  1. So sad to hear this. Condolences to an extremely dedicated caregiver. Roy
  2. Today's alternative maps: I cheated a bit. What I showed is actually Crystal Serenity but they're almost exactly the same position, Roy
  3. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie, and happy Friday. Not sure I will celebrate Big Wind day but wow!. I have been to Mt Washington a couple of times. It's good to have a day to recognize street children but we also need to have a constant maintenance of services. I will celebrate the dawn of human space flight. I like the quote today. I've been to Cozumel several times, Jewel OTS in 2012, Crystal Symphony in 2013, Grandeur of the Seas in 2015, and Empress of the Seas in 2019. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Pineapple, Banana, Strawberry Compote, Chilled Apricot Soup with Snow Egg, Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, and Mango Blueberry Crisp as served on MS Zaandam April 12, 2017: I did my errands early this morning with periods of rain, and am now hunkered down inside for the rest of the day although I don't expect a lot more rain. Roy

  8. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. I'll pass on today's days. Longworth sounds like quite a character. This was definitely a great day in US history. Happy Birthday to @Haljo1935 DH, I cruised to Norfolk just once, Blount's Grande Mariner in 2006. I have no photos that I can identify as Norfolk but have a couple of memories. We docked across the channel from a drydock where Crystal Symphony was being updated and I could see our ship on Symphony's bow cam. Earlier on that cruise we had a port call in Baltimore, and at that call my "tour" was back home to vote since it was election day. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Anjou Pear Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Turkey Roast with Giblet Gravy and Cranberry as served on MS Amsterdam April 10, 2014. Roy
  9. You are correct about that. I'm wondering about the next transition and the possible conflicts with PVSA. Obviously, the ships that were out got a pass the first time since returning to Baltimore was physically impossible. Not sure if a cruise from Norfolk to Baltimore would be similarly forgiven, The good news is that Vision of the Seas is going to drydock after the current cruise and when she comes back she should be able to navigate the temporary channel due to be available by the end of this month. Carinval Legend is repositioning to Europe but Carnival Pride will return before that channel is open. She may do a few more cruises from Norflok, and might stay there until the next 14-day cruise which is at the end of May. It goes to Greenland which I think makes the reposition legal. Roy
  10. Just wondering. Do you and DH use the same email. You might need to create your own email address first. Roy
  11. Bon Voyage Larry and Monica. Roy
  12. Today's sunrise is from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. On April 10 Crystal Symphony was at sea from Iquique, Chile to Pisco, Peru: Roy

  14. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Sadly, I lost my only sibling 3 years ago. Most of my immediate ancestors were farmers with animals. The Salvation Army has done a lot of good work. I like the quote. I visited Petra Just once, Silver Whisper, in 2007. An awesome experience that is probably done both early in the day and while still relatively young as the heat is very harsh. A great day for London in 1858. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Fruit Salad with Sambuca, Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus, and Blackberry Sundae as served on MS Zaandam April 10, 2017: Looks like I got quite eager to start on the entree. Roy

  18. Ouch @marshhawk. Prayers for Chuck. I feel very fortunate living in Central Maryland with two fantastic teaching hospitals, University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. They do not communicate directly but both are part of mychart, and they can easily see what my other key doctors are doing. My cardiologist and emergency room are both part of Hopkins, while my valve repair and radiation oncology are with UM. My regular oncologist is not directly on either network but his office has a direct connect connection to radiology and they 2 doctors chat at the drop of a hat. At least the communication that's most needed comes very easily, and everything has been extremely seamless so far. I also have a great primary and the doctors keep him in the loop and a very good urgent care close to my house. Roy

  20. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Happy Birthdat @luvteaching. Happy Anniversary Gerry and Maurice, I wish you many more., I think I'll pass on Jenkins Ear and feel like Jumbo was likely exploited. No antiques but they are important, I like Saint Augustine's quote. John Hancock was one of our true heroes. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Rhubarb Soup and Farmers Choice Salad with Grilled Chicken as served on MS Amsterdam April 9, 2014. I had a lot of errands to run this morning and when I returned there were 2 messages on my phone. My Cardiologist called to alert me to a new chat on my chart. She felt the Valve Clinic was less urgent than she did yesterday but I will do it to set up a baseline with them. The other was the person who does the halter monitors. When we did connect it is scheduled to be placed Thursday morning, and stay on for 3 days. I will return it to the UPS store for analysis Monday. Then this afternoon the scheduler called and we set up the appoint for the Valve Clinic consultation, It is sooner than I expected (late May) and it will be at a satellite facility that should be a bit easier to get to than the big city hospital. Roy
