  1. Just sailed on Apex disembarking Aug 21 and Nicole was the casino host - that cruise was her first week on board. She was really great - very personable, approachable and helpful!
  2. I think your best bet would be to contact a third party casino host and send them the offers you are currently receiving from NCL. They will then be able to get you offers from the other cruise lines and you can choose who you think would suit you best. Whenever i have received offers with Celebrity, Princess and Virgin Voyages they are always no solo supplement - I just pay the taxes and fees.
  3. We were on Scarlet in February for Superbowl this year. It was actually a great experience and I would totally do it again. They showed the game in the Social Club, on the screen (which has excellent resolution by the way) in the casino but best of all they showed it on a huge screen in the Red Room. My husband and I lucked out and got a couch on the second floor of the Red Room overlooking the room/display. Go early and get that spot! They were handing out popcorn and snacks etc. The atmosphere on the ship was really fun as everyone seemed to get into the game being on.
  4. I can confirm that #3 the bridge tour was no charge for us in a MRS suite a couple months ago. We just asked our roadie for a tour and got one. We did however ask to book the Behind the Scenes on our most recent cruise 2 weeks ago and even as MRS we were charged for it - they were sure to let us know that it would be charged and not comped. Even still it was well worth it. Sorry I can't answer #1 or #2.
  5. Great review! Big question is would you book on VV again in the future?
  6. You deserve some shut eye after all that travel! Glad you made it safely - so looking forward to hearing all about your first day onboard Resilient!!
  7. Love that furry luggage!! Safe travels!
  8. Ohhh i hope this is the case on our sailing next week! Would love to get a handpay or two 🙂
  9. Hahaha i love this - never heard anyone refer to AC that way but yeah it fits the bill! Looking forward to following along on your adventure - the itinerary looks awesome!
  10. This is a great deal! I have a couple booking in june and 1 in January I wonder if i can cancel and rebook to get that discount
  11. Wow that must have been quite a waterspout burst! Hoping no one was hurt!
  12. I've never been asked for it in the 3x ive sailed VV
  13. Thank you for the updates. As someone who has never been on a TA but is contemplating one next year I am especially interested in how this differs from a regular cruise. Good to hear VV has added some entertainment! Is the stargazing the one they hold at the Dock? Can you let us know if they actually turn down the lights to make it easier to see stars? We found between ship lights and the smoke from the stacks it was pretty much a waste of time. Love that your group is coming up with your own activities to supplement those of VV's - Great idea!
  14. You are totally correct - I knew this but reversed it in my tired just got off a cruise brain late last night! Sorry to cause any confusion!
  15. I just disembarked from Solstice today and spent a fair amount of time in the casino - my second cruise on Solstice since December. As a video poker player mainly it was a challenge to get one of the three working machines that had multi play games like Ultimate X. There are 2 machines in the long bank of maybe 12 machines that are the Superstar version. There are also 3 standalone machines Superstars near the casino bar. Only 1 works (it was like this on the December cruise too). The seats in the casino for slots don't have backs on them so I found it to be pretty inhospitable for long sessions and as a result mostly played VP as those had actual chairs. If I was the casino manager on that ship, changing the chairs would be the number one thing I'd do. At the end of the cruise, Nicola the host approached me to let me know she would be crediting my account a couple hundred dollars. I have always had to ask the host at the end for comps so that was a really nice surprise not having to chase someone down. Overall the casino experience onboard was fine but I don't think I would sail Solstice again without an update and certainly not longer than 7 nights.
  16. My favorite thing about Virgin is having complete confidence when we board the ship that A) there will be zero small humans on board and B) knowing that we are guaranteed to have an amazing cruise with like minded people who just want to have fun and soak up everything that VV has to offer.
  17. Mega Rockstars (and regular RS) can (and should) book restaurant reservations at 45 days out
  18. I have 6 bookings and 4 placeholders and its working ok for me
  19. Jealous! Have a fabulous cruise and would love to read more updates!
  20. So just because you didn't experience it you think its nothing? Wow This is cabin 11196 on Beyond in February 69861089225__54863A48-4791-4E86-B931-EF59763FFF40.MOV
  21. Actually Celebrity makes you use the app to check in now too. Seems like they are all going to go that way eventually
  22. Not sure but I am on April 15 and can let you know. When we were on in December I didn't play a ton of slots but I do remember The Pig lock it link
  23. We had a blast - so much fun seeing everyone just so happy to finally be onboard and celebrating! Pound some Redbull and go for it!
  24. I was the total opposite - i searched and found the perfect pair of PJ's ( I don't usually wear PJ's) for the event but ended up falling in love with how comfy they are and now wear them all the time and intend to wear them on all future VV PJ nights. There were also many people at the party that were in regular clothes and that was cool too so maybe next time for you? 🙂
