  1. Just got off the Bliss on Saturday. We had suite 11106. We are 78 and 75 and we did not think the walk was that bad. The room was a nice size and we only spent maybe an hour on the balcony which is small but the views from the bedroom and balcony are great. The only thing that we did not care for was the Haven bar is on deck 17 and the restaurant is on deck 18. Not like the Break-A-Way which has the bar and restaurant on the same deck. Haven bar and restaurant were never crowded. We had a great time.

  3. Where do I look for this insurance on the NCL website?
  4. Sailing Sunday on the Bliss. Just received the upgrade from a Club Balcony Suite w/lg balcony to the Haven Forward Facing Penthouse. Minimum was $650 x2 Maximum was $2400 x2 when I called our PCC four weeks ago he told us we could upgrade for $4443. Decided to take a chance and bid on 8 Haven suites. They accepted our bid of $1240 x 2. Not the greatest but not bad.
  5. I know that you did not have to book reservations for the main theater but is it easy to do once you are on board. Do you know where we can go to book them? We will be on the Bliss this coming Sunday. Are the shows crowded? Thank you in advance
  6. There are people who use social media to act like they are Gods gift to the world. If he does not let you know who he is then ignore him because it just proves that you are a better person then he is. It takes all kinds to make the world go round. If it was not for you my wife never would have talked me into bidding on the Haven which we won a year ago. She reads these boards also.
  7. If they have an excursion into El Raval look into that. We spent two days there before our cruise and it is 10 minutes from the port. The Tapas are amazing and it is not a tourist trap like downtown Barcelona. Enjoy. It is beautiful there in Spain.
  8. That worked I was one third through my check in and the app went to- our system is undergoing maintenance, service unavailable until 4am eastern time. Thank you for your patience. Typical for NCL
  9. The NCL app shows 21 days to go. Trying to check in and it keeps telling me online check in can be completed starting at 21 days. Computer,tablet, and I phone all the same. Tried chat with an agent and I get no agents available try again later. I am on the west coast .Do I have to wait until midnight? Everything I have read on cruise critic states to do it at 12:01 eastern time , 9:01 Pacific. Thank you
  10. We will be on the five day sailing November 27. Do they take reservations on board for the Jersey Boys or do we just wait in line to get admitted? Thank you
  11. Stayed at the Homewood Suites one time and the Troubadour by Hilton another time. Both are just outside the French quarter. Homewood is a little farther out but both are within 10-15 minutes by Uber. Uber is cheaper than a cab. Going home we took the NCL transfer to the airport. We used a private transport to get from the airport to the hotel. Burton New Orleans Shuttle. They were waiting for us at the airport. They are a 24 hour service. You would have to ask them about the car seats. Hope this helps

  13. Wife and I will be on the same cruise. We booked this because we have never been on the Bliss and it is not a long drive from where we live..
  14. My wife said you should blame me for the price increase for Baileys. Seven days on the Breakaway last November with an occupancy of 1400-1500 that is all I drank for seven days in the Haven Bar and O’Sheehans. After the first hour at each bar I was not getting one shot. The bartenders were filling the glass completely. This went on for seven days. Tip good and the Bartenders will take care of you. NCL probably feels that most of the people on that cruise drink Baileys so RAISE the price. SORRY.
  15. On The NCL website they are guaranteed cabins. They pick out the cabin for you. Call NCL and they let you pick out the cabin you want and it costs more than on the web site. More money in their pocket.
  16. We sailed on the BA last November. First time in the Haven. My wife ordered an omelette with salsa on the side. Our waiter told her that they did not have any but they would find some. She told the waiter not to worry about it and forget the salsa. The waiter insisted that she should get the salsa. Approximately 5 minutes after her omelette arrived the salsa arrived. All the waiter said to her was that they found it in another restaurant. That is what I call exceptional service. The next day we showed up approximately 10 minutes after the Haven had closed for breakfast. We were walking out when we were stopped. We were asked what we would like. No menu. We told them not to worry about it and that we would go to O’Sheehans to eat. We could not get out the door. A table was set up for us outside. Our order was taken and it arrived within fifteen minutes. Everything about the Haven and the restaurant was amazing.
  17. We were on the Breakaway which docked in New Orleans last December with what the news said was an outbreak of Covid. Seventeen total. There were around 1400 cruisers and more staff vs cruisers. Best cruise we ever had. It will never happen again but we enjoyed every minute. We even won an upgrade to the haven 2 bedroom family villa from the club balcony suite w/large balcony.
  18. Thank you Chief Mate You are most likely correct. The lady on the on line chat did not know why. My wife talked to our NCL cruise consultant and he said that this is how they do it now. Typical. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.
  19. Does the NCL web site no longer display the banner and leave a message in the mail in the top right hand corner? We booked a cruise five days ago and the next day an email was sent to my personnel email to upgrade. I did the upgrade bids through my email. Just curious as to when did they stop sending it to the NCL website. Thank you in advance
