  1. I think Sorrento's on Anthem is their best one. Not sure what they do different but seems better than other ships I have sailed on.
  2. We have asked for the paper compass on every cruise we took last year and had no problems in receiving them every evening. Hopefully we can continue to ask and receive. I use the app for somethings but prefer the print out so much better. I like to highlight the things I want to do or check out.
  3. Remember you can use for lunch too. Or grab some snacks at Playmakers or get appetizers at Hooked before going to dinner at one of the other venues.
  4. Oh, I thought the order history gave the breakdown when hit details on the item ordered. Like you said I always note what I paid to keep track and compare.
  5. If you go to order history you should be able to see the details of the purchase.
  6. I had heard that some people had luck with that last year. Haven't heard if that is still an option. Never hurts to try.
  7. Everything always costs more on brand new ships. How many restaurants do they have you want to go for Lunch and Dinner? Only you can determine if it is worth it. The average price for a 7 day cruise seems to vary from $225 to $260 (based on what I see on my future cruises). So $291 isn't bad. Book it now then if you see a sale, cancel and rebook at the sale price.
  8. Thank you for asking Maryann. I checked in with both of them this afternoon. Donna is the usual covid of nowadays - exhausted, minor cough and sore throat, had a minor fever of 99.9 but broke that this morning. Chris feels wiped out and congested (no fever) but he is still testing negative. They have both been curled up with their cat watching TV between naps. Of course, Mom told them both to drink plenty of fluids, have chicken noodle soup and call (or text) me in the morning. Nice to hear how they both take care of each other. She's definitely a keeper - LOL!
  9. If you really want it, I suggest you buy now. Check in on your roll call and see if anyone mentions a sale. Sometimes they have sales around Easter/ If only one person wants the DBP the 2nd guest must purchase a refreshment pkg and that can only be done by calling them. If you will have more than 6 cocktails per day then it would be worth it. If you enjoy getting fresh squeezed orange juice, specialty coffees, water bottles, as well as beer and cocktails then you will want the DBP. You can view bar menu /prices on the app for your sailing to get an idea of what you may spend per drink.
  10. There have not been any outbreaks on any recent sailings, that I am aware of. Sure, every cruise has people that test positive. Just a fact of life as we know it now. If anyone in your party feels unwell and goes to medical they will give them a covid test. If positive that person will then quarantine. Last 2 years they had specific cabins that were for quarantine. I am not sure how they are handling that nowadays. They no longer make announcements with the number cases of covid onboard. I imagine they would have to do this if there was an outbreak on a longer sailing. But so glad we don't have to hear those announcements anymore. Masks are optional for crew and passengers - probably less than 1% wear a mask. If a crew member is new they are required to wear a mask for a min. 5 days after traveling to the ship. Other than seeing a few people with masks on it will look and feel just like a cruise pre-covid. Enjoy!!
  11. I think you are missing my point Casino's are not located anywhere near the pools. Most ships have casino's on deck 3 or 4 and pools are located on decks 11 and up. Now the poster may be trying to say that smoking areas located on either port or starboard signs on upper outside pool decks drift towards the other side of the pool.
  12. How does smoke from casino on deck 3 or 4 drift out to the pool?🤣
  13. When they are refueling they will move smoking to this area.
  14. @vadersprincess12. Thank you for your review. We will be on Anthem end of March and hope to see some of our favorite workers. In regards to casino, you earn credits/discounts based on your total points earned. The casino issues these certificates after you reach xxx amount so this probably why you received on your last day. That is the usual. You can go to clubroyaleoffers.com and input your name and crown and Anchor number to view your offers. I check every week since we are prime casino members and receive free cruise offers every week.
  15. Thank you. We sail on March 26th. Everyone should be better by then. I hope your DIL has a mild case and quick recovery.
  16. Add my new DIL, Donna, to the list of covid patients. Chris called us in the last hour that Donna was out sick today and her work wanted her to test - Yup she is positive. Chris said he is not feeling so great but negative so far. This is her first round with it. Chris said she has been wiped out all day and feels like crap. If he is positive, it would be his 2nd time.
  17. For us, evening works best. We shower before dinner and hubby tends to sleep in on cruises.
  18. One person can buy Deluxe pkg and another can buy refreshment pkg. But have to call to book this way. $102 is really high. That would make break even over 7 drink per day for $14 cocktails.
