On Allure Now And I Got Covid So Now What?
A&L_Ont replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you want it by the glass I heard it will be served in a used toilet paper roll, lined with a new sandwich bag. Honestly, it would be better if they just brought it in the box. Just as easy to burn later, when the room is vacatedโฆ along with the bedding. ๐๐- 376 replies

On Allure Now And I Got Covid So Now What?
A&L_Ont replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Have the cats even noticed that you are away? ๐๐ I am sorry that you had to go through all of this ordeal. As a perspective, MDR room service before the pandemic would take an hour to arrive, and we would order when the MDR opened. We would beat the rush, and it still too that long without staffing shortages, shite outfits etc... Clearly these are not normal times, but the attitude you encountered last night was abhorrent. I pray that your surf and turf meal tonight is the polar opposite of your experience yesterday. Your positive attitude is amazing during this soul testing experience. -

Taking a cruise during a pandemic can be problematic. -

Beware of Onboard Casino Offers
A&L_Ont replied to lkneller's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We usually take $40 each, a couple nights on the ship, and donate it to the cause. If it lasts and hour or so at the slots, it is better than a night at the movies after you add snacks and popcorn. It is almost the same cost as well. Wagering a set amount of money, to get a cabin with such restrictions makes me enjoy the way we go about it. That being said, different strokes for different folks. We like suites while others like insides. That's the thing about cruises, they pretty much have everyone covered. -
BA BOOM. Biker, wins post of the day. ๐

Add me to the list of those that agree. I can attest personally, having it on land sucks. At least my coffee is being served in a mug, not a paper soup bowl. (Those seeing the thread on the main boards will get that joke). @ReneeFLL I hope you feel as good as possible while in this crappy situation.

I think they are wanting free access.

On Harmony now, wife got Covid!
A&L_Ont replied to YankeesFan4Life's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My wife and I are in the last days/stages of Covid recovery. I said to her, I could not imagine how it would feel to be on a ship with how we feel here at home. I think the fresh air could be a big benefit that she is missing. As for food, our appetites has been off. Iโm sure if a steak was placed in front of me Iโd try it, but it is definitely not what Iโm craving. I hope your wife feels as good as possible, and that you remain negative for your trip home. -
Think Twice Before Booking Royal Caribbean
A&L_Ont replied to charlesspinney's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I wonder if they booked it for themselves, they are a co-owner after all. The commission would cover a chunk of the cruise cost and they travel the world from the Royal Suite. Now if it was an actual client, I wonder how the OBC and TA perks would work out for their client. Has to be more than one bottle of wine and a meal at Chops. ๐ -
Iโm used to spring allergies as a long time sufferer. For me this has been much worse than a head cold for me. It feels like a vice on my head, along with a horrendous sinus headache. I have been doing my best to stay hydrated. My appetite is low with just 3 bowls of cereal being consumed the last two days. I have been basically lounging on my bed the last two days. Lisa has been doing better than me, but is also two days ahead of being being patient zero for our home. Iโm optimistic that today will be a better day.
