  1. Maybe I will try the mac and cheese. I see the orange juice is complimentary for the kids on this menu. I wonder if an adult could order it (since they charge for OJ after breakfast.) Maybe the whole OJ thing has changed since my last cruise, but I'm curious about the complementary thing.
  2. Yes, I had noticed that.
  3. Sorry to hear it. I was thinking it might be a way to use up some of that OBC I've got.
  4. I asked my grandsons who were last on a ship in 2019, so there is that. They told me the age cutoff was 13 and they were sure about it since this was their first time in the teen club and they had turned 13 earlier that year. Of course, who knows what has changed since then.
  5. I'm one of them. Sorry to see it go.
  6. I guess somebody has the coin, or Princess would not be sailing there. The famous bean counters work in mysterious ways and they seem to think this pricing works. I hope you do get to Hawaii someday because it's really a wonderful cruise and beautiful destination.
  7. Yes, nothing funnier than handicapped people, especially old ones. Classy.
  8. I guess I better steer my wheelchair the other direction. I'm afraid your little "joke" on old people here is not quite as funny as you think it is.
  9. So this is the "New Princess"? Looks like further evidence of the "Classier Carnival" theory I've heard about. This is so sad.
  10. The new rock and roll venue on HAL is really fun. Very good bands and a decent selection of music. The "piano person" is actually the piano people because it's two musicians playing at the same time, a piano duet, with both singing. That seems to be the most popular on the ship (from my experience) but the BB King venue is always packed, too.
  11. What entertainment do you prefer? HAL has the music walk with several different musical genres to choose from, classical to R&B, etc. Princess has glitzier production shows. HAL has the Crow's Nest, a a top deck lounge with windows and views all around (and a bar). Princess has the Piazza with limited ocean views but lots of people-watching opportunities (and a bar.)
  12. Thanks for doing this. We are on the Discovery next month. We will be doing Club Class, so I hope we can avoid those long lines at the dining room. That's how it was on the Majestic, and it took forever to be seated. The lentil pie sound delicious. DH always goes for the Indian food at the buffet. We were told there are many Indian crew members, so there is lots of food available for them and us. (Of course the crew is not in the buffet line.) DH is also the gambler and hopes the machines will be nice to him. (They are never nice to me.) Looking forward to more and especially your visit to Salty Dog pub.
  13. A brilliant gentleman whose name I forget used to have a web site with photos of obstructed balconies. Someone with a better memory might know the web address for that site (and hoping it still exists.)
  14. I know some people like the privacy of their own balcony. It can get crowded up on deck, and there are always lots of kids dashing about. For size, nothing beat the old Caribe balconies on the Grand class ships.
  15. There was on my first post-pause cruise. I would expect they still do that. Since I've been in the wheelchair I use the handicapped line, but I used to appreciate the Elite line when I used it.
  16. Okay, I know this is one of those "tips" threads and I have not been following it, but I am still chuckling every time I read "Cruise Appreciation" because it's just too funny. Do they teach that in high school these days? ๐Ÿ˜‚
  17. Again, happy and thrilled and tickled to hear it. Chuffed, even.
  18. Princess used to be strict about not letting age groups mix, but I don't know if they still maintain the same standard. You should call and ask.
  19. Yes, I know, but the ranger who meets with the kids is a different thing. That one just deals with the kids and not the navigation, etc. of the ship. Two different rangers with different purposes. I doubt the official rangers on the bridge are there to make the captain a junior ranger. ๐Ÿ˜
  20. "Jewellery-wrattlers"? Is that anything like a jewelry wrangler? You know, they do give out stickers saying "I'm Elite.": the Medallions show the status (or at least it did on my last cruise.) I suppose there are people who chase status, but as you yourself know, becoming Elite just happens if you cruise long enough. After I'm gone from Princess, I will admit I'll miss the free laundry.
