  1. Are you on Brilliance May 7th? We are still waiting for a possible Royal up from a Junior Suite to either Grand or Owners. Hope we both get it!
  2. "This is our 39th year of sailing with RCCL. In 39 years we've NEVER had an upgrade even once." In the days before "Royal Up" there was always the chance of an Upgrade. Not so much anymore. We could not get to our Xmas cruise last December, due to the storm of the century. They just said , "Sorry about your luck" and that's fine. I would have loved the Crown and Anchor points, but nope, sorry, no points even though you paid for the cruise, and that is also fine. On our cruise in 3 weeks, we have a junior suite, and prices have dropped $600, and that's fine. In 18 months we retire. Hoping to live full time in a RV and drive round the coast, picking up cruise bargains all the way around the continent! I'm gonna get all the cheapy cruises then! LOL This time, we paid what we decided was acceptable, in a cabin we deemed acceptable. Royal owes us nothing more, than what we paid for.
  3. I like your wife already! Can you tell me where she get these? Does Johnny Rockets do shots in a milkshake? lol
  4. G'day, Hubby and I do not usually drink alcohol, but love to try a different drink everyday when on a cruise. I just love a mudslide, which is based on baileys. Do you have a drink you can suggest , that might be based on milk, rather than Juices? Thanks!
  5. DH works for Wahl and buys Hair clippers to give to the barbers on board. They have to use their own equipment, and DH will ask them what they are using, and then give them a new upgraded version. They are so grateful! Made me tear up when they did!
  6. Sadly, we are on our first suite cruise on May 7th on Brilliance. No Coastal Kitchen on Brilliance Not sure if there is any Suite dining option on our cruise. Coastal kitchen is only for suites, so with the prices of the cruise, they better be giving decent food!
  7. Yes, but you need to add the fact you had already paid for your dinner in your cruise fare. So $53 plus the cruise dinner fare you paid for equals? What exactly?
  8. We always buy medical, but do not buy travel insurance. Storm of the century on 23rd Dec closed Canada by road and flights. No way to get to our cruise port. First time we ever lost money after many many holidays. We always said if we lose one we will start getting both medical and Travel. Instead we got a credit card that covers both. No refund from Royal, and we didnt expect one. What really bit though, was that even though we paid for the cruise, we did not get our Crown and Anchor points. 😞
  9. G'day, Can you explain how to set up a watchlist for Royal Caribbean please?
  10. G'day, I Know that Diamond get 4 free drink vouchers a day. Happy hour is now gone correct? If I am in a suite, but am say, gold, there are free drinks at lunch? At which venues please? How about in the smaller ships. What I am reading here is that free wine and beer and soda are free for suites. Sorry I am a bit confused. Is there a link to all this info? Thanks
  11. The only problem is that I am not sure they are reading them. Still waiting for responses to 3 emails from 6 months ago.
  12. Least they don't put you on standby at the pier!!
  13. A bit like buying tickets to one of those concerts that break the internet? LOL Thanks so much.
  14. Thanks so much, and if you find a bargain, do you have to call to book?
  15. How do you find out they have a Going Going Gone sale started? I have never seen this!
  16. Then RC is just asking for trouble. A parent with their own children is one thing, but allowing a large group of Teens with only "Camp Councilor" type of supervision is just crazy.
  17. It is time for Royal Caribbean to have Adults Only Cruises. Do they have them? I know I would consider booking them!
  18. Last Oct cruise we were in the first boarding time. Ship was late getting clearance and we stood in the snake queue for nearly 2 extra hours. The elderly were in quite distress!
  19. Yes!!! I fly home from Toronto Canada to Sydney Australia once a year (except during Covid). Flights are usually $1600 return before Covid, and now the cheapest is $2700 return. Just awful! Cruising seems to be going the same way.
