  1. We have to vacate at 9am. No apology and certainly SS is doing NONE of things Forbes recommends.
  2. I think it is ! Some insta crazy millennial at RCI thought this would be cool. We received notice that we must vacate suites by 9 and and first off is 12:45. How's that for luxury and customer service?
  3. Regent has amazing laundry service and we do love it, but don't decide based on it.
  4. FYI, we still have been given no information on whether we can stay in our suites for the additional 4 hours or whether they expect all 700+ of us to wait in public areas. They are providing zero assistance to anyone who did not book door to door, nor will they commit to a time we will be off the ship. We need to arrange a driver now, but not possible to do without a time. I was told this morning they have no answers but "hope to in a few days". It is a real shame as the ship is lovely and the service and food have been good. Forbes continues to report on it and this article is spot on! https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerdooley/2024/03/08/how-royal-caribbean-silversea-can-recover-from-photoshoot-debacle/?sh=cda609a4a465&fbclid=IwAR2ZwmVT_mLN2e_19WuaBOhjTf-F4Xjp6qtClWgKY0FkPA1QTR9A0iSXqno
  5. No, as they will not be disembarking on the same day.
  6. They have offered to compensate what they consider to be reasonable fare difference and expenses. It is high season in Florida and flights have been difficult to get for some time. The train, Brightline, is also very popular. Those tickets are almost all non-refundable and the later trains booked.
  7. We are headed to Barbados now to board Nova for a ten night sailing. I pull up my email this morning and see this: "Dear Esteemed Guest, Your voyage aboard the sublime Silver Nova is fast approaching, and we can't wait to welcome you aboard in Bridgetown. Today, we want to share an update regarding your disembarkation in Fort Lauderdale. Due to the timing of Silver Nova sailing near fellow Royal Caribbean Group’s new vessels, Icon of the Seas and Celebrity Ascent, and the unique conditions to celebrate their first reunion with a planned photo opportunity on 13 March, the ship will modify her navigational path slightly delaying arrival to Fort Lauderdale until 11:00 am on 15 March in lieu of the initially scheduled 7:00 am arrival. Although this adjustment will not impact your itinerary in any way, some guests may need to modify post-voyage travel plans in response to this later arrival to Fort Lauderdale. For guests with air arrangements through Silversea, our teams will review all schedules, arrange new outbound flights, if appropriate, and communicate the new arrangements as soon as possible. Air transfers will be modified accordingly. For guests with independent travel arrangements, please reach out to your travel advisor or your air carrier directly if you have a currently scheduled flight departing on 15 March that would be affected by a later disembarkation. We advise securing flights departing no earlier than 5:00 pm on 15 March. Silversea will reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket costs for any change, cancellation, or differential air travel fees. To request an adjustment, guests should email receipts to guestrelations@silversea.com. Refunds and claims will be reviewed and processed within 30 days of receipt. We hope you'll join us to celebrate this first reunion of Royal Caribbean's three new vessels. Please meet on the pool deck (decks 10 and 11) at 6:15 am on 13 March, and let's toast together. Kindly know drone photography and filming will be taking place between 6:00 and 7:00 am that day. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to your travel advisor or cruise consultant. We look forward to delivering the authentic beauty of the Caribbean, the unforgettable landscapes, history and culture. Best personal regards, Silversea" This has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen a cruise line do! Do they really think all of us should be trying to change flights/trains/drivers at the very last minute - or contacting our Travel Advisors to do so - during one of the busiest times of the year in Florida? I am appalled that a so called luxury line would put their passengers through this nonsense for a photo op! It is ridiculous!
  8. We don't do shows but are very interested in live music for dancing. How has that been on Nova? We board next week.
  9. We had outstanding entertainment on SB Ovation, which was nothing like you describe. Two live bands with talented musicians who played a wide variety of music for dancing. We went to see them every evening. The piano bar was in TK and the pianist was very good. The duo in in the Observation lounge was the only snoozefest. Our CD and staff were also talented and the best I've experienced on the ocean, including a recent disappointed on RSSC.
  10. We are on Nova in ten days and will be interested in entertainment. We do not do shows, but we do love music and dancing. SB excels in that category, and the two house bands on our last SB were outstanding! Hoping for at least good dancing after dinner to live music. And also interested to see what Silver Note is actually like.
  11. Because if you are waitlisted and choose another, there is a fee. They seem to assume the WL will clear. We leave in ten days and have exactly this issue.
  12. Nice hotel! I spent a few nights there not very long ago. Well located.
  13. They use a bus or a train, depending on your package. We are doing cruise only Seward to Vancouver, therefore we are on the bus versus the train. We were told we cannot upgrade to the train because we are cruise only and not Door to Door. Silly IMO but it is what it is. Anchorage is small and you can taxi to the Egan to meet the bus.
  14. Nice! Not the case in April on Ovation.
  15. Unless you have a suite on AZ, the staterooms and bathrooms are TINY. No comparison to SS. Specialty dining extra. Upcharges for premium spirits.
  16. There was something for singles every evening on our Ovation cruise - and they looked to be having an excellent time!
  17. Thank you! I have a few ocean cruises booked this year so I'm back 🙂
  18. It is and we avoid those like the plague.
  19. Was on Navigator recently and there was exactly ONE yoga class offered on a 7 night cruise. Zero pilates and a few very basic stretch classes. I was very, very disappointed and it was certainly not as advertised.
  20. I am trying to refer others. Thanks.
  21. What exactly is the process for their referral system? I read the information on their site multiple times but find it as clear as mud. I printed the forms and they are filled out and ready to go. It is not even clear where to email them. Then they want the guest "registered". Very confusing. Any insight is appreciated!
  22. We loved the live music on Seabourn Ovation! Two great house bands and lots of dancing!
  23. On the Danube now and sailed from Passau yesterday. No issues forecasted this week.
  24. We had a major snorer in PG this week that pretty much ran everyone else off. His wife was next to him on a lounger and did not even wake him.
