  2. Life could change a lot by then. We may be living in a very different world…. The most I have booked out is 18 months. Rarely just because of a special occasion and the price was right. I will only book that far out onboard. Not giving them my cash for that long, so I use the reduced deposit onboard.
  3. I didn’t find that to be the case at all. I thought Virgin was aesthetically pleasing but not necessarily high quality or comparable to restaurants we frequent at home. I thought Celebrity and Virgin were similar in terms of quality but preferred the more traditional cruise venues of X.
  4. Considering X is not really a family line, I would not expect there to be kids books…
  5. Same. Been sailing with Royal 35 years and came here for a more similar experience. Now it’s nosediving also. Ugh!
  6. I don’t know how I feel about this. History has shown that these cruise lines always pitch their changes as improvements even though they rarely if ever are. Larger portion sizes… but of what? Pasta? Bread? Time will tell.

  15. So disappointed in Celebrity. They have completely lost their way. Identity crisis at its finest. Luxury but cheap. Upscale dining but tilapia.
  16. Good timing- the Celebrity Equinox is also on a budget now apparently. The menus in the MDR were cut again as of Sunday. Check out the thread- entrees of a cheeseburger, tilapia, couscous, etc. All kidding aside, I just got off and it was a good trip. But if you are not happy with the food, please make it known on your survey and to the head waiter. Enjoy your trip
  17. Omg. I hope not. They look like they’re cut right off of a chub. I absolutely die when I see the advertising photos and videos featuring great looking burgers from the mast grill. In reality it’s like a high school football concession stand LOL.
  18. One of the worst and most restrictive credit cards for travel rewards. Go with another option.
  19. The crumbs and pubic hair incident actually did happen on the Serenade this year. I called guest services immediately. They said somebody would be up to clean. About two hours later I went down because it was not yet cleaned. Rather than apologizing, they said they had no record of me calling and that I must have called somebody else. A cleaning manager came up to the room to inspect and said “I am here to inspect your stateroom, I heard there was a little dust in your cabin”. I emphatically told him no, there was pubic hair on the floor, in a hand towel, and crumbs on the floor beside the bed. He half heartedly apologized and somebody came to clean it. That was the last I ever heard of it. It really made me wonder if they even vacuum or just pick up the big pieces. Much less the level of “cleaning” they are doing.
  20. Helpful point! I’ll make sure to ask the cabin attendant to remove unwanted pubic hair from the bathroom floor and crumbs from the previous passengers next time I board.
