  1. So using your standards Julia Child couldn't possibly have made acceptable French food ???
  2. Everyone with GE has TSA PreCheck . The OP's question was whether he could use TSA PreCheck when he only had conditional approval for GE, not final approval.
  3. Wouldn't the officer be concerned that the person in question won't actually board their flight and instead choose to stay in Canada illegally? If so is it possible that the individual would be taken to the airport in the custody of law enforcement to ensure they actually board their flight?
  4. FYI, Oceania's world cruises are on Insignia, not Nautica. If someone is on the full Oceania ATW a full visa package is included, so it's unlikely the OP is on that cruise as they would likely know that all necessary visas can be obtained through the visa service contracted by Oceania. Even if they are only on a segment they can pay Oceania's visa service provider to get the proper visa.
  5. Of course they can get one, but that doesn't mean they actually have gotten one.
  6. Not everyone has a bank account: https://www.fdic.gov/analysis/household-survey/index.html#:~:text=An estimated 4.5 percent of,a bank or credit union. "An estimated 4.5 percent of U.S. households (approximately 5.9 million) were “unbanked” in 2021, meaning that no one in the household had a checking or savings account at a bank or credit union."
  7. It's open seating. Arrive whenever you wish during dining hours. You can request an individual table or to share a table with others when you arrive at the dining room.
  8. A matter of opinion of course, but we don't like the sea bass in Le Bistro one bit, but we do like the Dover sole. I agree...I often order it often.
  9. My wife often has seafood in Cagney's and hasn't had an issue with it.
  10. The usual base fare for a solo on NCL is equal to the base fare for two. They have been offering some cruises with no solo supplement recently to fill unsold cabins.
  11. Look at the OP's first post , which I've quoted above yours.
  12. The main dining rooms always have fish available for dinner.
  13. There are two or three seafood entrees on the Cagney's menu.
  14. I'm sure @psacwas referring to the Haven restaurant, where there is no upcharge for lobster tails.
  15. On ships built after the Gem...in other words from the Epic onward, there is a separate Haven restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for Haven passengers, Breakfast and lunch on those ships is not served in Moderno and Cagney's .
  16. I was "a future responsible adult" who grew up in NY City and had no need to drive as I could take mass transit almost everywhere, so I didn't get a drivers license until I was 22 and had moved to the suburbs. How about a young person who has physical or intellectual challenges and can't drive? A school ID probably would suffice for their other ID needs, but a school ID isn't valid for cruising.
  17. Given that it hasn't run for several years I wouldn't spend any time building plans around using the trolleys.
  18. That's not the distance to Pier 88, which is located at W 48th St. The map is showing the distance to Pier 92/94, which is located at W 54th St. You're getting that result because you input "Manhattan Cruise Terminal" into your search, and Google Maps is using the office mailing address of the cruise terminal, which is 711 12th Ave.
  19. The Circle Line is located at Pier 83, West 42nd - 43rd St. and 12th Ave, so it's only 5 blocks south...about 1/4 mile...from Pier 88 where NCL ships dock.
  20. The tickets are good on all public buses and ferries. It's single ticket for any ride...Hamilton to Dockyard by either bus or ferry would cost a single ticket. FYI the bus ride from Hamilton to Dockyard takes about an hour, while the ferry takes half that time or less. I do admit to using the bus years ago as an informal sightseeing trip but normally I take the ferry. Do the math to see what works out best for you based on your travel plans...individual ride tokens at $4.50 each, a 15 ticket book for $37.50, an one day adult unlimited pass at $19 per person or a two day unlimited pass at $31.50 per person (the latter unlikely to be a good choice for a day and a half ).
  21. NCL's San Juan-based cruises use Pan American pier. The information can be found on ncl.com: https://www.ncl.com/getting-to-the-pier/driving-directions#!#sanjuan Name/Location of Pier Panamerican Pier Dock 1 or East
  22. Viking includes beer and wine with lunch and dinner. Oceania fare always includes internet.
  23. There's absolutely no way NCL would be interested NCL needs to hold on to every penny of its cash on hand right now. It can't fill the ships it already has sailing so the last thing it needs right now is additional capacity. NCL also has sister ships to the recently-launched Prima on order...ships of its own design, not a ship that would require extensive and expensive redoing to meet NCL's requirements.
