We in Florida sometimes get a discount for cruising last minute. Since we can drive to the many ports here it makes it easy.

The best place for someone who gets seasick is lower deck and middle of the ship. So based on that you can decide.

I think the bigger issue is the crew getting sick. If they relax guest requirements to cruise it could lead to more covid on ships. Which then effects the guest experience if crew is sick. It's a crazy situation for the cruise lines. I myself don't want to pay for a cruise and have bad service.

Nope but I put it in my comments when I did the survey. They have no idea how many are getting sick from cruising.

E class especially in a suite!

We did Christmas on Equinox with friends before Covid and loved it. Beautiful decorations, fun things that kids were involved with, Santa on Christmas day etc. Go you will love it.

You are not crazy, traveling right now is crazy! We had stress last cruise as daughter had flight from Denver day before cruise and we worried it would be delayed. However all worked out OK. Lucky for us we just drive to the Florida ports. Good luck with your trip.

We have done 5 cruises since last November and did get covid after being on Apex. We were boostered and cautious but every ship has covid on it. It's a crap shoot now to cruise. We will do land travel for the summer and cruise again inthe fall.

Nice review we did the 4 nighter before you. Shows were OK, ice show was the best. Saw all types of clothing in the MDR, very casual. We found the buffet had a boring choice of food. Service on ship was excellent as was getting on and off the ship. We were off by 7:20 doing the walk off. We haven't done a Royal Caribbean cruise in years as we do Celebrity. We are going to stick to Celebrity as we think food is better. Plus we are older and like that more people dress up abit. It's just us doing us!

Maybe put a sticky note on your devices when leaving them by the pool. "CAMERAS ARE WATCHING YOU DONT STEAL ME THEY WILL THROW YOU OVERBOARD"

Wow glad I read this before our next Royal cruise. We usually cruise Celebrity and we always dress up. Guess we don't have to do that on Royal anymore.

I take proof of everything I purchase pre cruise. I also bring my invoice as once they started to charge our account for tips when we had prepaid! Showed them the invoice and no issue got it fixed. If you don't want to drag paper copies just take pictures of your documents on your phone!

Wondered how things are on Independence as we do a 4 nite soon. Seems on Celebrity boards many are getting covid either on the cruise or the day after they are off. Anyone have any insight on Independence?

From what I have heard many ships are having the same issue.

All you can do is mask up, use hand sanitizer and hope you get lucky. We have done 4 cruises and the 4th on Apex gave us covid. I think the ships are petri dishes for it. Everything you touch, someone else has touched it also. The air inside can only circulate so much of it out. Take medication with you as I have read the ship stores no longer stock anything. We have not sailed on Royal for many years as we usually do Celebrity. Taking a 4 night in June. First wondering if when we board (11:00) will we be able to drop our carry on luggage in our room? (We can do this on Celebrity). Also what condition is the ship in? We were last on her 8 years ago. (Just wondering if she is looking old). Thanks for any info!
