  1. I chose the "Alina" option instead of "Plaid" (SIC on Alina, can't remember the exact name) and I wasn't asked for any passwords. Try that to see it it works better for you. By the way I figured out that you have to enable notifications too. That could be why I didn't get notified that my uploaded brokerage statement was accepted.
  2. I didn't get a notification from the app but I went back a couple of screens where you select Princess and then upload your brokerage statement. But instead it gave me the redeem screen where I entered my cruise. Got the up to 5 day response. So it's still a bit glitchy but at least I think I'm on track to get my SHOBC.
  3. Lucky you! I'm still waiting for the app to approve the redacted brokerage statement that I submitted yesterday. I may need to find another way to get this done if the app doesn't update. At least I have some time as the cruise isn't until next April.
  4. Yes, well they didn't use that exact verbiage but it was implied after they returned the documents that I had submitted via email to me. Text of the email is posted below, it's the same as someone posted earlier today: Dear azbirdmom, Thank you for your request for an onboard credit as part of the Carnival Corp & plc. Shareholder Benefit Program. Carnival Corp is implementing a more automated onboard credit request process in partnership with Stockperks. Please go to www.stockperks.com/carnivalcorp for all details about the program and how to apply for your onboard credit via the Stockperks app. Thank you for being a CCL shareholder! We look forward to welcoming you aboard. Kind regards, Ana Commercial Compliance Support 24303 Town Center Drive Santa Clarita, CA 91355
  5. Add me to the group that got the response that I had to request through the app. Had to open the email that I'd sent from my laptop on my phone to download the redacted brokerage statement page so a little bit of a headache but hopefully it works. If going forward it will just take a couple of clicks to get my shareholder OBC applied it will be a plus.
  6. Belated happy anniversary but I know you will keep on celebrating throughout the cruise. Enjoy every minute.
  7. They are also strict about wooden items brought into Australia. When we came back from our Fiji cruise we had to declare some carvings we bought. Our's were purchased from Jack's and had stickers on them so we were waved on. Others weren't as fortunate and bought them from local vendors. They were confiscated. We also knew to put them in our carry-on luggage, can't remember if Princess told us beforehand or if it was something that I picked up while preparing for our trip.
  8. Bulkhead is definitely the way to go if you're not in Business although it doesn't seem like those PE seats have a "nook" for a bottle of water or small devices. The Business seats don't seem particularly private. Interesting, thanks for sharing!
  9. Completely agree! FB or CC, I had to say that sadly the judging and not answering the specific question proliferates. This sums it up 😀
  10. I don't recall a blender when we were there last year either. They had a limited list of mixed drinks all served in smallish plastic cups. Still it is nice to not have to pay for drinks on Princess Cays.
  11. The whole ETA process leaves a lot to be desired. Had trouble scanning the passports on the Australia app and the one for the NZeTA was finicky taking our pictures. All except for my hubby's request for the NZeTA were approved immediately, his took a little over 3 days so there was a tiny amount of stress for us but we were glad we did them early. I did make hard copies of the email approvals and your post makes me glad that I did that. Also saved the emails for reference. Hope the rest of your travels are uneventful and safe!
  12. The PDF accessible from this page still shows the old information about submitting via email: https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit . You would think that if they wanted shareholders to use an app it would appear here?
  13. Have a wonderful trip. Will be following along as you are covering some of the same territory that we did pre-Covid on the same ship. We are also headed off to Sydney next month. Enjoy every minute!
  14. I think what you're seeing is the sale coming into play on the lowest cost insides (see details below). The spread is not as pronounced for the other categories and in fact the oceanview cabins aren't that much more than the insides for choose your own. Letting them pick avails you of the current sale pricing, other options not so much.
  15. +1. Although there is no doubt that the new "refined upscale menu" at Crown Grill will come with a price increase.
  16. No, I searched for a cruise that we happened to be booked on while not logged in to the website. Flight Quotes worked.
  17. I just now was able to model air fare for a cruise. I searched for a cruise that we are on this December and the "Flight Quotes" tab was fully functional so I'm not sure why it isn't working for you. As for holds, that is no longer allowed. This was heavily discussed when it happened recently. Going forward we will all have to search for the cruise to see what the going rate is and then hope it stays the same when / if we are ready to book.
  18. Sounds like the person was way off script. What changed in August was the $5 room service fee and the $18 would be the crew appreciation charge for a full suite (it's $16 for a balcony). It would not surprise me that they are pushing Plus but that's the wrong way to do it.Did you book? If you didn't you may want to book it yourself online OR call back and get someone else to see what they say. And if you hear the same thing I'd recommend that you reach out to management to let them know about the deceptive sales practices that are being used by some of their phone reps.
  19. I've had good luck with email. However, I would have hoped that there would have been some sort of notice about them shutting down the fax option. Like at least disconnecting their fax number assigned to these requests so that submissions would fail. That at least would be a clue that the request can't be made in that manner. ETA: The fax number is still on the PDF on the CCL website https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/50351a91-4dc0-4f6b-bfec-684647e6129f
  20. We did the HOHO when we were there and enjoyed it. We actually hopped off for good in the downtown area and walked back to the visitor's center for the shuttle. I remember waiting a very long time in line at the visitor center to get currency. My DH collects it and I remember seeing something about not counting on finding an ATM. Had we known we were going to French Polynesia next year we could have saved the wait (and fees) to get his souvenirs!
  21. You're very welcome! They don't make it easy. I just remembered that they will list the same details under the Itinerary tab when you're logged into your cruise on the Princess website - or at least they used to. But it is best to print the Travel Summary so that you can have it handy if you need it! In case you need a picture here's one with the two locations for the info circled in red.
  22. What you booked should be shown on the Travel Summary which is in the same location as the luggage tags that you need to print. It should display all of the information that you need. Princess doesn't issue anything else to you. The person at baggage claim should have a list of everyone who purchased the transfers as will the hotel.
  23. I was booked on the October 16th cruise but we cancelled at the final payment date. When things in Israel started flaring up in May and the Odyssey OTS had their itinerary changed while underway we started to question if we wanted to take a chance on paying a premium for what could turn out to be a Mediterranean cruise. We lost part of our deposit and just got the rest set up as FCCs last week. Like others I've been watching to see if Celebrity ultimately does give out refunds or full FCCs, it seems like the response to that question varies based on who calls or who answers the phone at Celebrity.
  24. Correct, the October 16th Apex cruise was the last of the three consecutive cruises with the same itinerary. The first one (think it left 9/26?) got the full itinerary and thankfully all were all safe. The second is underway now and barely avoided the Israel port stop as the attacks began when they were on their way in to Haifa. It's too soon to guess about what the future holds but we are going to wait a while to see what happens in the region before we consider rebooking. Just hoping that the horrors end soon for the sake of everyone in Israel. 💔🙏
