  1. Be careful. If you use a double-up promotion and do a price adjustment, they now take the 2nd CN certificate off of the reservation if there is no applicable double-up at the time. It seems like the triple-up promo from January went under the radar (stayed on reservation even with a price drop) but that could change at any time.
  2. When I was there last August tickets to blue lagoon had been sold out for months - I had checked on it before I even left home. You could take the bus to the area but that was it.
  3. That's the only one that showed for mine as well. Might just be the app, since it's still showing as available to book...One never knows with NCL.
  4. I was booked for Australia in 2025 - only itinerary that was mostly Australia - it was just cancelled, much later than all the others. So I was holding out hope. Curious, does your Jan 28 cruise have any excursions available?
  5. I'm booked for January 4, 2024 - same itinerary. It is still showing as of now. But, as of now, there is only 1 excursion listed which makes me a little nervous. Also booked for Papeete to Sydney in December 2023 (couldn't make up my mind) and there are plenty of excursions - so it's not like it's too early. But both dates are still showing as available for booking on the website so maybe they are making an itinerary change. If they cancel the Spirit cruise I booked to replace the one they originally cancelled do I get multiple 10 & 20% off coupons? Just joking, that's not how NCL works. And I still haven't gotten a notice for the one they already did cancel...
  6. They can't read either.... I've sent in a number of post-cruise comments, some good, some not so good. And the responses are nearly always totally off subject. For example if you suggest they offer non-alcoholic latitudes benefits - or something other than strawberries for people who are allergic - the response will be something along the lines of how to put in a special needs request.
  7. That's good information to have for future reference. I did my upgrade just before the payment deadline. It's possible that any upgrade (paid or WP) would trigger a flag on the FCC, since after final payment changes are a one-time offering. I did get FCC on a cruise when I also won a bid, so that didn't trigger anything. But it was quite some time ago.
  8. I would not count on being able to use the card the same day - they might assign the number but you still need the security code to use it. I got mine while onboard and was able to use it immediately for my onboard account but hard to say if that's possible in your case.
  9. Best way to get someone to notice your request would be to go to a past roll call and ask there.
  10. Pretty sure the "up to" means the $4.95 for breakfast is still in effect. Especially since that is followed by the statement that guests in the Haven don't have to pay. Only used it once in February and was charged.
  11. Being close to land doesn't mean there are cell towers within range of the ship, especially in non-populated areas. So don't plan on cell service while at sea. WiFi is via satellite, so always variable. I've never used anything but the basic service but I only check emails, no work.
  12. They are something that you buy onboard, in advance. If you don't have any now and you aren't currently on a cruise, your only option is to buy them online from a 3rd party.
  13. Yes, I've done that but the transfer back might not be immediate, so no guarantee that you will get them back in time.
  14. Posted on another site, offer is supposed to be through 6/27.
  15. And just because it always seems to come up. A 1 day deviation means you should be arriving sometime the day prior to your cruise. Could be 6:30 in the morning, could be in the evening - or later. A 2 day deviation means arriving 2 days before your cruise, same arrival window. People seem to sometimes think it means leaving 1 or 2 days before your cruise. When you actually leave depends on how long it will take you to arrive to your destination. That might be just a few hours for a domestic flight, could be 24 hours or more for international.
  16. I thought it was the other way around - you'd get the onboard promos, no different than if you paid. But I don't get the specialty dining so can't say for sure. I know if you upgrade with a bid you don't get some of the onboard promos, although I won an upgrade to club balcony and got the cabin perks (wine, snacks, laundry). As to FCC, I know that's not true. I just got FCC from my last cruise and I used an upgrade. Price adjustment was based on the price change between what I paid and the current price for that category. But as my PCC said, it sometimes depends on who handles your request.
  17. Yea, sadly the Aus/NZ trips aren't cheap. I just want to make sure that any % discounts are applied before anything else, although the upgrade shouldn't affect pricing. My concern about adding the upgrade too soon is that if prices do go down - or they reduce the solo supplement - it's a real mess to try to get the price adjusted. With all the cancellations, it's hard to say if people will be cancelling trips on the Spirit because they just don't trust NCL- or filling the ships to use the 20% discount.
  18. Now that is interesting. I was told that if I used points to upgrade any balcony and up promos were still based on the cabin I paid for. But I don't have anything eligible at this point anyway...
  19. When they offered it in January, the CN manager onboard said it was only for new bookings. But that wasn't true. If you read the T&C's for DoubleUp I think it usually says new bookings also. Either they don't enforce it or "new bookings" just means anything that's not past final payment -which does make some sense. So no reason under that theory that you couldn't cancel and rebook to use multiples - unlike CruiseFirst that has specific no cancel/rebook terms - which just creates more paperwork for NCL.
  20. This is on the Jewel in Alaska later this summer, so can't use the 20% discount from the Spirit. One reason the upgrade deal was so good is that there is no solo supplement on inside & OV but no solo discount currently on balconies. Some Alaska cruises are highly discounted this summer. I've got 2 Spirit cruises booked for later, not sure which one I'll keep. Recommendation from my PCC is to wait until the FCC is applied, then do the upgrade. I'll also make Diamond on the Alaska cruise so have to factor in using that upgrade on something - only a year to use that one. Fortunately none of my points are expiring soon.
  21. You were lucky - my 2nd one keeps getting returned when I make a price adjustment to a reservation. But no worries, I just put it back on when the "any cabin" special comes back the next month.
  22. The "pre-publication" rumor I saw only indicated 3- 4 days if I remember correctly.
  23. Just scored a sweet upgrade deal, for anyone who is debating the value of the CC upgrades. Cost to upgrade from my OV to balcony would be a little over $3K on my upcoming cruise. Minimum bid to upgrade would have been $80 x 2 ($160 total) and no guarantee for any upgrade, let alone at a minimum bid. So I used my $300 in points value and my balcony was just assigned - I'm not picky so just did the online redemption, took less than 24 hours for new cabin assignment. Cruise is still 2 months away, so of course prices could go down some but very doubtful that a paid upgrade would be less than $300. And while I've had good luck with bids in the past, don't really want to chance it. I'm happy.
  24. I've won my bid after lowering it, don't think it really matters when you bid although there is some speculation that bids are date-stamped. But the bid amount could make a difference. In my case the ship was way undersold (just after startup) so figured I'd probably get my upgrade regardless of the bid amount, and I was correct. Sealed your fate? - depends entirely on the where your bid fits into the algorithm. Did you lower your chances - maybe, simply because others may outbid you at this point. If the ship is undersold and there are upgrades available for everyone then bid amount probably doesn't matter much.
