  1. We did that itinerary in 2019. The temperatures were warmer than usual in the upper 60’s and low 70’s which was perfect for seeing the sights. We did have several days of rain/overcast so umbrellas or rain gear are essential. Dress in layers and you will be fine.
  2. Those of you that used the link posted then got the error message log out of your account then log back in or check on the AMEX app under offers. We got the same error message then saw it under offers on our account. Thanks for posting the link.
  3. If Maria is still in Crooners she makes the best strawberries on fire. We were on the Sapphire earlier this year for 26 days and found hers to be the best of all the bartenders.
  4. We just returned from a 26 day cruise on the Sapphire and our adult daughter slept on the sofa sleeper in our room. They are not as long as a regular bed so she slept somewhat sideways. She felt that it was comfortable but again each mattress is different. As others said just ask for a topper if necessary. To provide privacy for everyone we also purchased a set of long window curtains and hung them from the ceiling each night using magnet hangers. It worked great to also provide an extra dressing area on early port days.
  5. We used Oman Day Tours out of Salalah Oman this past March. Just want to give everyone a heads up that the city not walking distance from the port and the local taxi drivers charge a lot to get to town. We had a tour booked but we heard from several folks that the only way into town from the port was a cab and they were charging USD$40 one way into town. We were able to book a tour that lasted 5 hours for UD$60 a person for 3 people in a private vehicle. We found Oman Day Tours to be excellent during our planning process with prompt responses to email inquiries. The only glitch was that our tour guide was supposed to meet us at the ship but he did not have the correct paperwork. Several representatives of the company did meet the ship and quickly made arrangements for us to get a ride to the port gate to meet our guide Alli. Alli spoke excellent English and gave us a wonderful tour of the area providing plenty of time for us to take photos at each stop. He was very personable and we spent the time riding in the car discussing many issues and laughing at his jokes. He made every effort to position our vehicle for the best photo shot if we were unable to get out of the vehicle. Would definitely tour with them again.
  6. We just returned from a cruise and thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast with Italytours.EU. Our driver Giuseppe did an excellent job driving and providing commentary along the way. He was a very engaging person and made the trip quite entertaining. We enjoyed our tour of Pompeii and felt our guide Annalisa did a wonderful job of explaining the site. I do not recommend that anyone with mobility issues take this tour unless you discuss with the company in advance as Pompeii is not easy to get around, The restaurant Il Convivio suggested by our driver gave quick service and allowed us time to tour Sorrento. Our driver was able to get us to all sites promised and still get us back to the ship on time in spite of delays due to the other travelers mobility issues. Would definitely tour with this company again. The fact that they allowed us to pay a small portion upfront to hold the trip was also very appreciated.

  9. We just returned from a 13 day land/cruise Princess tour and would be happy to correspond privately with you on any specific questions you might have. It is beautiful but as others have mentioned the travel between sites was a bit much at times especially having to put luggage out at 6:30-7:00 in the morning.   11. Not sure exactly how it works when waitlisted for excursions but the full suite benefit PDF does include the following statement. “VIP priority onboard shore excursion reservations” Doesn’t hurt to print this document out and show to the shore excursions desk. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  12. Get in touch with a good travel agent. If you are booking that many rooms you should be able to get a couple of fares comped by using a group rate. Then you can decide whether you get the free fare or split the savings. Usually they will not discount the fares but instead offer the free cabin and you have to decide on how to split the savings. Just make sure all the bookings are done at the same time with the same agent. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  13. Our daughters traveled with us last January on a western Caribbean cruise. They were booked in an inside and received an upsell offer to a balcony. The year before it was an upgrade from an inside to a caribe balcony. As others have mentioned you never know how the itinerary will sell. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  14. Everything should be online in your cruise personalizer. Go to the main page where you print boarding passes. Just below documents area in small print is a link to “print travel summary”. This should have all the Princess included tours and any you have booked on your own via the Princess website along with times. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  15. Thanks so much for taking the time to give a current report on the connoisseur tour. Looking forward to the rest of your report as doing a 6 day connoisseur tour the end of August.
