  1. Just gone into dine my way to book this on 27th Feb to see that the price offered is $52.60 per adult when did this happen Is this perhaps why I could not book it yesterday?
  2. Not really the meat is of a much better quality and cut an the sides and service are excellent I know you would pay twice this in Sydney for a 2 course meal and the speciality restaurant is a 3 course one
  3. Thank you everyone for your replies $40 aud is a little more than I had expected as Carnival is $29 aud still but I may treat us anyway
  4. This may be the grub that passed his germs on to my husband who was isolated for 6 days and then on to me for the last 2 days Selfish is a nice word for the likes of him
  5. Thanks I had hoped it was $28 as I saw this on the Princess site but probably US$
  6. In Australian based cruises what is the cost of the crown grill (Majestic princess)
  7. Crown Grill (specialty) was once again the highlight of our dining. We both agree that our previous cruise grill meal on Coral was a bit better. Perhaps I had leftover US steak bit I can't be sure of that. Everything was suitably wonderful, but had less flavour than for our previous cruise. Still Sounds great How much was this meal please
  8. probably not it would not look good against my tiara
  9. Does the Carnival Splendor have this restaurant and if so is it open on embarkation day
  10. Sort of lost count including all river and other companies about 75 I think 45 Captains Circle count but of course as there is no longer loyalty credit it does not matter Thanks for your good wishes have a Happy Christmas Yvonne
  11. so sad thoughts go to her family and friends and the poor staff who have to keep looking
  12. Thanks everyone As DH does not have a jacket (other than the tux) would just a shirt and tie be acceptable
  13. How many elegant/formal/chic nights on a 12 day Carnival cruise and how formal are they now DH happy to use tux but will not pack it if no one wears them on Carnival Australia these days
  14. The web site says if in AUD no gratuities (we are going from England to Australia next year and AUD on board NO GRATUITIES
  15. The NZ cruise was the one we were on and it was a full ship not just 900 passengers I am not sure where you got that number from The Captain advised a ship complement of passengers of 3280
  16. I am surprised at the OP comments we left Majestic last week and never were anyone allowed near the self service tea and coffee machines we always had to have a server do the necessary even mixing my coffee tubes I bring I also noted they filled cruisers flasks for them by using cups as a half way container How can this have changed so quickly??
  17. No 100% sure about buckets of beer but I THINK so however to my knowledge no happy hour on P&O Buying cards for drinks is always subjective how many do you normally drink and are there a lot of sea days or port days to make the quite high cost worth while?
  18. Just disembarked from Majestic while still in last 2 isolation days They took our embarkation cards and did not give us luggage tags They said they would take us all off together after everyone else had gone BUT later that night I was given luggage tags to be the FIRST off and we completed NEW cards when we reached the emigration/customs table No problems just different information which changed to our benefit as we had an early train to catch
  19. No I disagree Punctuality is STILL a politeness and cruisers coming in late and faffing abut trying to find their friends or a seat are disruptive to the audience and the entertainer not cool at all. Reserved seats should be released at least 7/10 minutes before the show commences
  20. Thanks that must be the reason but we were given first off yellow 1 and had to complete another form as they had not been passed over but all good and home by 10.55 Happy Dance now laundry (as could not send any after being tested positive as they use HOT water for covid people's laundry)
  21. We were on the Majestic and the test everyone had to take found my DH as Positive but he had no symptoms and then after isolation on the next time we were needed to test I was positive so only had 2 days of isolation. Also no symptoms It is obvious they testing everyone is an excellent idea and we had to show our cabin steward the test results so no cheating
