  1. On our Alaska cruise in September our ship, Eclipse, got as close to Hubbard as the expensive tour boats…may not happen every time but could be a much better use of your dollars to upgrade your cabin! The Captain spun the ship around slowly so everyone got a great view. Your veranda will keep winds to a minimum so you’ll be able to enjoy the view in private comfort! Nicely done, enjoy!
  2. I’ve really enjoyed following along and experiencing the different excursions and meal choices from what we did in Feb. Thank you for a great report and hope you have a smooth and relaxing trip home! ✈️
  3. Just curious, did you notice if there was a separate Nexus line in the Brooklyn terminal?
  4. I’m also looking forward to following along. Wishing you and your family a wonderful cruise holiday and a Happy Easter! 🐣
  5. Stunning sunset photos! We could understand Captain George but really had to focus..very strong accent for sure. Funny about the windy ports, we were told by locals that Feb is the windiest month in the Caribbean, wonder if that’s just what they tell the visitors 🤣🤔
  6. Interesting that on your cruise the cookies selection is on a tray on the lower level of the case…Silhouette in Feb they were in jars on top of the cabinet…we went thru ALOT of the white chocolate macadamia ones 😋🤫
  7. I’m following too! Have another 13 months before we cruise again so I’m happy you have a few I can follow in the meantime 🤣. Hope you have a blast and that Beyond is good to you! Cheers! 🥂🚢
  8. Omg, I really hope that gymnast is ok, I remember that show from our same sailing in Feb…agree that they were all very good at their performances. We met a couple of them during the backstage tour…one couple is married and the other are best friends. They keep the gymnasts/aerialists pairs together from contract to contract but the dancers and singers get mixed up between contracts. We really enjoyed all the entertainment, including David, the cruise director, very funny. Thank you for all the live posting, lucky you to get another four days…wonder how the vibe onboard may change 🤔🚢🥂
  9. Loving this review and all your wonderful pictures. Agree about the storm yesterday, just didn’t seem to want to go away lol, my husband kept saying he thought the skies were clearing and within minutes we could hear the thunder rumbling and another system moved overhead. Fortunately our hydro only flickered a couple times but never stayed out…we were lucky! Looks much nicer for the weekend 🌞 Happy Easter! 🐣 PS love that lightning photo, very cool!
  10. I wonder if contacting the special needs department prior to sailing would help in your husband’s situation? Might be an option on a future sailing? 🤔
  11. Maybe in Norway they allow marriages when girls are 10? 🤷‍♀️🤣🤣
  12. Guess you won’t be traveling together again? 😉😂
  13. There’s also loungers on 12, in front of the fitness centre.
  14. I heard that the umbrellas were destroyed in the last hurricane so they’ve replaced them with the butterflies. Maybe they’re more wind resistant? 🤷‍♀️
  15. Really wish we’d had the Elton John singer….love all those songs. Keep up the great work!
  16. The rollers are only on M class ships, the OP is sailing Solstice which doesn’t have a T-pool, just a regular pool in the solarium.
  17. Haha, it’s already April 1st down under! 🤣🤣
  18. Great pics and commentary! Bringing back some great memories. Just an FYI, if you want an outdoor view from the front you just have to go thru the fitness centre and there’s a door at the front that leads to a veranda that’s outdoors and there were quite a few lounge chairs out there as well. We’ve used that for port entry views when it was too crowded on the helipad.
  19. Hope you had a great snorkel trip…we were booked on it as well but it was cancelled the evening prior due to projected winds and rip currents 😢. As to the dining…heard the saying about the squeaky wheel and the oil? If you don’t complain/say something, and it can be done in a pleasant but insistent manner, they won’t change you to a nicer table or area…up to you or Mr tho 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, thanks for the great posting and really hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your holiday! 🥂🚢
  20. We usually ate around 7… we were seated in his section on day three or four and loved our four top in the corner against the window. We spoke to the hostess and she told us that there were another group that ate there at 5:30 so they’d save it for us after that. We’d send one of our group to the podium around 6:30 and she’d give us a pager. Worked out really well for us. Glad you had a great time…doesn’t it seem like forever ago when you come back to this crazy Spring weather? 🥶 ❄️
  21. This is so funny, we sat near the front as well, just around the wall and had a Cristobal as our server and he was fantastic. Different assistant server who was hit or miss so I’m glad, if it’s the same Cristobal that he now has a great assistant. I’ll try and attach a photo of our group on the last night with Cristobal. Same guy?
  22. We also flew down to Ft. Lauderdale from Pearson but in Feb..Super Bowl Sunday lol. Our flight was scheduled for just after 6am and we arrived at the airport just after 3:30 and breezed thru baggage drop and security. We had Nexus so that helped with Customs but our travelling companions didn’t have Nexus and they weren’t too far behind. Guess it really depends on the day and time, no rhyme or reason it seems. We stayed in Ft. Lauderdale and just took a shuttle to Miami the next morning to board the ship. I’d do that again next time, so much cheaper than staying in Miami and the flights were hundreds cheaper than Toronto to Miami as well.
  23. You have such a great attitude! But, what is this Easter competition they’re having that not all guests can participate? That doesn’t sound fair at all and I’ve never heard of an onboard contest that not all passengers could participate in 😠 Have to agree about your comment re the podium speaker, your current speaker is different than the one we had but it’s tough to compete with Milos or Brent 😅
  24. Sounds like you’re having a great start to your cruise, glad it’s all going well. I noticed that you have a new Podium speaker from our cruise in February, the topics so far def sound more interesting. Cruise director David is so great, we really enjoyed his participation in many events and his general good humour..very approachable too. If they have the archery try to sign up, was a lot of fun and I won a deck of celebrity cards 🃏. Not much I know but we love to play lol. Cheers! 🥂 🍻
  25. Totally agree about staying overnight before flying out. We had a 6am flight from Pearson to Ft. Lauderdale and a bit longer drive than you so we stayed a night preflight as well. Ended up at Embassy Suites pre as well as post cruise. Very nice hotel and the price was comparable to yours. Bit of an ordeal when you have a long drive to the airport and an early flight. We had no issues with our AC flight, other than one of my sister’s bags didn’t make the flight but that’s a whole other story. Enjoying your pictures and report, and your pups are super cute!
