Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. I disagree on the quote for the most part except my first true love didn't love me as much as I loved her, oh well. Since I'm a chocoholic, today is my kind of day. Cobb salad is my favorite salad after a Greek salad. Not sure what Global Forgiveness is about. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 106 replies

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Good quote. Good meal. Kissing day has to be good too. We don't eat fried chicken, it's been years since we had some, maybe at a KFC on a long road trip to California which was in 2006. Off to the golf course. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 104 replies

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Sort of a funny quote. Good mixture of days, I wasn't a workaholic but have always had a very good work ethic. Prayers for the victims of Highland Park, growing up and living in Chicago for 48 years I drove through and visited Highland Park quite a few times, DW is from the nearby suburb of Northbrook and she went to the movies many times in her school years in Highland Park. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 68 replies

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Happy Independence Day, have a great 4th, I will start the day off on the Golf Course. Early dinner with friends and then Fireworks this evening. Great quote. I've never seen anyone frying an egg on a sidewalk but here in Florida in the summer frying one on the hood of a car might work. The meal is appealing. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 81 replies

We were on the Rotterdam in March and the food in the buffet was excellent, we ate all our breakfast and lunch meals in the Lido but our dinners were in the MDR and the food was very good there also. I didn't like that there was a charge for shrimp cocktail and lobster was not served on the Gala nights. We also sailed on Princess and Celebrity recently and lobster was on the menu on Chic night and on Princess also, shrimp cocktail was available at no charge every night on both lines.

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Just back from a bike ride and it feels a little more humid today than normal if that's possible for Florida. I like the quote. As a kid I could be pretty disobedient. I haven't complimented my mirror lately. I love fried rice, I can't ever remember having a Chinese meal without it. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 72 replies

I believe the 8 days was to Portsmouth UK. It's amazing that the great ocean liners back in the day would make the crossing in 4 or 5 days, the original Queen Mary held the record for years at 4 days which was broken by the United States which made the crossing in 3 days and 10 hours but it was from the Ambrose lightship to Cornwell in the UK, she averaged over 35 knots per hour.

I'm curious, why so many days to cross the Atlantic?

That was pretty cool. I also visited Devil's Tower in Wyoming when I was stationed with the Air Force in South Dakota in 1966 and of course a visit to Mount Rushmore and the Badlands not to mention Wall Drug Store.- 102 replies

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. I'm not sure about the quote, I'm sure happy when they numb things up for dental work. Special recreation for the disabled day is a good day to have. I've never seen a UFO or had a close encounter of the third kind though I love the movie. Pass on the food and drink. We had a great time on the Equinox last month so we booked the same cruise for August 7th, 5 weeks to go. Thanks for the Daily, stay well and have a great day.- 102 replies

Somehow he did get out of his cage and wound up in his outdoor area never escaping from the Zoo. BTW After he died, Taxidermists at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago preserved his body and he has been on display there for 70 years.- 101 replies

Are you old enough to remember the world famous great ape Bushman who was the star attraction for many years at Lincoln Park Zoo, we lived only a mile from Lincoln Park in the early 50's and I was fortunate to see Bushman a couple of times in my early youth. He was quite the showman and millions from all over the world came to see him and he knew it, sometimes he decided to be stubborn as he turned his back on the crowds there to see him. To this day he is still considered the finest specimen of a great ape ever held in captivity.- 101 replies

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends. We've been on 22 Princess cruises with 10 on the Caribbean Princess. No complaints at all, the engine problem was fixed in 2019 and they laid new carpeting in many areas of the ship. The Atrium area along with the International Cafe and all the shops plus Crooners lounge is a great area on decks 5,6 and 7. Something always going on in Explorers lounge from Trivia to comedians to movies. The Wheelhouse lounge is a nice quiet place to have a libation with some nice live music in the evening. I'm sure you will have a very nice cruise on her.

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Funny quote. Since Covid started, handshakes are becoming rare, on the golf course after a round we do fist pumps instead of the traditional handshake. Haven't seen many meteors lately but it's always fun to see rocket launches from Cape Kennedy, it was really neat during the Space Shuttle era, a shame that program came to an end. Well I agree on that but we just had a standard verandah cabin so we were happy with the food in the MDR.

I agree on the MDR, we were on the Equinox for the 6.12.22 sailing and every meal in the MDR was excellent as was all our breakfasts and lunches in the Oceanview buffet.
