  1. Well we can certainly do that. Thanks for the heads-up.
  2. Good heavens, hope not to gain 10 pounds! But based on reviews here, I guess I can count on at least a few. Better do a lot of walking!
  3. Hi. We will be in 673 on Grandeur in December. Last I looked there wasn't any notes on that for Splendor. But would think that being near the Spa should imply a relatively quiet area.
  4. Thanks for your experience info. Reassuring as we too will probably be in the last group to reserve. I hope we don't get stuck with very late timeslots. We would have to stay with MDR. Can anyone say if we would be able to reserve while on board? Is there ever any open slots available during the cruise?
  5. I may just have to switch to a small backpack just in case. And, it has been proven also that broken potatoe chips and cookies have no calories. they escape via the breakage. And if cake is eaten while standing, the same applies...no calories. 😉
  6. Actual dimensions! Such detail, Great, thank you! RetroRod--Good to have confirmed. Thank you!
  7. Kwaj girl--Thank you. Wow, that's somewhat large for trying to fit into anything not a backpack. Good for hiking though. Have decision to make. and Red1head--I am looking forward to that! still not sure I can squeeze it all into a carryon though 😞
  8. I may start bringing my collapsible water "bottles". Awkward to drink from, but flatten out fairly well. Suitcase space is such a concern, but I will never be able to do it all in a carryon. But with RSSC onboard laundry machines...hmmm 🙂
  9. Hi. Do all levels of cabins get two of the metal refillable bottles? Even if fairly lightweight, are they very large--if the capacity is more than 16oz, can anyone say the actual capacity? Just concerned about having to bring a large travel purse on outings just to house the bottle. Hmmm
  10. Great idea, I will try that. Thanks.
  11. Hi. We just got off 12-nite Eclipse May 21st. I had pre-purchased a discounted bag online for $49. We got to the cabin and there was a sheet noting CC benefits for my Select CC level that included that bag for $20! I promptly cancelled my pre-purchased bag with guest services. The credit showed up a day or so later. All good. I had pre-purchased originally as a just in case the discount onboard wasn't great. I did not pursue a second bag under DH's number. Only had enough I was willing to chance with them to fill one bag anyhow. They shrank just one of my pairs of sneaker anklets. Has happened before. Maybe it's the anklet's fault 🙂
  12. Joanie, Thanks so much for your March 22 review comparing Regent and X experiences. I remember you from the X board. We have only done X so far but have also noticed some decline. Your review is very helpful. We are booked on our first Regent cruise this coming December. Starting to get excited! Ellen
  13. Many are really good. Fun trying them. Nice part is you didn't have to make them yourself. But one fun one on the Silhouette last summer were these small yellow cake cubes covered in chocolate and rolled in toasted cocoanut. OMG they were good. Only had them once. Will be on Eclipse soon and am gonna ask them if they make those.
  14. I posted this on the May 9 roll call. Just figured to update here too. I guess when I just checked out the website, it had just been updated. I see "no testing" in the faq area, the website "before you board" area in the manage reservation section, the app has no testing indicated in the Health subsection, and I've gotten emails saying no testing, as of yesterday's email. Do you suppose that is enough places for confirmation, oh sigh* But as someone mentioned above, we're probably going to test at the hotel on Sunday just in case to be prepared. Oh brother the anxiety that goes with cruising lately. 😞 Thanks so much to Ken the Cruiser for bringing this to guest services attention 🙂
  15. Thanks Upwarduk. I didn't want to run afoul of the Laundry Police for the heinous crime of mixing gender clothes in my allotted prepaid bag! I shall stuff that bag with both kinds!
  16. Hi all, So I found the Laundry Bag item in cruise planner. When I "reserve" the pkg, it has the same guest list to check off names like an excursion. So my DH and I are listed. Pkg is now $48.99 pp. So silly question: If I check off just my name for $49, am I allowed to put a man's clothing in the same bag? If I have to buy for both people, not gonna do it for $98! 😮
  17. We are new to Regent in December '23. The descriptions here are very helpful. Thank you. DH will be glad no jacket. Now I don't have to drag him out to get one. A relief. Just needs summer-weight slacks for Panama Canal. Our cruises have been mostly cool-weather locales. Thanks again.
  18. At first I thought the change back might be a bit annoying. But, after reading the notes above, I see the value in going through the motions. Some great tips shared above which I will try to incorporate when setting up our cabin. Thank you for your contributions on this topic.
  19. Dreamer321, Thanks for the update. Good to hear. Got to have that cappuccino and that canned water for shorex. We found the canned water (at least last summer) to be fine. Was not too bad drinking from the can. Some had noted was a sharp edge. Did not find it so. I've heard here that Cafe Al Bacio (sp?) coffees with alcohol are not included in base package. But Cappuccinos and espresso, etc. are. Someone feel free to dispute that if I'm wrong. 🙂
  20. Hi. Am I reading the description correctly for the Classic Beverage Pkg, that it no longer includes bottled water and specialty coffees, or juices? (and the alcohol list seems pared down too.) Jeepers. Last June those were still included. Those items are only mentioned for the Premium pkg. (we are booked as AI from last year, sailing a few times in 2023. And a $10 limit is a bit low, sure most of the options are more!)
  21. Interesting. Wonder if that onboard testing for "uptodate" passengers, per the below, actually no charge, and the $55 is generic to the required "fully vaccinated" status? so confusing. Plus, when I attempted to "register" to see what happens, the only sailing to choose in the drop-down list is May 30th. Go figure. From web site, stated above the quote above by Mark_T: Testing varies depending on vaccination status and itinerary. Unvaccinated and/or Fully Vaccinated** guests who are not Up to Date* will need to cover any required costs for embarkation, mid-cruise/port of call or debark/re-entry required testing. These tests cost $55 per test, per person
