  1. You might want to reread my post. I said "Cancel Culture" hasn't hit it yet, and the 2 schools you mention does not equate to what I was implying.
  2. If this comes to be, RC better bring back the option of refundable deposits for suites.
  3. 2 out of 9,581 schools in Australia is a not even a blip. For all we know, those two schools might also allow book burnings. In fact this discussion reminds me of another movie released 6 years after Grease, where values were questioned and you couldn’t dance in Beaumont. Stats on Australia school numbers. https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/education/schools/latest-release
  4. Lenny, I looked up your new mobility walker. It’s quite the device. I’m sure once you have put it in and out of the car a few times you will have it mastered.
  5. Give the container a good shake every time you use it to mix the spices. I put on a liberal amount but Lisa finds salt an pepper to be enough. I don’t start adding the salt until the container is at the half way point. For some reason it disappears from the bottle. Season how you like it. Reminds me of a skit from Letterkenny. Can’t post the direct link for the language used, but if you aren’t timid click away. https://youtu.be/kI9_wnlOx0Q
  6. Many thanks. They taste amazing too. 🙂 They all get a quick coating of extra virgin olive oil. Lisa and Owen get salt and pepper on both sides. Mine get Keg Spice (Steak House up here in Canada) and salt both sides. Cooking time; 1.5 minutes then a half turn for another 1.5. Then flip and follow the same procedure with a temp check during the final 1.5 minutes. Medium rare, only way in this house.
  7. Since food porn is being posted here’s some photos of last night’s dinner. Ribeyes. Lucy was watching while I grilled. No sacrifices were make to her.
  8. Everything looks amazing, other than the pool colour. That will change quickly though. Are you getting patio furniture this summer, or did you get it last fall?
  9. @Travel R Are you starting a new thread when leave home for the ship and how long until you sail?
  10. We had an outage of 12 hours. Some areas near us are still without, close to 48 hours. I can attest, it has been like this with Lisa’s cough. I can’t exactly same the same for me as I’m not 100% sure which is allergies VS Covid.
  11. We are headed to the Jays game this afternoon, 1:30 start. Left field seats, first row above the bull pen. Pics to come.
  12. Very interesting reading. I only heard about the tornado on the weather network but that had to have been before analysts had viewed the damage. From the photos I’ve seen from Ottawa it looked rough. Hopefully you didn’t have serious damage.
  13. There was a wicked storm that rolled through the province this morning. There are still thousands of people without power, there was a tornado near Ottawa and unfortunately two people passed away from sustained injuries. The generators are still running at all three houses here with no idea when power will come back on. Thankfully it wasn’t worse as we only have one large tree limb down on the farms. I’ll move it with the tractor when the time is right.
  14. I shut the heating units off in the garage a month ago and today when we were shuffling around summer cars it got a stuffy inside. It is exceptionally humid and hot here today. It’s 81 and feels like 88 at the moment. I’m a bit excited because I turned on the new AC units which are in each of the 3 bays for the first time ever. They were installed last fall so I’m interested to get to finally use it and see how well it works. Be careful out there in the heat. It can take a toll.
  15. We usually have a 2-4 weeks in the spring where we don’t have either on. Unfortunately with bad allergies at the same time we keep the windows closed. We do have a fresh air intake that runs through a filter so we can still bring in fresh air and my nose, eyes and throat are OK. More often than not we go from winter to AC with little time in between. The fall is an easier transition from hot to cooler weather. We might not have either run for a solid month or more.
  16. What have we learned from all of this. When you cruise during a pandemic you take calculated risks. When you do a B2B during a pandemic you take calculated risks. When you leave your home during a pandemic you take calculated risks. When you see others during a pandemic you take calculated risks. Don't want to increase your chance go getting Covid, don't leave your home during a pandemic especially for a cruise. If you are good with calculated risks, then go about your way. If you happen to get Covid from your actions, those are the risks you take. Natural immunity, with or without vaccines is still the best form of immunity.
