  1. It won't. Already tried. And Tobiquexxxx- The Viking agent would have put you on the general email list. In my extensive experience, they all claim not to know about these promotions. So, where are those promotion codes?
  2. Consider the Athens Gate Hotel. Stayed there on my first visit to Athens. Great location. Depending on the direct of your room, you could see the Acropolis or Hadrian's Temple.
  3. Just to make this tread interesting- I have complained numerous times to Viking about this. The only rational to me is that Viking does not value loyalty. Is it really fair that I pay more than the passenger in the next cabin solely because I have a future cruise upcoming every time I sail with them?
  4. oh boy! This should be interesting. Now Viking will not send promotions to anyone!
  5. LisaDee... My two cents- Book your next cruise directly with Viking. And then transfer it over to your TA. Then everyone, including yourself should be happy. No painful "go between". Your TA gets their commission and you get OBC. Not sure where DrKoob get his info. If you cancelled a cruise, no cruise line will pay a TA. TA's were paid when cruises were cancelled by the cruise lines due to Covid.
  6. Gary- Loved almost everything. Looking forward to the balance of your cruise reports. Could you tell me if Maya (Guest Services) is still on the ship? If she is, could you find out what ship she will be on during November and December? Thank you.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong about you. English is a second language for you? Sorry I went back on my word and replied to you.
  8. I looked at the drinks menu onboard the Dawn and looked at it yesterday at NCL.com My complaint was how much they were charging. The extra $1.20 is great for a shot of Baileys if you have the package, but that's not the issue. What will the other drinks cost in a few years? They are driving passengers who drink to the higher package. And please don't talk about knowing the tricks, One shot everywhere was $16.20 and a double shot was.....wait for it.....double.
  9. Chiefmate- Let me say this slow and loud- Y-E-S. Please see my post #11. Enough said.
  10. It is truly NCL'd attempt to get passenger's to pay the $29 upcharge to the Premium Plus package. I had about $10 in extra drink charges. Every drink made me more annoyed. I wrote a note to the hotel manager about it. The assistant beverage manager called to talk to me. His reply was to indicate my dissatisfaction on the survey. I did. And I also was told by a bartender that there was no Baileys on the ship. All those bottles I saw on the shelf must have been empty.
  11. Let me give you a little of my background. Approximately 30 NCL cruises beginning with the SS Norway. I got off last week on my first post Covid cruise (Dawn). Now, my little "upset". I love Baileys. And yes, I did have the beverage package. But how can anyone (including NCL) justify pricing a double shot of Baileys at $32.40? Or for that matter, Hendricks at $20 For a few years now, NCL has offered no variety on their wines under $15. They have been $8 and then jump to $17. Imagine what a $8 wine anywhere (except in Europe) must be like. And yes, I can afford being nickeled and dimed by NCL. However, I choose to avoid it. I fear for the future of the NCL beverage package. I am happy to report that beers appear to very safe.
