  1. Classic Friday lunch for Catholic kids back when we didn't eat meat on Fridays.

    2025 cruises

I believe that language applies to "our lowest fares" and certain promotional fares only per language here https://www.cunard.com/en-us/advice-and-policies/standard-cancellation-refund-policy
  3. The OBC does not roll over and our experience with B2Bs is that the account is closed out at the end of each trip. You'll receive a new cruise card with a new account number.
  4. Just announced 1500 Eastern is best estimate of docking time.
  5. Oh, we fully understand he is busy! We figure that he wants to have all the relevant timings in hand before the announcement. Just antsy as I have to get a new time to my car service.
  6. Still waiting on the Captain's noon announcement, ship's time now 1219.
  7. Oh well, so sorry you can't sympathize that a change in schedule either way can be an inconvenience and that you begrudge Cunard's kind gesture to compensate. We don't have a pet and there is enough time to adjust our other plans but that doesn't mean it isn't disruptive. BTW, we are also going to lose a day on our WB so that evens out, just means a Saturday arrival which is a bit of a pain for onward travel. Glad Cunard understands that a change to a long-booked journey has unwelcome consequences.
  8. Just because EB passengers are given an extra day does not mean that they were not inconvenienced! Leaving on a Saturday instead of Sunday is a bit of a travel hassle for some of us and those with pets may have to incur extra costs to board them.
  9. We have running water on 9!
  10. We were supposed to be on QM2 on 30 April, which was, of course, canceled, leaving us to find a flight so as not to lose our entire trip. We needed to ship our luggage for the QV departing 25 May. Luggage Forward indeed would NOT take the bags until 12 May and our flight was on 2 May, and they would not budge. So we had it picked up from a friend's house and all was well.
  11. On QM2 our Q4 cabin 9051 had an access point within the cabin. Connectivity was flawless.

    Cunard Bear

On board V315 and look what we just found in the shop! No apparent name, wearing a Prince's Trust polo shirt .. the 2023 bear!
  15. We're having a great time apart from that one morning so no worries.
  16. One incident was before breakfast and one before lunch, neither gave the appearance of being under the influence. Just willing to acvost passersby!
  17. We were walking down our corridor towards the elevator in both cases. Each time it was an older British male (two different ones) who appeared to be hanging out in the doorway of their stateroom. In the first instance the man said something along the lines of "you know those don't protect you, right" and engaged my husband in discussion. I told him we were doing the best we could to stay well and he continued to be critical as we walked away. The second man later that day made some remark about not believing people were still wearing masks. I stormed off, saying we were trying to protect my vulnerable husband. Interestingly, the next day I saw the second man standing in his doorway engaged in discussion with a steward while blowing his nose in the hallway. We veered off to go another way. In both cases they instigated the discussion as we were trying to pass by in the hallway, we hadn't even had thechace to say good morning as we passed. Completely uncalled for. Happily no further incidents but of coursr the Norovirus letter arrived under the door yesterday afternoon and we are being even more careful. Still not impressed with the hygiene habits of our fellow passengers.
  18. We gave the tender a miss today as I was pretty appalled at the poor hand hygiene and coughing/sneezing on the shuttle into Kirkwall yesterday. Taking lots of precautions but still enjoying the trip, despite the fact that two people took it upon themselves a few days ago to harass us about our mask wearing!
  19. I believe you can pay for same day turnaround but yes, morning of day 5 should get it back to you the afternoon of day 6, ready to pack and put your luggage out that evening.
  20. I don't know about the casino, but you need to dress to the dress code in the theater. We never eat in the buffet in the evening so can't help you there. Chinos and a collared shirt will meet the guidelines on smart attire evenings but not on gala nights.
  21. Even in QG a dark suit is perfectly fine, on our last few trips I'd say about 20% were NOT in tuxedos.
  22. Ooh, thanks for that. I don't think my husband will go transatlantic in anything but the QM2 but I appreciate seeing the option. I might just get him on a first class flight and doing the research now. Many factors to consider including weeks of cars and hotel bookings in the UK but will have all the possibilities on hand. Thank you.
  23. Yeah, we had backups for everything except the failure of QM2. I don't think there is an alternative ship going from NY-Southampton. Oh for the days of multiple ocean liners!
  24. Oh dear. We've got a massive trip planned starting on the QM2 30 April in NY, with weeks in the UK, a trip on the QV, and then back on QM2. We can't fly over so the entire thing will have to be canceled if they cancel M311.
