  1. Precisely. Or - if you have a child as I do - then you can board b/t the As and the Bs. I told my kid that she's good for something!!!!!
  2. Ahhhh - so you're the "real" Jill Masterson.
  3. SW doesn't give you opportunity to buy seats. You board in alphabetical sections, etc.
  4. Yes it is. But she may not have a choice - physically. She may not be able to fit her feet back into her space if she's that large.
  5. That passenger appears to need two seats....
  6. I know I'm late to the party, but you ("Sid") truly are a godsend. First, your writing style is the stuff of comic dreams. Second, anyone who loves the Sex Pistols can do no wrong! Lastly, your blog whisks me away from a three-day slog of overtime drudgery. I'm here for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the nasty!
  7. Approximately $85-$125 or so depending on the type of vehicle (purely an estimate).
  8. I have to revise my earlier post about how many affected airplanes United has - it's 79 - not 12. I think I was quoting just a subset of the specific type - not the overall number. I'm sorry.
  9. I guess I don't understand OP's point. YOU made the decision not to test. Are you suggesting Celebrity physically force you to take a test?
  10. I think the reason is the lack of that extra weight lightens the car's weight for MPG, etc.
  11. Looks as if United only has about 12 of those planes. It's estimated to take b/t 4-8 hours to inspect each one. You'll probably be okay.
  12. First thing is to see if you're in a cabin that can accommodate three people. Makes no difference if you plan on having your baby in your bed with you. If not, you may want to determine if any are available if the 3/4 pax promo still is in effect, etc.
  13. I did a 26-day cruise in L108. Felt like "Paul" rather than "George," Ringo," or "John."
  14. I've cruise both Disney and Princess - multiple times and enjoyed both - for different reasons. When my daughter was young, she was into Disney stuff so I booked the Disney Fantasy twice (and later the Magic). The Fantasy was a lovely ship and we had a wonderful cabin but I couldn't sleep well at night because the cabins on either side were so loud with numerous children (lots of Disney cabins can hold up to 5 people, etc.). Moreover, kids were running up and down the hallways, screaming, etc. Princess cabins may not be as sparkly, but I sleep like a baby on them. Food on Disney was atrocious, especially in the buffet. Princess food is not terrific but better than Disney's. Disney's productions were spot on and always enjoyable. Princess can be hit or miss. What I didn't get on Disney was peace and quiet. Always a character meet and greet, groups of kids surrounding me, etc. On Princess, I can find quiet time to enjoy the ocean, etc. The worst cabin attendant I've ever had was on Disney. The best - on Princess. So, I found both good and not-so-good on both cruise lines. I cruised on Disney before it jacked up its prices to an ungodly amount. I won't cruise it now because, IMHO, the value isn't there. I have another Princess cruise booked next Christmas as I got, what I consider to be, a good fare.
  15. Thank you so much for the photo review and elegantly written blog. Looking forward to more....
  16. Well said. It's as if some repliers think we should have to prove our "innocence." This is deeply troubling.
  17. Got it. I thought the poster suggested someone was accusing the port agent of the "crime" of racism. Too much wine......
  18. Sorry but I don't buy it. Same thing happened to me and my daughter. It was racial - that was obvious. There's no reason to single out a person of a different color. Entirely inappropriate and outrageous.
