  1. Omelet station solves that problem. My picky wife gets a "plain omelet" in lieu of the scrambled eggs. I'll eat almost anything but even I'm not a fan of buffet scrambled eggs either.
  2. I won't judge since I've never been to Fogo, but the nice one we used to eat at was Texas De Brazil. Tried a cheaper one close by... it was ummmm... not good.
  3. Favorites: Mongolian from the cook-to-order station (and everything from that station), Indian food, paella that always seems to be there for day 1 lunch, crepe station for dessert Obviously not every WJ has the same cook-to-order stuff but when I find it... šŸ˜‹ Least: Salad... which is perfectly fine, wife eats them a lot, I'm just not there for salad šŸ¤£
  4. They're called Churrascarias. I think the direct Portuguese to English translation is... "So much yummy steak!" We have a Fogo here but used to frequent a different chain. One of my favorite restaurants ever. Never tried Samba though.
  5. Yikes! Maybe this is one reason why the balcony doors on Harmony unlock from both the inside and outside? I doubt it was so my young nieces in the connecting balcony next door could let themselves into our cabin as they constantly did last week.
  6. They sure loved mentioning pickleball during the announcements, didn't they? Guess that's why.
  7. I was on the week after you... connecting from the terminal was pretty crappy but we did get it to work as well.
  8. Great, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! My wife is very picky and I like to eat, so we often do WJ for dinner when not traveling with family and the cook to order station makes a big difference. Not only is the food freshly cooked but she can choose her ingredients.
  9. If her boyfriend has an iPhone, iMessage works over the internet, not cellular like SMS texting, so they can text. FaceTime also works over wifi... if you don't mind your daughter video chatting with her boyfriend. šŸ™ˆ
  10. I had Sabor last week on Harmony for the 1st time. Hadn't heard many great reviews but we LOVED the apps and desserts (and guac ofc). My entree wasn't very good but didn't care b/c we just kept asking for more and more app refills. The jalapeno margarita was pretty good too. Wasn't actually expecting it to be that spicy.
  11. Not the OP but doing a B2B on Indy next month. First Freedom-class cruise in 7 years after nothing but Oasis-class (and one Radiance cruise in Alaska). Any thoughts on WJ? Is there an omelet station for breakfast? Cook-to-order station for lunch/dinner? Any other non-specialty food thoughts in general? We're not big fans of the MDR for dinner. How's the solarium? Thanks.
  12. Looking forward to your food reviews, John! This UDP food mission is right up my alley! I'm currently losing back the weight I gained on Harmony last week. Will be on Indy B2B next month. We don't do much specialty dining but are long time fans of Giovanni's table so will definitely eat there once and try Playmakers, even if it's just for the cookie and drinks.
  13. You werenā€™t driving. More room in the car & easier to transport. šŸ˜ Haven't been back up north in a very long time but a while back my wifeā€™s friend got married in ACā€¦ and we brought back 25 pretzels on the plane from some place on the boardwalk that sold 25 for $5 at the time. We have Wawa now but their plastic wrapped pretzels arenā€™t great. I miss getting them from ā€œthe guy on the cornerā€ as a kid.
  14. Yes. Some number of people got sick & tested positive on every sailing of every ship for quite a while. That isnā€™t meant to be a smart ass answer, just the reality of the current state of things.
  15. Thanks, sounded like an altered Long Island to me.
  16. Was on Harmony last week. There are TV's inside Sabor on the boardwalk that show some sports during the day. There are also 2 versions of ESPN on your stateroom TV. Beyond that, I wouldn't expect you to have much luck. Sorry.
  17. That's a fun 18-hour-ish drive to Orlando, longer to South Florida... but then you can bring me cheesesteaks and pretzels! šŸ˜‹
  18. Anyone try any drinks unique to the Playmakers bar menu that they enjoyed? (Not beer)
  19. Lol, I love having these conversations with British friends of mine. Is your apple juice clear or cloudy? We have cloudy cider & clear apple juice, both non-alcoholic. Clear apple juice is far more common here (like what you can get for breakfast on any American-based RC ship). Cider is more of a fall/winter holiday drinkā€¦ and sometimes served hot. Confused even more yet?
  20. Sounds right. It actually worked perfectly 45 days before my cruise last week. 45 days out from each leg of a B2B in July... I couldn't do anything on the app for several days... then it began working normally.
  21. IF the app is working properly (big IF), you can just pick your arrival time and do everything else later.
  22. You won't be the only one but you will see everything from smart casual (maybe less casual tbh) to true formal. I saw plenty of suits/sport jackets, not many tuxes. FWIW, I was on Harmony in the Caribbean last week for reference.
  23. On Harmony last week they had Strongbow and Angry Orchard. Not a cider drinker though so can't elaborate.
  24. Have you tried the website? I was just sharing my experience, it would be no surprise if there are ongoing issues.
