  1. There’s also an Abbott Expiration Date extension letter for part # 195-000, so I expect there might be a similar one for your 195-100 kits, but I haven’t found it yet. Here’s the link to the 195-000 Part Numbers: https://www.health.nd.gov/sites/www/files/documents/Webpage Updates/COVID-19_BinaxNOW_Product_Expiry_Extension.pdf
  2. We ordered on Sat evening, 8/28/21. At 11:57 pm Sat, got “Thanks for your order”/order received email. Sunday 2pm “Your order has been approved” email came in. “EMed Order Shipped” email with FedEx tracking came on Monday, 8/30 at 8pm. Shipped Monday. Received Tues morning 8/31. I also ordered the 6-pack from eMed for my son and his fiancée. 9/1 Wednesday about Noon, placed order 9/2 ~ 4 am Thurs “Thanks for your order” email 9/2 8am Thurs “Order approved” email 9/2 4pm Thurs “Order Shipped” with FedEx tracking info 9/3 Currently showing on a FedEx Vehicle for delivery. Conclusion is that it been taking 2 business days from order if you count Sat as a business day.
  3. I think the problem is that the original Expiration date was supposed to be 9 mos from manufacture — so 11/5/21 from 2/5/21, but they somehow marked them with 10/5/21 exp dates (only 8 mos out) and then added a 3 mo extension to that incorrect date. I plan to ask the Exp date when we take our tests for the 10/30 cruise, and see what date shows up for the NAVICA tester. I didn’t bother writing to eMed. My email was to Abbott. I’ll report back what I’m told
  4. I actually just found this letter from the FDA on the eMed website dated April 6, 2021. It clearly says the expiration dates are extended to 12 months from manufacture date. I’m only somewhat reassured since maybe they had the dates programmed wrong in their system — based on the apparently erroneous info on the May 2021 sheet. Why can’t anything be straightforward and stress-free when trying to jump through these Covid hoop? Sheesh!
  5. Thanks for the info. The header says exp dates extended for up to 12 mos (from date of manufacture), but my lot number says 2/5/21 production date expires on 1/5/2022. If so, that’s upsetting to me. Don’t really want 6 kits for just one cruise. Will have to follow up on this with eMed. Jane PS I wrote to the contact email on that Abbott letter.
  6. My eMed 6 pack of tests were registered in my name and my husbands. None of the kits had any kind of stickers on them with our names or even expiration dates printed on them that I could see. The case box they were shipped in does have this list sticker on the outside: Hope it’s safe to assume that 2021-02-05 was the manufacture date and that 2021-10-05 is the original expiration date. I guess I need to contact eMed to confirm. We need for 10/30 and 2/4 cruises. I can also check the Lot # against the list on the sheet showing the lots that were extended to have a 12 mo exp date from date of manufacture. Jane Added info. Found this key for the symbols on label: That should mean 1 year exp date would be 2/5/22
  7. I’m not 100% certain this is the latest update. It was « updated July 6th, 2021»: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html Excerpt from « Required Testing before Air Travel to the US » « If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States (US) and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel). »
  8. Thank you SO much for posting about this! We wish you a rapid and complete recovery from any symptoms. To everybody: Please, let’s not get this thread locked by arguing about various statistics. I’d really appreciate being able to see updates from OP about how things are resolved. Plenty of other places to discuss that. Jane
  9. I recently received an email from MedJet that they have expanded coverage for Covid Evacuations. Here’s an excerpt: « As of July 12, 2021, Medjet is now transporting members hospitalized with Covid-19, while traveling GLOBALLY (as well as domestically), to a hospital of their choice at home. This expanded benefit is at no additional cost to our members, and is applicable to both existing and new MedjetAssist and MedjetHorizon memberships. »
  10. Now that’s amusing. It would depend which person you got on the phone what answer they would make up.
  11. Any idea why Royal Caribbean canceled the San Juan port call for 10/30/21 Symphony OTS cruise and others? I understand why they canceled Labadee, Haiti after their president was assassinated. Just don’t know why they also canceled San Juan.
  12. Sounds like a programming issue to me. There should be no gratuity or tax on that package in my experience. I suggest you (ugh) call them.
  13. Could “restricted passenger voyages” mean something like travel agents or invited guests only? I don’t think it sounds like they just mean reduced capacity. Jane
  14. Not that unusual, from what I understand. Refrigerated compartment = morgue, I bet. Still extremely sad.
  15. Phew! That’s got to be well over the 6 foot distance not to count as “close contact”
  16. We *almost* got to meet on her first Royal Caribbean Cruise, but it was ill-fated. There was some sort of airline employee (baggage handlers??) strike out of Philadelphia, so Carol’s family missed that cruise. Believe it was a PVSA issue that precluded them boarding at our first port: Key West (if I recall correctly).
  17. That would seem logical to me, but who knows how this will be implemented
  18. Yikes, Carol! Hope you don’t have any cruises booked within the next 15 days.
  19. You need to click on the link and read the restrictions referred to in the excerpt I quoted. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/anthem-of-the-seas-updates
  20. Per the 6pm update, ”...All guests who are denied boarding due to these restrictions will receive full refunds....” From here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/anthem-of-the-seas-updates
  21. Check out the 6pm update here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/anthem-of-the-seas-updates Excerpt... ”...All guests who are denied boarding due to these restrictions will receive full refunds...”
  22. For what it’s worth, this is what the compass on my iPhone shows as of 11 mins ago (7:10AM EST)
  23. The seas are still oddly calm this morning. According to the cartoonish map on the navigation channel, for what it’s worth, we are WNW of Jamaica and still on a trajectory for George Town,. Here are pics/Video clip. The sunrise is spectacular! Jane C8FD7611-8F13-4C03-A3DD-D8DF249A6969.MOV
