Dumb question, but I assume that is the sanctuary? Didn't realize they had individual TVs. Does it have the same programming as stateroom TVs?

There are folks in here who do not like dissenting opinions about Princess and make it clear that if your experience isn't their experience, you are simply wrong. You have to ignore people like that. We were on the Sky last week. I commented in other threads about some of my concerns, particularly about the cleanliness in the buffet drink area. I did note it on my survey. We had an overall good cruise. Seems like the weather thus week has been way worse, which can make every aspect of the cruise experience seem worse as well.

They all have loyalty perks, but most of Princess are gone now. You still get the laundry, well, if they don't lose some of it, and you get the mini bar and a couple of inexpensive swap options. If you attain loyalty status on other cruise lines, you will get at least similar perks, however watered down they might be.

There was no coke zero on Sky last week. They had sprite zero, but not coke zero.

Just responding to their comment about "delivery not an option". They said in the OP they had it plus were in a suite.

If someone is a casino player, they have other options than cruising to gamble. Most people don't have the option to not fly somewhere. With that said, I'm not a smoker and would prefer smoke free too, but cruise lines know most gamblers smoke.

I don't know, was just responding to the person who said it isn't there this week. Last week while on the walking track when you rounded the back of the ship you would get the smell wafting up from below, so there was a smoking around around the wake pool, but I didn't actually walk down to see if it was on 15 or 16.

If you have a soda package, get you a couple the night before and take to your room for your next morning.

Good for you. Last week there was a designated smoking area right above the wake pool. Glad they moved it. It was also in your face while using the walking track.

My TA told me a while back that Princess told them on a call that 75-80% get a package. If they had another package or a new base package make it a non alcohol AI for $30-35 a day. I would buy that.

We were on this cruise. Got home about 3 hours ago. Overall we had a good time. I see lots of cutbacks, but will save most of that for other days. My biggest complaints were cleanliness issues around the buffet, in particular the coffee and ice availability. The coffee dispensers worked some days and not others. The ice dispensers rarely worked and they bad containers with ice and a scoop. People would just dip their cup into the ice, hand and all, or leave the scoop in the ice and people would go "hunting" for it. Even saw one kid just reach his hand in and grab pieces. Then on day 5 they ran out of iced tea, then this morning we were told they had no half and half. No idea why this happened, but someone commented to me they had been onboard the previous week and had the same issues.

Sitting at airport now after disembarking Sky. Went and got 2 specialty coffee's this morning. I watched the find my medallion on her screen, told her that was me and left. Was checking my account 30 minutes later as we were about to walk off the ship, and they never charged me for them. What was weird to me also was she put in my room number and it popped up 3 people on the screen, my wife, myself and some other face/name I didn't know, but was standing behind me. I had assumed if they enter a room number it would only show them those people, but I guess it still picks up surrounding Medallions. Anyway, if you got charged for my 2 mocha's sorry. I tried to pay.

So we are now at the airport waiting. I mentioned that 2 days ago they ran out of iced tea, and this morning in the buffet, they ran out of half and half and creme for coffee. What is going on with them running out of staple items?

Drink packages separate from the plus with wifi and tips are much higher. Would only get a drink package with plus or premier

Technically you can arrive as early as 9am, but they generally don't let people in the building till 10 or after. It all depends on when they have everything ready in the lounges and are mostly done getting people off the ship.

You have to check your account daily. I had an $11.80 bar charge yesterday and had to go to GS and get it removed. The bartenders don't pay attention sometimes to whose medallion they charge to. I didn't even go up to the bar, but was sitting in a lounger about 10 feet away. On disembarkation day, I check my account before walking off and grab screen shots or print one out in case the emailed one doesn't match.

I'm in your situation. I don't pay it, but I look at it this way. I want people to book suites, buy packages, etc. It's where the profit lies for the cruise line, and at least somewhat allows those of us who choose to cruise more frugally to do so and not take the brunt of outright cruise fate increases. Obviously there is a lot of profit in it, and why the cruise lines push them so hard, and as some point out here they are happy with their perceived value they provide. With that said, I certainly see the cruise lines trying to move to make every customer a higher revenue based customer while lowering their costs. On Sky now, and you can tell lots of cutbacks in food quality, service staff and routine maintenance of things like coffee machines and ice makers. They even ran out of iced tea with 2 days left on our cruise.

We were on earlier this year and other than some carpet and varnish, she was fine. That ship isn't that old.

Well, hope you get better than this week. Ice and coffee machines still broken, find the ice scoop in the bucket like always, and the find out with 2+ days left on our cruise, they are out of iced tea for the rest of the week.

Isn't the whole congestion thing booked well in advance?
