  1. It seems that all who are somewhere else than US are getting higher prices - in this thread are mentioned now UK, New Zealand and Ireland and as well we in North who got 30% higher prices just overnight. I guess this might relate to the earlier announcement that X is following each customers countrywise terms. With that note I think they freed themselves also to offer same sales to all equally. Also a good note is that within EU is illegal to manipulate prices in a way we saw happening. If X is following the EU rules they have to advertise first the real prices ( if they exist 🙄 ) and then release the sales price but also tell the lowest price from the last 30 days.
  2. We had a similar cruise last summer with Reflection. A good note is that ships are typically docked bow against the current. Look at marinetraffic site when Beyond is there next time ( 10 th of June).
  3. We noticed the same last summer cruise in MED they serve only mid-priced and hardly any quality wines even in the premium package . We decided to go on with "non alc.package" and buy wines separately by full bottle on our next cruise.
  4. No Flash sale for us - just the opposite.I guess someone has to pay the reduced prices for the luckiest ones. Premium used to be 113 euro - now the price is 154 euro and Classic package used to be 92 eur now the price is 133 euro.
  5. All still pending. Bid prices went down 50% about 2 weeks ago. There are still S1 and AQ2 and C1 available.
  6. We used couple a years ago Locker Barcelona which is situated 1 block away in a smaller street from Placa de Catalunya. Quite few and tight lockers for big suitcases but plenty space for medium sized bags. Handy as it is close by the Airbus stop in Placa de Catalunya.
  7. Yes,this is the most adorable thing in MSC - personnel can cope with different languages. As they couldn't serve us in our own language we all six in the dinner table took different language menus and ordered our meal in German, Italian and Engish- and we get perfect service from one waiter from Philippines.Try that next time😆.
  8. Does anyone know on what time the dinner is? The dinner in Magic Carpet is marked 10:00 am in the first day in cruise planner. Honesty we are not even embarked on that time. Is that the only time or is there other times as well - or is this a "Celebrity web strikes again" - case?

  10. Mac16'' fit in safe in Reflection - just a bit tight and had to put it bit angled. I'm not sure if other ships safes are the same size.
  11. Our last summer cruise we were in Aqua class but we wanted to try the MDR. We just reserved a table using the app - the table was in MDR select area.
  12. We have eaten dinner in OVC maily because sometimes it is nice to dine outside. Also I remember our first cruise (2016) which stopped in Jamaica. The chef of OVC was a Jamaican and there were lot of Jamaican specialties served in OVC at the dinner. Last time in Med cruise (2022)- No local specialties even the Med is filled with genuine cuisines.
  13. With all respect to all water drinkers: The more environmental choice is available on the ship. Just bring nice bottle by your own. We filled our bottles several times from water stations in Spa cafe which was the closest place.
  14. We were there on the same cruise and Reflection was anchored in the front of the old harbour. Excursions started from the new harbour I guess because of the coaches. The excursion ended to Fira and included a cable car ticket. Just note that there is a long waiting time for the cable car. We walked down the stairs which I do not recommend if you do not have good shoes. Also donkey natural smell is sometimes overwhelming🙄
  15. We made our reservation in the beginning of May - and our cruise will be in the beginning of July. That time they had a offer of 25% off from pre/ post arrangements+ flights and Elevate for all. BTW: Couldn't get Celebrity flights as they were routed all with + 6 hours schedules with quite interesting options like via Istanbul🙄 and Beograd/ Serbia 🙄 and no non-stop options (from Helsinki to Rome is 3,5h flight).
  16. Hi! I can see that NCL Dawn is docked both in Hamina ( 8th July and 12th July) and Kotka Mussalo (25th July). Please note that in both cases ( Kotka or Hamina) the harbour area is completely blocked area from pedestrians and the nearest bus stop is almost 3 km away from the pier. I have seen that they have arranged a non-stop coach service between the harbour and city center during the cruise ships are visiting. But as a common interest I enclose links and basic info : In Kotka the public transport is by bus = line no 27 : https://www.kotkanaikataulut.fi/kotka/ or special summer time service line 002- Look at the pdf. file https://www.kotkanaikataulut.fi/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Keskusta_Santalahti_kesa2022_v1.pdf. The funny thing is that both are available at the moment only in Finnish language 😆. Not the easiest task to solve the content even with google translator. The harbour bus stop in the pdf file is marked with no 9.
  17. We succeeded to get a pre-cruise hotel package with transport from Rome Fiumicino (Hilton) to Civitaveccia and post- cruise transport back to airport. We used Agency but the billing and contract+ price came from Celebrity added to the cruise bill. So it is existing in some format at least. Note: The price for the hotel + transport as a Celebrity service seems to be double compared to self made reservations but in our case due to the late reservation and available discounts the price was comparable to self -made arrangements + easy option.
  18. Welcome to Kotka! Just to inform that the big ships are docked to the Mussalo Harbour abt. 7 km away from the city center. The transport is arranged by coach from the ship to the center- naturally depending of the cruise company. Only smaller ships like Saga Tours and Silversea & Regent Seven Seas are docked walking distance from the city center (named Kantasatama). In our small but well -kept town you can spend nice time just walking around our parks. Please look at the tubed https://youtu.be/aWTqCj09NZg. Don't hesitate to stop and ask people about directions when you're here. People are pretty talkative here in eastern areas of Finland.
  19. Hi! Purchasing tickets from https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html is easy and there are also option for reduced price tickets too, please look the Trenitalia pages. Frecciarossa is the fast train- takes abt. 1,5 hours from Rome to Florence with average price 40 eur/pp one direction - this train ends till main station S.M Novella = city center. The normal Intercity train takes 3+ hours and includes typically a change to local train if you need to go to the S.M. Novella station- the average price is abt. 25 eur/pp. Travelling in by train in Italy is really good option as trains tend to be in time and network and train schedules are well covered the whole country. I recommend. Please be careful of your belongings in stations as they are pickpockets heaven!
