  1. We stayed in 12248 described as having large balcony but frankly don't remember how big it was vs. standard. We like deck 12. Have also stayed on deck 11 and it was fine. I would simply recommend selecting a deck with staterooms above and below, and mid-ship if possible.
  2. I don't think his flamboyance is the issue. He selects someone from the audience (normally a woman) and asks about where she lives, the # of bedrooms, if the kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, etc. Some people may not be finding it "funny," but rather insulting or denigrating.
  3. Interesting! We mentioned him to the CD on Liberty (who was previously the CD on Anthem) and the CD indicated he wanted Royal HQ to get Perry Grant on board. No question he attracts a crowd each night.
  4. We babysat our 6 month old granddaughter in Manhattan Friday evening while our DIL went with friends to the Taylor Swift concert. Our son was out-of-country. We got a kick out of how dressed up DIL and friends were. They got back at 2AM and we walked 15 blocks at great speed with our city "radar" up back to our car. Ha. Drove home without issue to New Jersey. And in honor of US Memorial Day. This is for my uncle who I never knew. Killed in the Battle of the Bulge, WW2.
  5. Not necessarily always. You can request to be at same table or in same section. It may be available. There is also an effort to sit you in same section. However, you can also request a different section / waiters if you wish to .... or if the section you sat in previously is full, you might end up elsewhere in the MDR.
  6. We enjoyed the RCI Emotions AI excursion just earlier this month. Lovely place with pools and beach. Lunch was included and it was quite extensive. Some drinks were also included. There were some local vendors on the beach, but you could simply say "no, thank you." No snorkeling involved. Enjoy whatever you do!
  7. Yes, drinks ordered in the Diamond Lounge use vouchers. Assume that is what you mean.
  8. On very recent Liberty cruise, the drink of the day was as Biker says highlighted (with description) in the daily Compass. There was also a sign at most/all bars. Here were some of the drinks: Port Side Punch Dark&Stormy Goombay Smash Mai Tai Blue Hawaiian Michelada Bahama Mama Rum Runner
  9. Captain on May 4th 2023 Liberty cruise was Captain Mal.
  10. Just off Liberty. No one ever asked for a card, but every photographer asked for the room number.
  11. Thanks. I think there are some Liberty 9 nights in May and June 2024 They do one night in Bermuda and then other ports.
  12. It was a little cool, but plenty warm in the sun. We had a brief rain shower, but it came and went. We have been to Bermuda quite a few times, so decided to do Elbow Beach (had been there many years ago.) Took the bus there. Water gorgeous.
  13. Hi all. Just returned from Liberty of the Seas, 9 nights from Cape Liberty NJ to Bermuda, Labadee, and two stops in the Dominican Republic. First Liberty sailing from NJ since I think 2015. Our first experience with this class. Loved having the Viking Crown. We did not find the new MDR menus as bad as described in other threads. Missed the Apple Blossom dessert. Appetizers were good and managed to find an acceptable entree each evening. My husband's food could have been hotter a couple times. Ate dinner 5 nights in MDR, 3 specialty, 1 Windjammer. All breakfasts and lunches in Windjammer. Saturday Night Fever was outstanding. This coming from people who do not enjoy most shows. Also loved the ice show (we went twice). Had one disappointing excursion (Saona Island from La Romana, DR.) Unfortunately, debarkation was lengthy and chaotic. Did not matter for us as we only had about a 45 minute drive home. Felt bad for others. Departure: Arriving at Bermuda: Arriving home:
  14. My husband has a favorite drink that he requests that is his variation on a Manhattan. It includes the normal rye (your favorite brand), 1/2 the normal vermouth, and the other 1/2 (instead of vermouth).... Grand Marnier. He calls it the New Old Manhattan. πŸ˜‰
  15. You do not need a reserved time. You can go anytime that they are open for My Time Dining and get on the "no reservation" line. You may have to wait a bit. How long you have to wait can vary day-to-day. Enjoy your cruise.
  16. So, sign in to RC. Within the specific cruise either click Internet and you should see the word Reserved on Voom Surf & Stream OR click on your initials in upper right and click on Order History. Open each item. One item listed should be Voom Surf & Stream. Hope that helps. Enjoy your cruise.
  17. We submitted for renewal via new (pilot) online process Jan 19/20. We did not pay for any expediting. We received the new passports about 9 days ago .... almost 12 weeks vs. the original 5-9 weeks indicated as the expectation (at that time).
  18. Went to the NY Mets baseball game today. Beautiful day for major league baseball at 80 plus degrees F. I have been to many April games wearing a winter coat, hat, blanket, etc. I love baseball! We had two of our grandchildren with us. Our grandson is 5, a couple weeks shy of 6, and our 4 year old granddaughter. They loved screaming when the big screen said to "get loud," eating lots of stuff, and yelling Let's go Mets! Lots of fun. Best to all.
  19. There are tons of free lounge chairs and umbrellas at South Beach. Enjoy your cruise!
  20. Outstanding. He never disappoints. We bought the tickets last November. This year he is doing "smaller" venues instead of stadiums. Ha.
  21. Went to (another) Kenny Chesney concert last night. Mohegan Sun, Connecticut. Kelsea Ballerini was the opening act. Whole thing was really fun, as usual. Happy Easter!
  22. We had a CP balcony on Harmony (deck 11) and did not have issues with noise. Music in CP tends to be peaceful/soft in my experience.
  23. We have only done one CP balcony. It was on Harmony and we really enjoyed it. We tend to like higher decks, but ensure only staterooms above and below us. We were on 11th deck. Enjoy!
  24. Our most recent Anthem/Cape Liberty experience was that we had the earliest check-in time, but no one was verifying it. We went through the check-in process and then were seated in a large seating area. Once the go-ahead was given, they had us get up row by row to proceed to the ship. We have had varying experiences in the past there including where someone was outside calling for cruisers to check-in by time slot. Enjoy your cruise!
