    I agree. If musicians and lifeguards and others are now paid from the tipping pool, that represents a HUGE pay cut for stateroom attendants and wait staff. I would hope that isn't the case.

    Not everyone that does a live review gets the banner. Not sure how they decide who gets it and who doesn't.

    Agreed. It is surprisingly unintuitive and difficult to navigate, and that's when it's actually working. Even Cruise Critic agrees that Carnival's site is superior: https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=4139

    RC's shoreside service and technology leave a lot to be desired. It will be interesting to hear how they like the cruise itself.

    I don't know if it's true or not, but some on here have indicated that if the auto tips are cancelled, any cash tips then go into the tipping pool, to be split among others.

    For everyone suggesting that the offenders be put off the ship at the next port, is this even feasible? Would the cruise line have to notify the host country of their intent to disembark these unruly passengers (some of whom might be in conflict with others also being disembarked)? Does the host country have to accept these passengers? Would they even want to? I'm not questioning the effectiveness of doing this, but I wonder how realistic this solution really is.

    Depends on which ship, where it is located, and the weather. And probably other things.
