  1. If you get there at 1pm you will have no problem. By then boarding will have already started and there should be no crowds for you to deal with. Plus the rooms should be ready when you get onboard…..
  2. saw another post where a person called Royal late last night and was told the ship was on schedule and sailing today!! Given that information they are going to head to the port based on what they were told. it seems the only ones getting enough information to use “deductive reasoning” are the people ONBOARD getting their information from their Captain because it is not coming from Royal…
  3. the Port of Tampa is closed. It is sad that this has not been communicated to those waiting to board ..
  4. she was coming from I believe New Jersey. Cape Canaveral is one of their port stops and they are always there until 9pm
  5. if the port is closed will it be allowed to leave? Just curious…
  6. we have arrived on Thanksgiving before and there may be a few open but very few…..we had a hard time finding somewhere to eat….
  7. Or pay a tiny bit extra and do valet parking and drop the car off at the terminal…. this can be reserved and prepaid online….
  8. We usually stay in balcony rooms, but we spend very little time in the room, especially on this class of ship with all the great views in other areas. Can someone (who has stayed in them) give me their honest opinion on the oceanview rooms and also on the promenade rooms?? Is there a problem with noise on either one? Thank you!!
  9. We sail out of Canaveral quite often. On our last few cruises they allowed people to line up in their marked off areas up until the 11:00-11:30 assigned times. All others were moved to the side and told to wait. we had a 10:30 check in so I am not sure exactly how it was handled after that but once they started letting people inside and they were processed they probably started letting others line up….but again I wasn’t there so I don’t know…
  10. We too have lived in the same town all our life but I have to disagree with you about how safe things are now. Yes the media does skews things but my husband is retired law enforcement and I can assure you things are NOT safer today and sadly are progressively getting worse. But maybe not where you live…..and if not you are truly lucky….
  11. The world is not the same as it was when your 20yr olds were young. Social media has changed a lot of things for the good and a tremendous amount of things for the bad.
  12. For the price of hotels it would not be worth it to me…..
  13. Yes there are snacks but you do have to use one of your vouchers in the DL if you want a drink….
  14. First time to Bermuda so probably a dumb question…. I have some slight mobility issues so I need to know how far it is to the museum and fort? And if far is there a tram or shuttle we can take? Thanks in advance…..
  15. what type of ID will you be using to check in? If it’s a passport which name is it in?
  16. When is your cruise? If it is more than 30 days from now your luggage tags haven’t been released yet…
  17. These children were 5-7yrs old!!! Much too young to have the run of a ship with 6,000 strangers!! My husband is retired law enforcement who has seen a lot so we are not so naive about what can happen!!! We will just have to agree to disagree! Have a good day!!
  18. I didn’t “assume” anything because we saw these children ALL day, EVERY day, all over the ship!! Eating by themselves, riding the elevators by themselves and wandering aimlessly in the Promenade by themselves! There was NEVER one single day where there was EVER an adult in sight so you are the one who doesn’t need to assume it didn’t happen….because it did and the parents/grandparents of these kids needs to be ashamed!!
  19. check with GoPort…..they have packages that will take care of everything including your hotel….
  20. have been taking mine in a pill organizer for years…
  21. We were on the Wonder last month and I was shocked to see how many 5-7yr olds were roaming the ship alone!!! We would see these same little ones every day…..all day…..every where……and never a parent in sight. These ships are like floating cities with people you know nothing about. You can tell little kids not to go into someone’s room all day long but how easy would it be for someone to snatch them into a cabin as they walked down the hall? There were two ladies on an elevator and one said “where in the world is your daughter?” To which the other replied “I don’t know and I don’t care because I am not a parent this week!”. And then they laughed and laughed…😳 I guess I am old school and believe my job as a parent is to take care of my little ones and protect them even when I am on vacation!!!
  22. On the Oasis class ships we book Boardwalk balconies all the time and have never had a problem with noise UNTIL we sailed on the Wonder. On the other ships the latest Aqua show was always over about 10:45 however on this ship they did not start the second show until after 11:00pm so it was almost midnight before it was over and it was LOUD!!! This happened several nights during the week. We had another Boardwalk balcony booked for September and I called and got it changed!!!
