Live from the Vista - March 27 (Miami) to May 1 (Trieste)
Fuzzy55 replied to Hlitner's topic in Oceania Cruises
Just in the Vista in March. Yes there are some comfortable chairs and an ironing board in the room as your enter the laundry. Also a tv. You have to go thru this room to get to the washer and dryers. Washers and dryers have true to time timers on them so you know when to come back. Very nice machines and not very noisy. -
We are currently on Vista 10087. No problem with noise and we are right around the corner from elevators and stairs.
-
Our rate was the same as PH3. No cabins for PH3 at the time of booking so had to take it guarantee. Guarantee is right before it goes to wait list.
-
We are currently in PH3 10087 on Vista. Love the location. Close to aft elevators. Love the cabin. We had a guarantee and were assigned this cabin a month ago. Might be one to consider. Everything is a short walk on this ship.

Where to locate Terminal info for Miami departure tomorrow?
Fuzzy55 replied to chloemonkey's topic in Oceania Cruises
I just checked on the Port of Miami online service, daily schedule. You are embarking at J and coming back on the 16th to E. We leave on the Vista on the 16th. From what I have read, Oceania will meet you on the 16th with buses at E and bring you to J if you parked there. -
It is 21 days as just did online check-in. Oceania does send out email that day..email arrived before I got up.
-
We are also taking the Vista 3/16 and driving down. Is it common that the ship may embark at one terminal and disembark at another in Miami? Will transportation be provided between the terminals if there is a fair distance between them to get back to the parking garage by the original terminal?

For those who have switched from Celebrity to Oceania…
Fuzzy55 replied to lawk's topic in Oceania Cruises
Jim, have enjoyed following your travels on Celebrity for so many years. Thank you. We are taking our first O in March due to changes on Celebrity. Can not wait. -
We are booked on Vista 3/16. Booked gty PH 3 as only PH available at time we booked. Nothing that category and above have been available since we booked. Will be interesting to see what we finally get. Do they ever downgrade you and offer $$ if nothing available above? This is our first time on Oceania. Have been loyal to Celebrity for over 20 years. Time for a change

Thank you all. We were assigned our SS a few days ago with all the benefits.

We are booked on the Eclipse for February 3, 2024 with a Suite Guarantee. We will still have access to Luminae, correct? I just looked at the amenities under Suite Guarantee and it shows preferred seating in MDR and speciality restaurants. It does not say anything about Luminae like the other suite catagories.

I got off the Beyond March 12th. I was able to get my OBC in cash in the casino. The cashier will give you a card with info on how to set up a casino account on the first machine you use. You have to bet (not lose) at least 10% of what you transfer to the casino account. Then you cash out and take the slip to the cashier to get your cash. All on the up and up.I got over $600 that way.
-
We are currently on the Beyond. Ate at Eden last night. The menu shows tasting menu on the right side. Way too much food for me. Love Eden’s food and being able to watch it be prepared.

Converting OBC to cash legitimately on the Beyond
Fuzzy55 replied to Fuzzy55's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I have been cashing out $100 each day, but could do more. Have looked for you in Retreat and Luminae. We will probably just head over ourselves. May see you there. -
Currently on the Beyond. They make it very easy to turn OBC into cash in the casino. They give you a card with info to set up your casino account. Each time you play a machine, you access that account and then can transfer from OBC to the account. You set the amount. You then have to bet (not lose) at least 10% of the amount you deposited. You can then cash out of the machine and take your voucher to the casino cashier. All legit.

We are on the March 5th Beyond cruise. We got the email that the docs were ready exactly 30 days (February 3rd) before we depart. The docs were attached to the email as well. Luggage tags are at the end of the doc.

Beyond will be leaving out of pier 25. There is a parking garage across the street from that pier. Very convenient. You can drop your luggage off at the pier and then park.

How to find out what terminal ship leaves from?
Fuzzy55 replied to momofmab's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The Beyond leaves from terminal 25. That terminal was built for the Edge class ships. There is a parking garage a block from the terminal. You can drop your bags off at the pier and then park. -
You dock right in town. Everything is within easy walking distance.

Have several friends on the Constellation that left Tampa yesterday for a five night cruise returning Friday. Should be interesting to see what happens. We live an hour south of Tampa.

Celebrity Ascent — Great Suite Pricing for 1/21/24

Thank you so much. We just booked SS. Our 50th anniversary is 2/16 so we will just celebrate early. -
We live in Lakewood Ranch FL which is Sarasota/Bradenton area. We had no damage to our home and lost a few shrubs. Sarasota is open as well as Longboat Key plus parts north including Tampa. Just do not plan to venture to Venice or places south of there. Right now I75 is closed between mile post 191 and 178. Both Venice exits due to flooding.

As of April 23, 2023, it appears Celebrity is eliminating S2 category on Edge class. The new plan shows current S2 becoming S1 and S3 changing to Magic Carpet suites.
