  1. Did you get your MRI ? nosey I am. You don’t need to reply. I’m thinking about you and sending your good thoughts and well wishes.
  2. My pajamas are really nice lol. They are definitely dinner Pajamas. I thought I replied earlier but I didn’t so I’ll say: thank you to everyone who replied. It didn’t occur to me that YTD would be full also, and I did think I could be an unofficial substitute if someone else in the group drops out. I need to make a group post and ask if they all have different tables or what. My dog sitter just dropped out so now I have a scramble on this.
  3. Hi, all. As I have mentioned, at the time I booked, I was able to snag the last cabin on the cruise. Then it sold out and went offline. We are going with a large group and they all have early dining. We were wait listed and assigned late dining, which I’m not going to do. Does Glory have an anytime dining room? Thanks. I haven’t started packing yet (hope today), so I’m a bit chaotic… I received an email in the last day or so reaffirming that I can’t get early dining and I’m stuck with late.
  4. Thanks, everyone. I don’t expect much, so I’m bringing some old fashioned books. 😉
  5. I’ve never done an inside or an ocean view. I wouldn’t be opposed to one, and will likely try it out at some point. I love a balcony though and I spend a lot of time out on mine
  6. Nice. As I said, mine was still a deal so it was still worth paying double. If I went solo again, I would absolutely look for one with less than 100% single supplement. Why not? It makes good sense.
  7. Thanks! We are both really excited. I’ve been to Vancouver before, but not anywhere else in Canada, so I’m really looking forward to it. DH has never been to Canada.
  8. I paid double when I went solo to Alaska in September on HAL but it was very last minute so still a deal. That is also late season though so it’s a generally discounted time to sail.
  9. Don’t even get me started, but yes, he should be paying. It’s a thing. This is the end of it. It’s been a group effort. It needs to happen.
  10. Thank you. I just found it and will add it for the archives. A Thalassotherapy Pool is featured on Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Magic, Carnival Splendor and Mardi Gras. A large hot tub spa is featured on Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama and Carnival Vista.
  11. Put it this way, my sister is flying in at the latter half of January and I have suggested she find an alternate airlines. I don’t trust WN’s system to hold even if it gets fixed. It’s antiquated.
  12. Sorry so many questions. I’m having a flair and my brain isn’t working correctly. I’m also having trouble navigating the carnival website. Has anyone done the just try it acupuncture? Comments? does Glory have the warm water therapy pool? remind me never to book another cruise right after Christmas. I haven’t even begin packing and I have to be in Nola on sunday.
  13. The southwest board on Reddit is a pretty interesting read. Some people were rebooked today but not until 1/13/23 so I think the issues will be prolonged. OTOH, it seems a few people reported getting out today but with half full planes, so they suggest if you get stranded, put yourself on the standby list. Also, if checking luggage, buy AirTags.
  14. Well, and I have to face facts that I now have preexisting conditions. 😬 I’m going to have to start paying better attention
  15. I guess what I’m asking is: does Spotify work with the premium plan? A lot of times they say it will but then it doesn’t.
  16. To clarify, I’ve been on Dream twice lol, so I don’t HATE it. The first time we had a balcony on deck 7 so imagine how frustrated and aggravated I was, thinking I was going to meditate nightly looking at the ocean only to get blinded by the deck lights. The second time we had a cove balcony and it was MUCH nicer. Dream also has Tandoor so if you like Indian food, you can enjoy.
  17. Great information, Mary. This has been a very helpful post, thanks.
  18. I’m going with my 20something so he wants the works but I think internet at sea has limitations even with the best package. @hey-buc idk but it’s a 6 day also, which I though was weird. (It’s a group cruise so I didn’t plan it )
  19. Ok. I guess since I have private insurance that I never thought to use trip insurance for medical. I get trip insurance for repatriation of remains (gross but I know someone who died on a trip in India when their bus fell off a mountain), medical evac and trip delay and interruption.
  20. Yes, it occurred to me today that for 2022 and 2023, I would have done better with a yearly plan.
