a bag deal.
  22. We are on that sailing you are looking at on the Prima. The ship looks awesome, the ports check a ton of boxes, so I'm not concerned about the mixed reviews. Listen to your gut and have a wonderful time and just be happy with the choice you make. These two destinations are a rare opportunity to visit.
  23. Good grief that is expensive! We have an 11 day cruise in August. Some sailings I've been on they have offered the fill the bag option for a lowered price. I will be entering gold status on this upcoming cruise and will take advantage of the 50% off a bag.
  24. I can't wait to visit. I was able to sell it to my partner with the visit to the Mytvan baths at the end. For the four whole days we have in Iceland, I feel like we are getting quite a bit accomplished.
