  1. I just priced out an Alaska 7 day cruise for GF on Royal and Princess w/Balcony Cabin drinks WiFi and tips included Price was 9,000 on Royal with 3,000 in "discounts" vs 3600 on Princess. For sure raising prices. Having sailed on both lines im not sure what kind of consistant experience is worth the 6 grand difference but i do know saving 6 grand will allow you to buy alot of extras.
  2. Anything on board lol. Sorry its Margharitas by the Pitcher.
  3. You just had to say that.......😬
  4. You can also view any photos you may have had taken on it. One extremely important note. ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE you have the app downloaded BEFORE you get on the ship. It can be a very expensive thing to do after the fact roaming charge wise.
  5. On EVERY cruise line meals are pre-plated even on a luxury ship with only 100 passengers meals are not prepared to order (maybe on a 50 person yacht sailing or the Windstar Cruise you mentioned). They are all mass cooked and prepared ahead of meal times loaded onto large carts and steamed to heat up when required. This is the way with all commercial dining kitchens. Not sure what you mean by variation other than wanting something thats not on the menu but i find that they will try to accomodate your request if you ask but if its mixing and matching selections they will just bring you both selections out and you can eat what you want off each plate on your own. Good that you at least tried the brand and didnt just take others words for yourself. Thank you for sharing your insights.
  6. This is probably a good assumption. Whenever i get these offers if its a balcony and i click on it and it only comes up with interior it means the balconies have sold out already.
  7. I got a notification from Delta when i was in Louisville last week to be there 3 hours prior to my flight to check in and so i did. Woulda been nice if they had sent the same notice to the check in agents.....they didnt arrive until an hour after me.
  8. because they are assigned cabins. You dont get to pick where just what type you want.
  9. What im wondering is HOW do you submit it?? is it a picture? since you dont get a form with a self test unless you have it proctored. Not that it matters to me as im vaxxed im just the curious type lol.
  10. Other than having a single QR code to scan vs multiple different printed forms to carry and show, (possibly misplace) yes very marginal value......But planning to use it for our Celebration Cruise in November so i guess I will see. So far has been fairly easy to use. It does need to catch up to the testing requirements though as that is the last step and isnt required anymore.
  11. Yes as long as the kid in the room with the person who is getting the cheers isnt an adult too.
  12. New Protocols for European Cruises on PRIDE and CELEBRATION are out. GUEST ADVISORY VACCINATION AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS UPDATE CARNIVAL PRIDE & CARNIVAL CELEBRATION EUROPEAN DEPARTURES - 2022 August 23, 2022 Dear Carnival Guest, We know you are looking forward to your European sailing and want to update you on vaccination and testing requirements specific to your cruise, as follows: As our protocols continue to evolve, boosters are encouraged but no longer required for guests who are eligible. All Cruises (excluding itineraries with Greece and Spain): All unvaccinated guests, age 5 and older, must provide the negative result of a lab-administered or supervised (by a medical professional), self-administered PCR or antigen COVID test taken up to 3 days before embarkation. Cruises Visiting Greece: All guests, 5 years and older, must present the negative results of a PCR test taken within 3 days before sailing or an antigen test within 2 days before sailing. Vaccinated guests who are eligible for a booster but not boosted are considered unvaccinated and will be subject to additional testing on board which will be provided on a complimentary basis. Due to destination requirements, a document of recovery will not be acceptable for cruises visiting Greece. If a self-test is not supervised by a medical professional, it is not acceptable for travel to Greece. Cruises Visiting Spain: All unvaccinated guests, 12 years and older, need to present the negative results of a PCR test taken within 3 days before sailing or an antigen test within 2 days of sailing. If a self-test is not supervised by a medical professional, it is not acceptable for travel to Spain. We are currently working on updating our Have Fun. Be Safe. COVID-19 protocols webpage but wanted to share this information with you as soon as possible. We look forward to welcoming you on board your Carnival cruise vacation shortly. Sincerely, Colleen Oliverio VP, Guest Services - Contact Centers

  16. It must still be a proctored test. Testing is now even less expensive not more expensive given the ability to use any free test and get it proctored by On Point for 15.00 dollars. Its also easier not harder as you can do it online from anywhere such as your hotel room.
  17. Didnt read that in the article is this in reference to some other thing you heard or saw?
  18. Looks like booster is still required for my Celebration TA in November according to the Website.
  19. I have also used the printed copy when asked for vaccination proof while going through US Customs at the Airport.
  20. I use the same as @d9704011 thats your proof of vaccination for travel. I have it saved on my phone to use for uploading to ArriveCan and Verifly and i print out a copy which ive shown to Carnival at check-in and they have accepted no issues.
