  1. That would be a great use of the area. There wouldn't be any shade/sun loungers so the lounger placements to have the best views would be the selling point. Serivce in the Sanctuary would still be appealing. Keeping the bar and the pool for all to use would make sense. Guess the drawback would be noise from the pool drifting into the sanctuary area. T
  2. We just did 40 days on the Majestic. The 1st 10 was sold out with Aussie kids on break. I thought it would be a zoo in there with those crazy musical instruments. It actually was usually quiet. The cabanas were usually filled, but not by hogs in the early morning. A lot of tables forward that were used for cards and other games. I personally didn't find the chlorine smell too bad. Had several bad sea days where the space came in handy as it was really windy outside. I enjoy the fresh air so I didn't spend much time in there, but did like walking through and looking out over the bow. We enjoyed the noodle bar, too bad it's going to be replaced. The Harmony was OK, nothing spectacular so it being replaced isn't going to be that big of a deal. I would sail on her again , but will need to see what will happens in drydock. Making the whole Hollywood area a sanctuary would take away a pool and leave only the one to everyone else.
  3. Haven't yet found a International flight that could beat my Interline benefits.
  4. What don't you understand? Yes I booked it last year. Then I rebooked it 2 weeks ago after I did a refare and Princess couldn't transfer the excursion. Now I point out that the excursion price is the same after Princess says that the "Price reflects discount". What is your point ? There is NO discount and it can be booked today for the same price I booked, TWICE. What's the point of the email stating 20% off. Seems you know more than I do about simple math. Is it due to your "Altered State"?. Please share.
  5. May 14th I had to rebook excursion. So 2weeks. What do you think?
  6. I received an email last night for 20% off on excursions on our October 2024 Coral Princess Transpacific cruise. We're not big fans of big bus herd excursions and usually stay away from ship offered ones. One of our stops is in Hong Kong and after some research I'd decided that the Hoho Bus was best booked through Princess. I booked the excursion last year for $78.00pp. I re-fared our cruise 2 weeks ago and got a good discount. By doing so our excursion was refunded and I had to rebook it. I got my refund and rebooked it for $78.00pp. I looked today at the excursion after getting the email and it seems Princess was so kind to me to give me the 20% off last year. The price with the 20% discount is..............$78.00pp.
  7. Were you dropped off near the Dam Market? If not, did you go there and if you did would you recommend going there? Mahalo
  8. We were on same cruise and really liked R520. Quiet and less traffic with the suites and lounge on the floor.
  9. Pre Medallion would have been better. I assumed most know that the medallion knows all.
  10. I started by saying "awhile back" or pre-medallion might have been better.
  11. We had R231 on the Regal for a TA and R520 recently for a TP on the Majestic. LOVED deck 14. R231 was very close to the forward elevators and stairs. R520 was close to the laundry and mid elevators and stairs. The fwd cabin had a booming sound when we were in rough seas and 520 was mid aft so there was no real movement when it was rough. 2 floors up to the Lido deck, perfect. As far as ride is concerned, it all depends what type of ride you prefer. On Grand/Crown Class ships we always try to get the farthest aft port or starboard mini on deck 8, those cabins get the yawing movement. The fwd room had more of a pitch movement to it, but I think the Royal class ships handle the rough seas so much better. For us the more motion, the better we sleep.
  12. Awhile back I handed an envelope to our waiter and assistant and they wanted our cabin number. I asked "why". They told us that if we had opted out of the added gratuities, they were obligated to turn over the cash to be pooled. I now just put my cabin number on the tip if I'm giving an envelope. This last cruise there was a lot of crew turnover. I gave crew members leaving separate tips and said it wasn't a tip, but me buying them a drink before their flight.
  13. On our TA last Sept I couldn't get cards anywhere. Gift store was sold out, none at the casino. Asked our room steward and he was able to get us a deck. Said he "stole" them. Gave him a good tip for getting them for us.
  14. My wife's favorite is Capricciosa Pizza and that was available from room service for $8.50 or $10.18 with the gratuity added. It was always very good.
  15. We just finished 40 days aboard the Majestic. I loved the noodle bar, but Harmony was just so-so. The service in Harmony was excellent but the food was on the vanilla side. Not really great Chinese food, but not Panda Express. I'm glad we got to sail on her before and "if" the Hollywood area is changed to a paid Sanctuary. That would cut out a pool and leave just one for all the passengers that don't feel like paying for the area. On our cruise, the first leg was sold out and had kids on break. The pool areas never seemed crowded. I'm not a fan of inside pool areas, but did like walking through the Hollywood and being able to view out over the bow. I can see removing the musical instruments and blocking off the forward area but taking away the pool and jacuzzis would really be bad.
  16. Maybe a charter? We board her in Southampton on 05/22 after the planned 23day cruise on 04/29.
  17. It was on the MUTS screen every morning on the Majestic.
  18. Only gelato option on the Majestic. My wife would have it with ONLY gelato. Interesting was that the chocolate rim coating didn't melt outside in Queensland.
  19. Misread, it was only the peel. My thought was why mess with them.
  20. We did a 28 day South Pacific on the Crown in E730 and Club Fusion wasn't used that many nights. Late night entertainment was in Skywalkers.
  21. On the Majestic we arrived at 3am for the tides.
  22. Oh how I wish they'd change over the Bayou on the Coral and the Island to a Churrascaria.
  23. A very good tool to have when on a private excursion is the port information you can get from your in room TV or one of the hall boards near an elevator. If a problem with your arrival time back to the ship occurs you can call the local ship agent and advise them of your updated return time and they could possibly help.
  24. Our favorite cabin on the Grand/Crown class ships is the farthest aft Emerald deck mini suites. We have cruised in these cabins several times, and have 2 coming up. Recently we've sailed on Royal class ships in mid forward cabins. I've found the difference to be the more pitching movement and the banging of the swells in the fwd, as compared to the yawing motion in the aft. If we chose a balcony cabin, we prefer a Caribe deck room for the larger balcony.
