  1. Great review, thanks! I’m doing the bliss 15 day pc Miami/la in Dec 23 (booked vibe/cabana) few questions: - one in my party has an aft balcony where we plan to watch entering the Agua Clara locks, then move to the front of the ship in the afternoon (obs lounge, garden cafe) for cocoli. Did you watch any of the crossing from vibe? Was thinking about going there when we cross under the Atlantic or centennial bridge. Have you any recommendations for the best time for vibe during the crossing? - did you overnight in Panama? If so, do they let you come/go as you please? I assume the casinos/shops are closed during the crossing and overnight? - >11 cruises w/NCL but 1st time cabana and vibe. Not really a lot of reviews that include cabana info, iyo is that juice worth the squeeze? thanks!
  2. Have a great cruise! If you want great service, stop by spice. The head bartender, David livingston, is fantastic!
  3. I’ve seen people do this at the box office once they board; 1 person making show rez for multiple people/cabins. Pretty sure you just need their names and cabin numbers.
  4. here’s a screenshot I grabbed on the BA last month; 113mbps down and 48ms latency It was pretty incredible (unlimited w/streaming worked flawlessly)
  5. Everybody uses the same dining room. j/k Should be fine except for maybe Tropicana/Manhattan which are a touch more formal.
  6. So is it just a shuttle between the world cruise/princess pier to pier 92? Like they’re just not allowing you to walk that short distance but bus instead?
  7. Is the bussing from one pier to another at San Pedro new? Cruised out of there a few times, last one was Dec 22, and never had to do that….even with Covid testing
  8. I thought it was about service / support rabbits
  9. The Beatles, for example, start at 730 in the cavern club. If you want a seat you will want to be there in line about an hour before….so 630. Other main shows start in the theater usually at 730 as well (for the 1st show). I’ve found that if I grab a 530 dinner at the mdr or buffet I can easily make those shows then catch a late night snack later. If I want to catch the early show in the theatre and eat at a specialty restaurant there’s usually plenty of time…especially if you let your waiter know….by getting a 530 or 6 reservation.
  10. Have read in the past of issues from the bliss smokestack/ scrubbers covering spice h20 and aft balconies in soot. Is this still a problem? Specifically looking for info on pc crossing. Not sure if the itinerary matters but seem to recall this being reported more widely on pc cruises.Have sailed bliss before (mex riv Dec 22) and didn’t notice (at spice anyway). Input appreciated, thanks!
  11. Just reviewed onboard account settlement for breakaway. Breakfast total 5.94 (4.95 + 20%)
  12. On the breakaway now. Six is on Monday and Tuesday (days 2 and 3), burn the floor Friday and sat (days 6 and 7).
  13. I upgraded to unlimited with streaming.
  14. Have run a few speed tests since embarkation; slowest connection measured 68mbps leaving Nola. Today, a sea day and ostensibly more people on their devices, have not seen <100 mbps. Very impressive NCL and Elon! wfh from spice h20 one step closer to reality!
  15. Sitting in the theatre on the breakaway. Day 2, en route to costa maya and getting 100+ mbps.
  16. I don’t disagree with that, but am hard pressed to think of any examples where this has been the case; where both a price increase and increase in level of service have been achieved. It’s all a value decision, and the weighting of the individual decision points that make up the equation vary from one to another. Breakfast on my balcony for $5 on my schedule and convenience, being on vacation….done and done. IMO it’s a nickel holding up a dollar. to quote the Boss, I’ll be there on time and pay the cost.
  17. Everyone has their own opinion, so here’s mine: breakfast is included in your fare, as are all meals. You’re not paying for breakfast or any other room service food, you’re paying for the convenience of eating in your cabin vs getting dressed and going to buffet or whatever. This involves extra staff dedicated to delivering instead of doing something else. when I call room service, usually a few times per and usually about 0100, I weigh the cost vs convenience. Convenience and a drunken enjoyment of a blt on my balcony almost always wins. For the breakfast change, this actually makes more sense to me than the previous policy of “some things are delivered free, others will be a cost”, For me, this will actually be less expensive as I typically would order the hot breakfast items and pay the old, higher, delivery surcharge.
  18. A cruise mapping website shows only 4 in port on 9 Dec; 1 at 0700, breakaway and glory at 0900 and reflection at 10. Wouldn’t think 4 in port at coz would necessitate tendering, unless as mentioned above, something like construction/maintenance.
  19. I’m on the 11 Dec breakaway. Did a mock booking and now get a pop-up showing itinerary changes; Roatan and coz showing as tender which I had not seen before. EDocs still show all ports docked, so hopefully bird is correct. I rather enjoy the cruise ship canyon at the coz dock, and would rather not tender. Guess we’ll know for sure in a few days!
  20. Think this varies quite a bit. Getting enough time on the track to make the pass a value-added decision will likely involve more planning and flexibility than the arcade. Generally, I lean for getting the pass. You can pay for it in advance then not have to worry about getting dinged each time. Value may not be there in actuality, but gives the kids free reign.
  21. Order some flowers for her cabin. Price isn’t too unreasonable, arrangements are nice and they last at least a week.
  22. On the bliss last year, was talking with a pax (who was in show biz) and wondered if some of the cast from Prohibition was also in Six. He said it couldn’t be as Six (and ostensibly other production shows I guess) were equity actors and only performed accompanied with live music. Thought that was a rather interesting tidbit, hadn’t really thought about the different levels of productions / class system.
