Our local neighbourhood supermarket provides paper bags to place fruit and vegetables in, to purchase. Cows are important for our economy, plan to cook a Roast Beef Sirloin for dinner this evening. Wrapped up very cosily when I went out for my walk. Thanks for all the daily reports. I like blueberries, I always order them at breakfast on BHB's. Always have some in the freezer during winter as I often make Blueberry muffins. Yes, "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society " is a book well worth reading, have also seen the film, much better to read the book. Thanks for all the photos of Guernsey. Thanks for all the contributions to the Fleet/Daily thread. We have visited Honolulu during Trans Pacific cruises on the Volendam. Thank you to @Quartzsite Cruiser and @kazu for multiquoting posts. @rafinmd Roy, thank you for continuing with the Care and Celebration lists while you are away from home. The first cruise ship at our local port for the upcoming cruise season will be the Celebrity Eclipse on October 26th. the first cruise ship to visit since Covid closed our borders. Yesterday we delivered "Meals on Wheels" to housebound people, then shopping for a new iron as my iron died on Thursday while using it........suddenly foul smelling smoke poured out of it. Then lunch in town before returning home. We have sailed in 7002 on the Volendam (sister ship to the Zaandam) many , many times, it's a quiet location, officers quarters are forward of 7002, never heard any noise from the officers quarters. We are so fond of 7002, that we call it "Our" stateroom. There is a doorway in the hallway separating the passenger area from the officers quarters.
