  1. I would have pushed the issue until they were removed. Children of that age are not allowed in hot tubs
  2. Since Covid it's been about going to ports of call that would accept cruise ship passengers. As things continue to open up we can hope for expanded offerings - back to Grand Cayman, for example. But since itineraries are put out months and even years ahead the cruise lines are sticking to tried & true.
  3. Not correct; you do not need the highest plan to get a flavoring in your coffee. Even the Easy plan allows for it.
  4. Yes, you CAN get apple juice at breakfast in either the buffet or Main Dining room. It is absolutely included (but you might need to ask for it).
  5. NOT necessarily correct. There are different types of OBC some of which are non refundable and are "use it or lose it"
  6. of these 2, I'd take 19040, but you WILL hear sound in the morning above. No way around that on deck 19
  7. Wow, now you've got me thinking. I always "assumed" it meant you could move the date of your sailing one time especially in terms of a YC booking because the deposits are non refundable. But you make an excellent point with how vague the wording is... Any TA's out there willing to comment?
  8. I would venture that the Main Dining Room menus will be the same on both ships.
  9. Greetings! While this isn't specific to MSC we are looking at doing a Western Med leaving Rome in January of 2023. We have done this approximate route in the summer and fall, but never winter. I know it will be chilly and the days will have less daylight. Can anyone who has done this comment on what it's like? To note it is significantly less expensive than, say, high season but I'm wondering if it will be "meh" vs longer days and later sunsets in the summer.
  10. Sorry, but I call shenanigans. A man with his hands down a CONSENTING woman's pants on a cruise ship is not going to have local police involved. And, gee, sorry you don't like "miscellaneous South Fl people" ...
  11. Would argue that La Terre is drinkable 😉
  12. You are correct; I was referring to Easy Plus in US which had Mondavi/Danzante/etc in the mid tier
  13. Details, please? We were in the YC on the Mera and were surprised to see guests in pajamas in the dining room at breakfast, and men with ballcaps on at dinner. But the cruiseline allowed this (much to my chagrin). What this "very very very poor behavior"? No. But certainly not the standard I'd ideally like to see. (You wanna wear jammies? Order room service or eat by the pool, but not the YC dining room would be my preference.) If you want to see really bad behavior, jump on a 3 night booze cruise out of FL, not the YC on MSC (in my opinion).
  14. Sounds like you are sailing out of Europe; the wines will be different. In the US I will say that the Easy Package wines are the equivalent of $9/$10 bottles (retail) wines. Personally we upgrade to the Premium plan because we don't like them.
  15. Not sure what ship was being filmed. More info needed.
  16. You can take the regular tram to the other beaches, but I've never heard of the YC tram going. You would have to rent an umbrella. Your YC privileges do not extend outside of the enclave (except for your drink package, but they don't carry any higher end brands at the non YC bars so it's kind of moot).
  17. If you log into your booking you will see the prices, however since you are well over a year out that info might not be available yet. For an 11 night your best bet will be to purchase a 20 or 40 piece package. Sending items out individually is incredibly expensive.
  18. Now I want to book a solo cruise 😉
  19. Yes, the Starboard side of the ship will face the island.
  20. If you can no longer split the package you are still better off buying the 40; after 7 nights you will easily have 40 pieces to launder since a pair of socks =1, pair of undies = 1...
  21. Fares change constantly with hotels, airlines, car rentals, etc. Why should cruises be any different? People book far in advance to get a ship/sailing/cabin they want. Same with airfares. If the price goes down the airline doesn't give a credit or OBC. Why should cruiselines? As far as not booking a cruise (one month out) if you don't get the one specific cabin you are looking for.. well, I'm thinking that's going to work out too well. (PS, MSC often changes cabins, which is at their discretion...)
  22. The buffet will be open for food. As far as dress code, pants and blouse are perfectly acceptable for gala night.
  23. It is ONE per stateroom. Your best bet on the Divina is to have the tasting menu at Butcher's Cut. There's plenty of reference to what that includes on the boards.
  24. You can go anywhere on island HOWEVER you will not have any YC treatment 🙂
