  1. We sail Sept 23rd. Have a great trip and let us know how it goes for you!
  2. Would love feedback on my Amber Cove port day. Our group of 6 arrives at the AC port and were planning to sightsee first…Umbrella St., Pink St., lil shopping. And then would like to maybe go to Sosua Beach. I’ve seen taxi prices from the port, yet was curious how we would catch a taxi when sightseeing in “town” or when at the beach? Are there plenty of taxis around? I’m nervous about being stranded at a beach without a return taxi back to port. And I’m not interested in local excursions because they tend to be 5 hours and we would like more time at the beach. Any advice is appreciated! We are going in 3 weeks!
  3. Hi all! Few random questions I haven’t found answers for yet. 1-Are you allowed to take food off the ship (deli sandwich..) in the ports? 2-Do you have to have closed toe shoes for the water slide? Thanks in advance!
  4. I apologize that I don’t have time to search the thread, but are the AARP cards physical or e-cards? Thanks in advance!!
  5. Hi! I’m looking for a Nassau dolphin excursion and don’t really want to do one sponsored through Carnival. Has anyone done one in Nassau through independent vendors? Thanks in advance!
  6. So, if I'm cruising out on a Saturday, I can check in at midnight (EC) on Friday night, 14 days before? Just want to make sure... Thanks!
  7. Can someone remind me when we are able to check in?
  8. I renewed through an AARP this morning and it showed on my cc 2x this morning. I'm on phone now with the third person! Has this happened to anyone else? My account is still showing expired online!
  9. What's your thoughts on this... If I were to sign up today, and ordered cards today, would I possibly receive them today? My daughter JUST decided she wants to go on the cruise I booked months ago, and I have a hold on a cabin for her that expires today. It's in Sept., so we are fully paid on our other cabins.
  10. Bruster’s homemade ice cream: 1. Dark chocolate raspberry truffle 2. Butter pecan Ben & Jerry’s: Chunky Monkey- banana ice cream with dark chocolate chunks and walnuts
  11. The Marriott hotels in that promotion are typically $300+ a night, even in off season. So, the free cruise parking may not be a great deal, depending on where you would typically stay. I travel a lot and stay at Marriott 99% of the time, but am unwilling to pay that amount per night for a basic hotel.
  12. We ate there a few years ago, before a cruise. It was great, loved the fish tacos! Everyone in our large group loved their meals. It’s right on the beach, and pretty rough looking, but the food made up for it!
  13. You're right! Hope to score on the gift cards...
  14. Thanks for the info on the daily getaways! I have never heard of it, but have already set alarms to try to purchase some Marriott points when they go on sale!
  15. Does anyone have the Carnival credit card? I just got it and am trying to determine if it’s a better deal to use it to pay off the cruise (earn points), or to buy gift cards that can save 10%? I don’t know details of their point program, so any help is appreciated!
  16. I will be on MG for the first time, and have been trying to decide if we should try YTD. We are usually late seaters, but there are so many restaurant options, I'm thinking it may be best to try YTD for a change. Am I able to change the dining option online, or would I have to call?
