  1. Yes both arrived safely and when we got off not a taxi in site we waited ages and eventually shared a van with 2 other families but the 'taxi van' charged 20 per person to Central but did not tell us until we had left the docks
  2. Just got off Pacific Explorer and although we offered it twice they did not seem at all interested in our Rats it was a non event Masks were more than recommended but still people ignored it glad there was only 50% occupancy on board
  3. I have everything downloaded on the app but cannot find a place for speciality dining and I want the first night steak meal with complimentary wine Any suggestions please
  4. You can spend it in any shop or for photos etc and no it would be difficult to gift it to staff as tips as it is not cash Duty free can be bought and bingo or casino use of course and if you won lots then you could cash it out and give it as tips if you wanted
  5. Most medical centres have covid testing but you need to make a booking on line google the nearest to the hotel/quay

What makes it worse for me is that a incorrectly working body thermostat means I need the water to be at least 28 degrees and when we got a warm day or even 2 the rain previously had made even the heated pool too cold The last time I swam was on Christmas day when visiting relatives in Sunderland
  7. Just need swim it has been so cold for a whole 12 months here in NSW that our pool has not been used just being a nuisance to keep clean and fresh
  8. Yes we have several times both as the Dawn Princes and as Pacific Explorer I love the sun class ships (rip) I do hope we have good weather I am hoping to get a quick swim in if it is warm enough
  9. No complaint about NSW trains from Southern Highlands to Circular Quay One change at Macarthur and settle back for the ride $2.50 return

Visited the new airport and asked that question about private cost and was advised that at present the airport train line would be on the sydney transport ownership and no extra levy required!!!!! Just to backtrack the OP advised their senior card had expired? Ours does not need renewing is this a Queensland thing??

  12. I think the charge is not for printing but for using a credit card as they say it will get a surcharge
  13. That is correct without that concession it would be easier4 to use a debit card but $2.50 for all day is a good deal (plus of course the Airport private sur charge)
  14. Receptionist just asked if we had symptoms and I said no it was for travel and she said ok but if you do develop symptoms phone us and stay outside in the car!!! Live in Southern Highlands
  15. I have a choice of 4 places who just make the appointment and there is no cost used it for the Coral cruise a couple of weeks ago and made appointment for next week before our P&O cruise no cost and no hassle we are in NSW

On the Coral last month the masks were very fully mandated and staff carried boxes around for anyone who was not wearing one I never saw any tables outside rooms and there was very little coughing in the theatre etc The staff were very diligent ensuring people obeyed the rules and washed before entering the buffet etc This appears to be an Australian well organised regulation as it was the complete opposite on the Sky Princess from UK in July
  19. Have e mailed you but so many of the posts recently regarding embarkation on USA port has been catastrophic and the mask wearing mandate not upheld with, of course the covid outbreaks. As this happened islands like Tahiti decided it was too great a risk and closed their doors for the time being. The masks were dilligently pushed (with staff carrying around boxes for those who "forgot" and I believe the cruise was covid 'free' We are on the Majestic in January so hope they have their problems sorted out by then
  20. You also get faster check in priority tender line and a once refrigerator fill which is still done If you got the old loyalty benefit which starts at 21 cruises you would obviously be elite which comes in at 15 cruises

You very lucky people Here in Australia we do not get these offers much and when you do we cannot just refare and change we always lose the deposit or find that the $1 deposit is a holding one and a month later they want the full deposit to be paid asap Like paying a surcharge on using a credit card we are treated like 2nd class citizens in the cruise industry
