Is Bennett Lake a must see or should we just turn around in Fraser?

Thank you so much!!! My husband wants to take the cheapest one but I want to see what's out there. This will probably be our only trip to Alaska and I want to make the most of it!!!

I am still confused as to the destinations of the train in Skagway. The ships excursions are shorter than what Chilkoot offers. Some need passports and others don't. I understand that is because of crossing into Canada. What exactly am I missing by doing a shorter ride from the cruise line? How far into Canada do you go and is it worth the addtional cost? Chilkoot is within 2 weeks of opening their 2024 schedule so I am trying to clarify which is better. No matter which one, I have decide that train/bus combo is what we will do. Thanks

How do I add a cruise that I have been on if I don't know the reservation number? I do have the cruise boarding cards.

I love sailing from San Juan. Spend extra couple of days on either end. And closer to the southern ports.

I am excited to have my first SV on Solstice for Alaska!!!! I was on Deck 8 but started looking at some pictures and changed to Deck 7. 7364 looked like it had a wider balcony than the others. Since it's Alaska, I will welcome any sunshine and wear a hat. I already had 1 bout with melanoma, don't need another!!!!

I can't find any availability for day rooms, June 30, 2024. How far in advance do they open up availability?

My 60th birthday cruise, I also went to the naughty room. For a bottle of vodka!!! In my defense, it was purchased in San Juan for my birthday and not opened. I sure as hell wasn't leaving it in SJU, so I tried to put it in my checked luggage. I did get it back at the end of the cruise...LOL!!!!

That's what I figured. Ya know, I never paid too much attention to the discounts offered. I cruise for the pure enjoyment of traveling and being on the ship. However, retirement has set in so I am beginning to look at different things. It's hard to breakdown each of the offers that are bundled into individual prices except for gratuities. Thinking that maybe by bundling, they have already included a discount. Can you cancel a bundle once you have already included it?

Question I have always wondered. Example, my status offers 10% off drink package if purchased pre cruise. How do they apply that if you paid for the bundle when booking your cruise? Thanks

Thanks. Probably not hotel pool. Stanley Park sounds nice. Taxi fare is reasonable and prevents standing in line to check in baggage. Thinking hubby would not like the walk with luggage. (But put him on a golf course, carrying a bag and he can be out there all day!!! LOL) I have a terrible time sleeping on a plane whenever. But I can be VERY cranky if I don't get some kind of down time. Hubby likes life to be seamless, which rarely happens. I have another question please. If we decide on the Fairmont YVR, what time should we check out to give time for security/customs before the flight. Would want to be at the gate at least 1 hour prior to flight time.

I just cancelled the Marriott Pinnacle and was able to confirm the Westin Bayshore. Did I do the right thing? Can I still walk to the cruise terminal? How much would a taxi be? I am thinking that if the taxi takes you right down to the luggage drop off area, it would be worth it. I am also considering the Fairmont YVR day room for the day of departure. Flight leaves at 10:25p. Thinking lunch, couple of cocktails and nap before a red eye. Is it worth the cost? Thanks

The original booking was with Delta as I used FF points. However, I had to go to WestJet website to assign seating on the WestJet portion. I paid a small fee to be seated in the first row on the plane with a bulkhead in front of me.

Thanks, I did see that. I imagine that is why Delta does not have any WestJet connections listed yet for June 30th. Does anyone know if they are a good, on time airline to fly. There plane configurations look at bit small as I don't see any first class. I have reserved them for June 22 to YVR and have paid a small fee to upgrade to the front of the plane. We are leaving from MYR (Myrtle Beach).

Thanks. I am seeing some Delta and American flights already offered for June 30, 2024. But I don't see any flights that code share with WestJet. (which would be with Delta). I would rather do a WestJet/ Delta combination with 1 stop than just DL or AA with 2 stops. So I was wondering why WestJet doesn't have their schedule available for June 30th yet.

How is WestJet to fly into Vancouver? Reliable? How far out do they post their schedules? If I confirm a reservation with them in CAD, does my credit card company charge me in USD? Thanks
