Electric Car Charging Solution in Fort Lauderdale
LindaD22 replied to timcreech's topic in Florida Departures
I think you have your answer! Use your gas car when the electric is not practical, such as this. -
I love my Birkenstocks too! I have multiple sandals plus some sneakers, which are great when it looks like rain is in the forecast. I have wide feet with past bunion surgeries, so comfort is Priority #1.

Makeup removal and face cleansing: national differences
LindaD22 replied to shipgeeks's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
So interesting to read! When I wear makeup, I use liquid makeup remover on a cotton pad and then some CeraVe cleanser, applied with my fingers and rinsed off with a microfiber cloth. I thoroughly rinse the cloth and use it the next morning with just water as a refresh, then it’s tossed in laundry. -
As posted above, we were in a JS, our Set Sail passes did indicate Suite, but staff in the terminal were checking passengers and cabins on a laptop before allowing admittance into the Suite waiting area. As a JS, we were not allowed in and could not board early. Hopefully this is just an exception

We sailed from Civitavecchia this past May. We were in a Jr Suite, but were not allowed to wait & board with Suite guests. Staff were at the Suites waiting area with a laptop, looking up passengers and cabins before allowing entry. Jr Suites did not make the cut and had to wait & board with everyone else 🤷🏼♀️

I like my Hydroflask because it keeps the water cold forever and I just don’t like drinking warm water. Mine has a hook on the lid so it’s easy to carry. I use a 24 oz and that’s been plenty for most excursions.

That is true, they are a substantial shoe and not lightweight. In fact, I wear these on my travel days so I don’t have to pack them!

Fellow fussy feet sufferer here. These leather sneakers by Birkenstock are my go-to for long days of walking. They are very comfortable with a wide toe bed, cork insole that molds to your foot, and leather that resists downpours and generally unpleasant conditions. I think they are low profile enough to go with almost any outfit. Birkenstocks work really well for me and I own different shoes and sandals. https://www.birkenstock.com/us/bend-natural-leather/bendlow-smoothleather-naturalleather-0-rubber-u_2.html

Alternative to heels for a heel girl?
LindaD22 replied to toxicfairy's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
I have had surgery on both feet with permanent hardware in one. Heels are just not an option anymore for me, either. After much trial and error, and many returns, I’ve found low wedge heels to be the most comfortable. I can wear these all night without any discomfort. The heel is low, but enough to give a more dressy look. -

Steward service in a junior suite
LindaD22 replied to sellwingri's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We are in a JS on Explorer. Service is still twice per day, although we let our steward know that once a day is adequate for us. We are generally tidy and don’t require the fussing. -
Hairdryers on Explorer Of The Seas

We are on Explorer now. There is a hair dryer in the top drawer of the vanity, it’s a compact Conair 1875. -

The cargo pants do have a slimmer leg, I was looking at those too. ❤️ -
Review, Lululemon’s City Sleek Utilitech Pants
LindaD22 replied to LindaD22's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
of course you’re right! I always like to wait for a sale, or at least use my Delta airlines shopping portal for points. But I’ve tried spending less and expecting the same performance, only to be disappointed and out that money also. To me, investing in quality clothing that will offer years of wear and perform just as I expect is worth it. But I understand that for others, price point is the determining factor. -
I thought I’d share my opinions on Lululemon’s City Sleek Utilitech pants. We have been cruising Italy & the Mediterranean since May 8. Many of those days had very rainy days, sometimes pouring rain. These pants did outstanding. They are very comfortable, plenty of pockets, resist water & wrinkles, and dry quickly. They did at times get soaked at the cuffs (again, LOTS of rain!!) but once inside or during drier bits of the day, they air dried very well. I plan to purchase another pair in either black or navy. On a side note, my Lands End waterproof rain jacket (shown below) was a workhorse! It kept me dry no matter what, the hood was so appreciated, pockets were great and snapped shut. Great jacket! https://shop.lululemon.com/p/women-pants/City-Sleek-5P-WL-HR-Pant-L-Utilitech/_/prod11140028

We are on Explorer now, B2B with a 6-Nt and 7-Nt. Each had a Dress to Impress night and a Formal night, when lobster was served. Dress varied widely from tuxes & gowns to more casual attire.

I guess I don’t understand the appeal of these wide-legged cropped pants. Just a couple of inches more and you have proper pants that are far more flattering. I don’t want to look squat and frumpy, pants elongate the leg. A nice gauze fabric is great for warmer weather.

Reasonably priced carry-on bag for embarkation?
LindaD22 replied to NJRonbo's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
Royal Caribbean absolutely does NOT allow people to enter their cabins and drop off luggage before the cabins are made available to everyone, usually around 2:00. The hallways to cabins will all be shut with signs instructing passengers to wait until an announcement is made regarding the cabins being open. Please do not inconvenience those stewards working hard to turn around the cabins between cruises. -
Is it smart to book two years in advance?

We had an aft JS on Liberty and did enjoy the space! -

ok, I gotta know what/where these cabins are located! We typically book aft balconies when available, although lately we’ve gone to JS for extra points as we work to Diamond. And I have *zero* knowledge. of what to look for to gain extra space. I’d love to hear what cabins you recommend, on which ships, to take advantage of that. Thanks! -
I also love my Keen Rose sandals, very comfortable for all-day walking, no matter where the day takes you.
