  1. Following! This itinerary is on my to do! Looking forward to lots of pics, thanks for posting!
  2. The cabins connect outside the room, before you enter, there’s no connecting door actually inside your cabin.
  3. As an example, on deck 9 cabins on the starboard side 9270 and 9266 have the deepest balconies and 9268 and 9264 have the second deepest balconies. Cabins are all the same size. This works the same on the port side and with the cabins facing aft. 9272 through 9290 are all standard balconies but are nice because they have no obstruction to the water below.
  4. The hump balconies on the angle, both forward and aft are def deeper. The first and third from the outside are the deepest and the 2nd and fourth are deeper than regular balconies but not as much as the first and third. The ones on the bump but on the straight part are the same as regular verandas. Def make sure you have cabins above and below you for the least possible extra noise.
  5. Yes, if you add up the costs of each of those inclusions separately it sounds like the all included fee would be a better deal.
  6. We’re boarding on the 13th for 10 nights. We’re not in a suite so will be doing MDR. I will def come back upon our return and give a review as we only have the basic wifi and even when we were on Eclipse in September it wasn’t allowing me on CC. I’m also curious as to the differences/cutbacks from that sailing to this one, just a few months later.
  7. Thanks for posting and wishing you calm seas and great food and drink! Are you connecting on your flight or is it one of the new nonstops to Florida? What type cabin are you in? Glad your Mom is feeling better!
  8. Thanks for your update. We’re on the Silhouette on the 13th for ten nights. I’m a bit frustrated as we paid for an experience that doesn’t seem to be happening since the start of this year. We sailed Eclipse in Sept and had a wonderful time and enjoyed our dinners in the MDR but now I’m not expecting much beyond basic cafeteria fare this time around. It’s not just the drink service that’s been affected but the dining room offerings seem substandard too…did you notice any differences on your sailing?
  9. That’s too bad but yes, def inevitable. What was the protocol? Did you stay in your cabin in isolation for the remainder of the second leg or disembark?
  10. Can you share what number you use and how long the wait is? Thx
  11. We sail Feb 13 and have the included classic package…I’m wondering if anyone knows if the upgrade to premium is also discounted? Save me a lengthy call?
  12. The T-pool is only on the M class ships, so def not on Reflection. The S class ships do have a Solarium with an indoor pool which is free for everyone 16 and up and for kids with families during select times depending on the voyage. We love the T-pool and feel it’s the one thing missing that would make the S class the perfect ship for us. 😉
  13. With all due respect it’s absolutely easier to have a glass half full attitude when you can afford to sail in a suite and the aforementioned cuts don’t impact your onboard experience to the same degree as those, like me, with an upcoming sailing in a veranda who paid to enjoy an experience that has been vastly reduced from what we were promised when we booked only a few months ago. No doubt we’ll still enjoy our break from our cold and snowy winter however the value and experience, especially as it pertains to dining will not be what we had been looking forward to only a few weeks ago. I sincerely hope everyone that is on a cruise in the next few months has a wonderful holiday in spite of the cutbacks, we’ll be doing our best for sure, fortunately the crew often makes our holiday extra special and it sounds like they’re as attentive and wonderful as always. Bon voyage!
  14. I totally get where you’re coming from and I assume the posters who’ve responded so far haven’t sailed on Celebrity since Jan 1st when the numerous cutbacks began. I’ve sailed X as recent as Sept and the menus then were vastly more enticing than what I’m seeing from posters who’ve sailed since January 1st. I am on the Silhouette in three weeks and since we’re not in the retreat or even dining in Blu I’ll be getting a good look at the MDR menus. At this point we only have Tuscan grille booked for embarkation day so there’ll be lots of MDR dining. We do occasionally grab dinner in the Buffet and eat outside on the back deck which can be a lovely change however the recent cutbacks to the buffet dinner experience may curtail that as well. I’ll def report back when we return.
  15. Thanks for this info. We just cancelled our Miami hotel and booked a hotel near Dania Beach…one of the ones that SAS serves and following all the positive reviews on this board booked them for our transport to POM the next day. Not sure how many others will be on the same shuttle but we’re booked for 9:30 pickup and have 10:30 reservation for checkin at Miami, hopefully there in time 🤞
  16. Thank you! Wonder if you can just have them stir fry the veggies and find some rice at another station…🤔🤷‍♀️, I’m trying to work out a way to avoid pasta every dinner as the only thing made freshly
  17. In the picture you posted, after the one advertising the Mexican menu, there a cook with an assortment of dishes in front of her and two frypans/skillets beside that…is she doing stir fry possibly? I can’t see the details in the picture without expanding it and then it gets blurry.
  18. Re the wait for service in the MDR…it’s a peeve of mine that even at a table for two the server will often wait to take orders for three to four tables that have been seated at varying times. You only get served your meal depending on the last table seated in your server’s area.
  19. Thank you everyone for confirming what I’ve been afraid of…obviously terms changed since we sailed in September. Will be getting some travel insurance right away!
  20. We’re booked next month on Silhouette so obviously have made final payment. If we were to cancel prior to embarkation do we still get fcc for the payments made less the $100pp admin fee? Don’t see this on the FAQs anymore and not sure if I’m missing it anywhere else.
  21. Very much enjoying your review, thank you! Question about the straws…are they the disintegrating paper ones or a new form of something more like plastic but more environmentally friendly?
  22. Hope you have a wonderful holiday and I’m looking forward to following along! 🥂
  23. Am so loving this review and will be very sorry for you to go home 😉 Love the pics of the penguins…please tell me those were taken with your iPhone? You really do have a special knack for travel reporting! And I loved your list of the pros of solo sailing…would love to do that as well however my DH would catch on too quickly and I’d end up finding him in the seat beside me in the plane…
  24. I’ll be following as well, very interested in your impressions of the various ports. We have family in NZ and are planning a visit next Feb to see more of your stunning country and adding an itinerary like this would be perfect! Thanks for doing this live review, hope the wifi cooperates 🤞🥂🚢
